Hasbro’s Marvel Universe (now Marvel Infinite Series) 4″ action figure line is famous for giving us hundreds of action figures from across the Marvel Universe, including numerous versions of iconic characters, beloved fan-favorites… and characters that 99.9% of the free world has never heard of. The subject of today’s review is of the latter group. He’s easily the most obscure character Hasbro has released this year, and you can buy him now for MSRP or below online–it’s the Marvel Infinite Series Korg figure!

While it hasn’t exactly been getting the ludicrous amount of hype that other movies coming out in the near future (*cough* Star Wars *cough*) are, there’s a superhero movie hitting theaters in just over three months called “Deadpool”. And while there won’t be a plethora of Deadpool toys at mass retail when the movie does drop, Hasbro has lined up at least one new(-ish) figure for fans to chase after: the Marvel Infinite Series Deadpool figure mold is an oldie, but is it still a goodie…?
Continue Reading →Over the weekend I posted my review of one of the three “make-good” figures included in the final wave of Hasbro Marvel Infinite Series 3 3/4″ figures: Emma Frost. I was mostly satisfied with that figure of the White Queen, but even so, one of the other Marvel Universe leftovers has stolen Emma’s thunder, in my opinion! I almost didn’t order the Marvel Infinite Series Juggernaut Colossus figure, as I wasn’t sure I needed a toy of this character. I was so, so wrong… this just may be my favorite 4″ Marvel figure of 2015!
Continue Reading →As soon as Hasbro confirmed the lineup for the final wave of Marvel Infinite Series 3 3/4″ figures, I instantly knew which character fans were going to be salivating for most.
Though she was scrapped at the tail end of the Marvel Universe line, she made it in just in time for the end of this one! She’s already selling around $20 online, but is this Marvel Infinite Series Emma Frost 4″ figure a diamond like its namesake can turn into…?
Continue Reading →One of the surprise “hot” Hasbro figures of 2015 has been the 6″ Marvel Legends Chameleon figure from the second Spider-Man wave of the year. Given how well-received by collectors and difficult to find in stores that figure is, I had high expectations for the Marvel Infinite Series Chameleon 4″ figure and immediately bust it open when I received my 2015 Marvel Infinite Series Wave 3 set from EE. Unfortunately, despite how “right” the Marvel Legends version was, this Chameleon figure is a bit of a dud in comparison…
Continue Reading →Sharp-eyed collectors noticed something a little bit peculiar at the San Diego Comic-Con 2015 Hasbro Marvel panel–the “Marvel Legends” logo on every slide that showed 3 3/4″ Marvel Infinite Series figures. At the time, we thought it might be an … Continue Reading →
Over the weekend, I decided to take some time to discuss the revival of Hasbro Marvel Comic Packs coming up in 2016. But of course, those two-packs won’t be the only 4″ Marvel Infinite Series figures coming our way this winter!
The successor to the Marvel Universe line rolls on next year, with six figures each in Marvel Infinite Series 2016 Wave 1 and Wave 2… and, oh yeah: Lockjaw is coming!
Continue Reading →There’s been a definite lack of Marvel toy news over the last several days, which I imagine has something to do with this “Star Wars” thing that every toy company seems to be all excited about right now. And so, while there’s nothing new to talk about, per se, I think I will take this opportunity to go back and talk about something I skipped discussing in my San Diego Comic-Con 2015 coverage: the first twelve Marvel Infinite Series 2016 figures comprising Comic Packs Series 1 and Series 2… including Lady Thor and Falcon Captain America!
Continue Reading →Hasbro has been pretty stingy regarding specific release details for the upcoming 3.75″ Marvel Infinite Series waves this year, leading a lot of collectors to wonder if something is up with the line. But it appears that things are back on track following the summer deluge of Marvel Legends and Avengers: Age of Ultron series figures, as the 2015 Marvel Infinite Series Wave 3 figures are finally up for order! And not only are there six new figures up for order, but three of them are ones collectors have been waiting for literally for years: Northstar, Juggernaut Colossus and Emma Frost!
Continue Reading →With no substantial rumors swirling about and no leaked images of unknown Marvel Infinite Series 3 3/4″ figures surfacing from overseas, I’ve had my doubts for a while now that we would actually see any kind of exclusive SDCC 2015 Marvel Universe figures set from Hasbro. Well, I think we can effectively put the nail in the coffin of any chance of a SDCC 2015 Marvel Infinite Series set today, as Hasbro has revealed its final two Comic-Con exclusive Marvel items: six figures themed around Ant-Man! But hey… one of them is 3 3/4″. That’s pretty good, right…?
Continue Reading →Up until this week, it had been a month or so since there were new Hasbro Marvel figures released. But recess is over, and Hasbro has declared open season on collectors’ wallets once again! While 20+ Marvel Legends figures went up for sale this week, Hasbro didn’t want to leave their 4″ collectors out in the dust entirely: the Ant-Man & Flying Ant Marvel Infinite Series set is now up for order!
Continue Reading →A decade ago, I could pretty much plan on at least one store-exclusive Star Wars store figure, vehicle or box set being released per month. These days, though, Marvel has stolen all the store-exclusive mojo (for now), and it seems you can’t throw a rock without hitting a bunch of exclusive Marvel figures. And today, I finally stumbled across an Avengers Age of Ultron 3-Pack I’d been watching out for for months, including the exclusive Hasbro 4″ Ultron Mark 1 figure!
Continue Reading →You wouldn’t know it from the amount of news articles that ran anyway, but I was actually on vacation last week. Some items did slip through the cracks, though, and among them are some 4″ Avengers Age of Ultron figures two-packs. None of the figures are exactly “new”, and they’re exclusive to Toys R Us stores–but hey, they’ve got more than 5 points of articulation! That’s something, right…?
Continue Reading →I woke up this morning to the terrifying realization that there was no caffeine in the house. Seeking to avert this catastrophe, I decided to do an early-morning Target run, even though I wasn’t on the hunt for anything of the non-caffeinated variety. Luckily, I don’t think I’ve ever been in a Target in my entire life without checking the toy department, so I had to do a quick check–and discovered some figures I didn’t even know were out! The sorta-awaited 4″ Hasbro Avengers Age of Ultron Scarlet Witch, Iron Legion, War Machine and more have now been released!
Continue Reading →While the Hasbro Marvel Legends Infinite Series 3 3/4″ figures are back in 2015 for another year, the style and articulation level of new molds have undergone a drastic change going forward. This switch hasn’t exactly been met with open arms by collectors, but I decided to pick up the new Black Cat figure for review anyway.
Is she good? Sort of. Is the Marvel Infinite Series Black Cat worth buying for $13-$15…? Well…
