While Mezco Toyz had some of the biggest show-stopping premieres at New York Toy Fair 2019 (including the insanely cool Ghost Rider & Motorcycle set), they didn’t have quite as many never-before-seen Marvel ONE:12 Collective figures on display at their booth as many fans might have liked. But while the in-person reviews may have disappointed some, a couple unexpected reveals in the 2019 catalog are likely to blow a lot of minds—Marvel ONE:12 Collective Gambit and Moon Knight!

Yesterday I talked about the impressive trio of resin Marvel Premier Collection statues Diamond Select Toys brought to New York Toy Fair 2019, but today let’s look at the latest entries in their ever-improving and extremely popular Marvel Gallery PVC range! As always, DST brought the goods to Toy Fair, with brand new value-priced Marvel Gallery Beast, Proxima Midnight, Goblin Queen and Captain Marvel PVC figures!
Continue Reading →One company that never, ever disappoints me at Toy Fair is Diamond Select Toys, and they continued that streak with some absolute eye-poppers at the 2019 Toy Fair. I’ll talk about their various Marvel Select, Gallery and Minimates figures throughout the next few days, but today let’s look at the items that impressed me most: their upcoming Marvel Premier Collection Iceman, Carnage and Green Goblin statues!
Continue Reading →While it would be difficult for Mezco Toyz to surpass the sheer number of surprises Marvel ONE:12 Collective reveals that they had at last year’s show, they did have one major headliner on-hand at the show: the ONE:12 Collective Ghost … Continue Reading →
Remember that Medicom MAFEX Wolverine figure that went up for sale last month and made thousands of X-Men collectors’ jaws hang out of their mouths? Well, it looks like that Wolverine wasn’t a random, one-off figure! Over the weekend at this year’s Winter Wonder Fest 2019 in Chiba, Japan, Medicom was on-hand with a surprise prototype for what’s presumably their next 6″ X-Men figure: MAFEX Cyclops in his Jim Lee 90s X-Men costume!

Figuarts Hulk has got free shipping and is discounted a few bucks to a less extortionate price. With this being the first time a non-Gladiator Hulk Figuarts figure has ever been available without importing, it’s a safe bet this figure will be a complete sell-through like Thanos and escalate on the aftermarket quickly, so make sure to snap one up soon if you want him…
Continue Reading →The countdown is on, as we’re now just 19 days away from what’s sure to be a New York Toy Fair 2019 jam-packed with new reveals for Hasbro Marvel Legends, DST Gallery and more. But while we wait, let’s take a look at the latest round of relevant high-end statues from Diamond Select Toys: the Marvel Premier Collection Mystique Statue & Legends in 3D Iron Man 1:2 Bust are now up for order!
Continue Reading →Just as Psylocke fans have been enjoying a feast of new collectibles for the X-Men’s most popular telekinetic ninja lately, there’s been a multitude of new yellow costume Wolverine toys and statues released over the last year as well (including a much-loved Sideshow Premium Format Figure 1/4, a Marvel Legends figure and even a Revoltech). But the latest action figure of the Best There Is At What He Does has been praised by some as perhaps the best yet: the MAFEX Wolverine figure is now up for order! Let’s have a look…
Continue Reading →January 2019 has been a semi-quiet month news-wise, but when it rains, it pours. And when Diamond Select Toys sends out a new round of solicitations, it practically monsoons! DST has a whopping SEVEN new Marvel figures and statues in their latest round of solicits, and today I’ll be looking at a trio of them from one of my favorite lines: the Marvel Gallery Okoye, Dazzler and PS4 Spider-Man Rhino Figures are now up for order!
Continue Reading →Although the Marvel 6”-7” figure market was already starting to look a little bit crowded back in 2016, when the Kaiyodo Revoltech Marvel Comics series of figures burst onto the scene, the collecting sphere quickly gobbled up the amazing line. Kaiyodo has created over a dozen major comic book versions of Marvel heroes in the past few years, and now they’re moving on to a character many will be shocked they haven’t already tapped: the Kaiyodo Revoltech Bleeding Edge Iron Man is now up for order! With countless Iron Men on the market, can this one stand out?
Continue Reading →Diamond Select Toys has spent the last few years revolutionizing the size, detail and quality that we can expect from value-priced PVC statues, and as they’ve become one of my absolute favorite companies, it only seems right to kick off 2019 with a Marvel Gallery review to see how far the line has come. The less than $45 Marvel Gallery Venom Statue just started shipping this winter, and despite its low price, it’s one of my favorite (and the most unique) Venom figures in the land…
Continue Reading →Iron Studios is one who company that the casual collector awareness of grew explosively for in 2018, largely due to their enormously popular (and expansive!) line of reasonably-priced resin Avengers Infinity War statues. But to close out the year, the banner piece they’ve solicited isn’t movie-based—it’s classic comic book fan all the way: the Iron Studios Hobgoblin Statue is now up for order! Between this and the DST statue, Hobgoblin fans are gonna have quite a choice to make in 2019…
Continue Reading →Marvel Gallery by Diamond Select Toys has been one of the big joys to collect in my life this year, so it seems only right that we get another batch of solicitations for the line before 2018 comes to a close! This last wave of solicits for the year includes two statues we knew about—and two that are a complete surprise! The Marvel Gallery Carnage, PS4 Spider-Man, Hulkbuster and Unmasked Mark 50 Iron Man are now up for order!
Continue Reading →There was a time about four years ago when I still had delusions that it was possible to be a completist with Guardians of the Galaxy merch. With the sheer mass of GOTG collectibles that have been released over the past several years, I’ve realized that goal is pretty unrealistic. But with Chris Pratt’s Star-Lord being my favorite character in the whole MCU, I’m all-in when it comes to Star-Lord toys. So when the Marvel Gallery Star-Lord Unmasked PVC statue started shipping last month, it was on its way to my home shortly thereafter. At 11″ tall and just 40 bucks, it’s a steal value-wish… but is this Chris Pratt figure actually any good…?
Continue Reading →While the biggest news this past week was Hasbro’s reveal of the final figure in the Captain Marvel Legends Series and the packaging for the wave, there were a couple other items of interest I want to backtrack and talk about. And one of them is the latest exclusive addition to the Mezco ONE:12 Collective Marvel 6” figure line: The ONE:12 Collective Cable X-Men variant is now up for order! (You didn’t think Mezco Toyz would let the chance for a popular X-Men costume variant get away, did you?)
