Hasbro has been on a roll this year revisiting fan-favorite characters that haven’t been done since the Toybiz days, and that trend continues with today’s review. Marvel Legends Hydro-Man seemed like a shoe-in to be a quick sellout online with his unique design and appearance in Spider-Man Far From Home, but he’s stuck around longer at MSRP longer than I would have predicted. Hasbro has been pretty on-the-ball with giving collectors pretty much every major Marvel Studios villain in 6” Marvel Legends form (sorry Malekith and Kaecillius—you don’t rate), so it wasn’t a big plot twist when they revealed we’d be getting a movie-based Marvel Legends Mysterio figure from Spider-Man Far From Home as well. Packed at just one-per-case, the new 2019 Marvel Legends Mysterio figure is already sold out on Amazon, still available for pre-order from other online retailers and likely to be a tough grab at retail. Is he worth all the fuss?

I generally try to practice what I preach with regards to placing pre-orders for limited edition items early before they sell out and explode price-wise on the aftermarket, but sometimes I get careless (or is it lazy?). Such was the case with the first character released in the Iron Studios Avengers Endgame 1:10 Statue line, who quickly sold out worldwide and is sharply escalating in value. I ended up paying 150 bucks shipped for my Iron Studios Nebula Statue on eBay… was she worth the inflated price I had to pay to secure one at all?
