Marvel Select Black Widow Age of Ultron Action Figure

For years, Marvel Cinematic Universe fans have been crying out for Diamond Select Toys to complete the core Avengers from the MCU in Marvel Select figure form. It took a full three years-plus from the release of the first Avengers movie, but that mission is now complete! Fans were dismayed when DST revealed that only one new character would be in the AOU lineup, but they made the right call and completed the team with that slot! The Marvel Select Black Widow movie figure is now available online for $24 shipped–should you complete your Avengers movie team with her?

Ant-Man Marvel Legends Giant-Man Review & Photos

Marvel Legends Ant-Man Giant-Man Review

From creating Ultron to smacking around his wife (The Wasp), there’s probably been more criticism aimed at poor ol’ Hank Pym over the years than any other member of the Avengers. But one of Hank Pym’s greatest failures came in recent years, when he allowed a bunch of the children he was responsible for at the Avengers Academy to be kidnapped and brutally murdered by Arcade (yes, Arcade). It’s unlikely that many Avengers Academy characters will ever see the light of day in plastic form, but now we can all commemorate this glorious era in Hank Pym’s life with the Marvel Legends Giant-Man figure available as part of the Ant-Man Legends Series!

Marvel Legends Ultron Prime Build-A-Figure Review

Marvel Legends Ultron Prime Build-A-Figure Review

If there’s a prize to be won for the most bizarre movie-themed Marvel Legends set ever, the Hasbro Marvel Legends Ant-Man Series definitely wins it. The set includes one movie figure of the titular character, five comic book-based characters related to Ant-Man in varying degrees, and a Build-A-Figure from a different movie altogether. Due to his starring antagonistic role in Avengers Age of Ultron, the Ultron Prime Marvel Legends figure is one of the more anticipated BAFs of 2015. The 8″ Marvel Legends Ultron Prime Build-A-Figure has now arrived… but is it worth buying $120 in other figures to build him?

Exclusive Marvel Titan Hero Iron Legion & Hawkeye Review

Marvel Titan Hero Iron Legion Figure Review

Sometimes there’s a huge intersection between what kids love and what hardcore collectors love… and sometimes there isn’t. While the Marvel Titan Hero line has saleswise been a spectacular success with the masses, the line hasn’t exactly been lovingly embraced by adult collectors. But last week I got a pair of more collector-oriented exclusive Titan Hero figures from Entertainment Earth, and this duo just may earn older collectors’ attention: it’s the Titan Hero Iron Legion & Ultimate Hawkeye figures!

DST Marvel Select Cable Figure 2015

Diamond Select Toys rarely lets us down with their top-quality releases, so every time I bust open a new Marvel Select action figure, I’m ready for it to be another grand slam. But sometimes it’s not a grand slam–sometimes, it’s more like a triple. Still something outstanding to get excited about, but not quite as jaw-dropping. That’s about how I feel about the Marvel Select Cable figure released this spring. You can still grab the Marvel Select Cable for below retail price and with free shipping online–but is this the right Cable action figure for you? Read on…

Marvel Select Avengers Age of Ultron Hulk Figure Review

Diamond Select Toys Marvel Select 2015 Hulk Figure 9"

When Diamond Select Toys announced the three figures making up the totality of their Avengers Age of Ultron Marvel Select lineup, the choices weren’t met with universal praise. In fact, many collectors turned their noses up entirely at the AOU Hulk and Thor figures. But now that the Avengers 2 Marvel Select Hulk figure I ordered online has arrived, it’s very clear to me that (redo or not) this is an outstanding (and humongous) movie Hulk action figure that utterly smashes every other AOU Hulk figure released thus far…

Marvel Infinite Series Black Cat & Miles Morales Figures

While the Hasbro Marvel Legends Infinite Series 3 3/4″ figures are back in 2015 for another year, the style and articulation level of new molds have undergone a drastic change going forward. This switch hasn’t exactly been met with open arms by collectors, but I decided to pick up the new Black Cat figure for review anyway.

Is she good? Sort of. Is the Marvel Infinite Series Black Cat worth buying for $13-$15…? Well…

2015 Marvel Legends Thanos Build-A-Figure Review

Although there are over 8,000 Marvel heroes and villains, less than 500 of them are characters that most people have ever heard of. And so, with hundreds of figures now released, there are very few major omissions left. And this year, perhaps the most prominent missing villain has finally arrived: Thanos!

Is it worth buying five of the Marvel Legends Avengers Wave 2 figures to build the Thanos Build-A-Figure…?

Funko Gamma Glow Hulk POP Vinyl Review & Photos

Funko Gamma Glow Hulk POP Vinyls Figure Review

While Funko has traditionally kept their comic book movie lines of POP Vinyl figures reasonably small, after the runaway success of last year’s Guardians of the Galaxy POP! Vinyls, Funko has started to think big! As such, even though the movie isn’t even out yet, Funko already has twelve Avengers Age of Ultron POP Vinyls figures either already in stores or on the way! Three of those figures are exclusive variants, and while the first exclusive I picked up is the Funko Gamma Glow Hulk POP Vinyl, I unfortunately can’t exactly give him a glowing review…

Marvel Legends Spider-Girl Review & Photos

If anyone had asked me to list off 100 characters I thought might get the Hasbro Marvel Legends treatment in 2015, May “Mayday” Parker would not have been on that list. But Hasbro has made some pleasantly surprising choices in 2015, and I sure am glad that they did!

The Spider-Man Marvel Legends Spider-Girl is now appearing in stores and shipping next week from Amazon–is she your worth your $20-$25? Read on…

Kotobukiya Jubilee Bishoujo Statue Review & Photos

When it comes to the Kotobukiya line of Bishoujo statues, I’m one of the harshest critics out there. As much as I love most of Kotobukiya’s offerings, I often find their Bishoujo statues (such as Starfire and Spider-Woman) to be posed both demeaning and objectifying. There’s a first time for everything, though, and tonight I’ll be raving about the Kotobukiya Jubilee Bishoujo statue. Bishoujo Jubilee is available now for 20% off and free shipping online–Should you buy her…? Does a mall babe eat chili fries?

Marvel Legends Radioactive Man Figure Review

Remember a couple weeks ago when I warned readers not to pay scalper prices for the Target Exclusive Marvel Legends Three-Pack, because eventually there would be plenty to go around? Yeah–that time is now.

I wasn’t planning to pick up the set until it hit clearance, but with a dozen sealed boxes in front of me, I couldn’t resist picking one up to review, starting with my favorite character in the set–Marvel Legends Radioactive Man…
