Marvel Legends Spider-Gwen Review and Photos

Congratulations to Gwen Stacy on becoming one of the most popular characters in the Marvel Universe after making a remarkable comeback from, well… being dead for 40+ years! Yeah, I know, Spider-Gwen is an alternate universe Gwen Stacy, but there’s no question she’s also the most popular version of the character ever. And now, Hasbro’s given her her first-ever 6″ figure: is the Marvel Legends Spider-Gwen figure worth the crazy $30+ she’s selling for online? Read on for my review…

Marvel Legends Absorbing Man Build-A-Figure Review

Marvel Legends Absorbing Man Build-A-Figure Review

Yesterday I kicked off my Marvel Legends 2016 reviews with the Living Vampire, Morbius. But while Morbius is the oldest Spider-Man villain on that list, he’s not the oldest villain overall. There’s another character who’s older and far more famous–and he just so happens to be the first Build-A-Figure of the year!

Morbius earned high marks in his review–can the Spider-Man Marvel Legends Absorbing Man Build-A-Figure do the same?

Marvel Legends Morbius Review Photos

2016 has barely arrived, but Hasbro is kicking off the new year right: with this year’s first wave of Spider-Man Marvel Legends 2016 figures already available online and beginning to show up in some retail stores! This is one of the best series of Legends ever, in my opinion, so I’m planning on reviewing every figure in the wave in due time. But where to begin? Well, how about with the most “classic” Spider-Man villain in the series: Morbius! Is this the definitive action figure of The Living Vampire…? Read on…

Funko Nemesis Punisher POP Vinyl Figure Review

It’s a brand new year, and that means it’s time for the annual Funko doomsayers to come out, likening POP Vinyls to Beanie Babies and prophesying their demise. But despite the haters, Funko keeps on trucking along, and today was the official release date for the first new Marvel POP Vinyls of 2016 to show up on shelves–including this new Funko Nemesis Punisher POP Vinyl figure that I picked up for review at Target! Punisher will never be a favorite character of mine, but I love me this new Punisher variant figure…

Hot Toys Heartbreaker Iron Man Figure Review & Photos

Hot Toys Heartbreaker Iron Man Review

While I talk an awful lot about Hot Toys Marvel figures on this blog (and I’m legitimately somewhat embarrassed about how much I spend on Hot Toys each year), I tend to not review many of the sixth scale figures I buy. why? Well, frankly, it’s almost tedious having to prattle on about toys that are virtually perfection. but seeing as how Sideshow Collectibles’ Black Friday sale has the Hot Toys Heartbreaker Iron Man available for 30% Off and free shipping with code “BF3015” this week, I figure now is a good time to gush about how amazing this figure is….

Hasbro Marvel Infinite Series 2015 Korg Review

Hasbro’s Marvel Universe (now Marvel Infinite Series) 4″ action figure line is famous for giving us hundreds of action figures from across the Marvel Universe, including numerous versions of iconic characters, beloved fan-favorites… and characters that 99.9% of the free world has never heard of. The subject of today’s review is of the latter group. He’s easily the most obscure character Hasbro has released this year, and you can buy him now for MSRP or below online–it’s the Marvel Infinite Series Korg figure!

Marvel Legends Rescue Figure Review

Yesterday I talked about the Funko Exclusive Black Widow with Shield figure that we had to wait a few months for after announcement, but that’s nothing compared to the wait for the subject of today’s review: Marvel Legends Rescue!

We had to wait almost two and a half years for this figure to arrive, and now Rescue is selling for a crazy $100+ on the aftermarket! But is this 6″ Marvel Legends Rescue figure really worth all the fuss? Read on…

Marvel Infinite Series Deadpool Figure Review & Photos

Marvel Infinite Series Deadpool Figure 2015

While it hasn’t exactly been getting the ludicrous amount of hype that other movies coming out in the near future (*cough* Star Wars *cough*) are, there’s a superhero movie hitting theaters in just over three months called “Deadpool”. And while there won’t be a plethora of Deadpool toys at mass retail when the movie does drop, Hasbro has lined up at least one new(-ish) figure for fans to chase after: the Marvel Infinite Series Deadpool figure mold is an oldie, but is it still a goodie…?

Marvel Infinite Series Juggernaut Colossus Review & Photos

Marvel Infinite Series Colossus Juggernaut Review

Over the weekend I posted my review of one of the three “make-good” figures included in the final wave of Hasbro Marvel Infinite Series 3 3/4″ figures: Emma Frost. I was mostly satisfied with that figure of the White Queen, but even so, one of the other Marvel Universe leftovers has stolen Emma’s thunder, in my opinion! I almost didn’t order the Marvel Infinite Series Juggernaut Colossus figure, as I wasn’t sure I needed a toy of this character. I was so, so wrong… this just may be my favorite 4″ Marvel figure of 2015!

Hasbro Marvel Infinite Series Emma Frost Figure Review

As soon as Hasbro confirmed the lineup for the final wave of Marvel Infinite Series 3 3/4″ figures, I instantly knew which character fans were going to be salivating for most.

Though she was scrapped at the tail end of the Marvel Universe line, she made it in just in time for the end of this one! She’s already selling around $20 online, but is this Marvel Infinite Series Emma Frost 4″ figure a diamond like its namesake can turn into…?

Marvel Infinite Series Chameleon 4″ Figure Review & Photos

Marvel Infinite Series Chameleon Review

One of the surprise “hot” Hasbro figures of 2015 has been the 6″ Marvel Legends Chameleon figure from the second Spider-Man wave of the year. Given how well-received by collectors and difficult to find in stores that figure is, I had high expectations for the Marvel Infinite Series Chameleon 4″ figure and immediately bust it open when I received my 2015 Marvel Infinite Series Wave 3 set from EE. Unfortunately, despite how “right” the Marvel Legends version was, this Chameleon figure is a bit of a dud in comparison…

Marvel Legends Avengers Hulk Buster Iron Man Figure

I’ve been doing an awful lot of talking about Hulk toys this week, so I think maybe it’s time to switch gears and do some Hulk-busting!

The most talked-about and in-demand Hasbro Marvel Legends figure of the year is the Hulkbuster Iron Man Build-A-Figure. You have to buy all seven Marvel Legends Avengers Wave 3 figures to build him, but is the Marvel Legends Hulkbuster Iron Man worth it…? In two words: “Awwwww. Yeah.”

Marvel Legends White Tiger Review & Photos (Rhino Series)

Marvel Legends White Tiger Review & Photos

The Spider-Man Marvel Legends Rhino Series is one of my favorite Hasbro Marvel Legends 6″ series ever, as it’s filling in character gaps both vital (Ben Reilly Scarlet Spider, Chameleon) and ridiculously obscure. Last time I talked about the almost-perfect Misty Knight figure, but she’s not the only female in this wave! The Marvel Legends White Tiger figure is also now available for order, and while she may not be a mainstream icon, she is a pretty stellar action figure…

Marvel Legends Misty Knight Eyes Cross-Eyed

At New York Toy Fair 2015 in February, I came to the realization that the Hasbro Marvel Legends brand is now nearly as strong as Star Wars was a decade before, now being able to feasibly produce and sell through the most obscure of characters.

And the character that made my have that epiphany is the subject of tonight’s review: Marvel Legends Misty Knight is now available for below retail cost online–should you add her to your collection?

Marvel Legends Doctor Strange Review 2015

Last time I reviewed a Marvel Legends Hulkbuster Series figure, I focused on a comics-based version of a character newly-introduced to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

But while the Vision is all shiny and new to the MCU this year, next year the MCU is gonna get a lot more… strange! The 2015 Marvel Legends Doctor Strange figure is now available for order online–but is he as worthy of your dollars as the excellent Vision figure was? Read on for my review…
