Funko didn’t get quite as much money from Marvel POP! Vinyls collectors at San Diego Comic-Con 2014 as they would have liked (what with the awesome Flocked Rocket Raccoon POP Vinyl being the only SDCC 2014 Marvel POP Vinyls exclusive), but they’re making up for missed chances (and dollars!) with the fall 2014 convention circuit. A few weeks back the NYCC 2014 Funko Frost Giant Loki POP Vinyls debuted, and now the Comikaze 2014 exclusives have been announced: Funko POP Vinyls Glow-in-the-Dark Storm and Unmasked Captain America!

Last year was the inaugural year for a little con in Los Angeles, and it was so wildly successful that now Stan Lee’s Comikaze Expo 2014 is back again next month! Running from October 31-November 2, 2014, the 2014 Comikaze Expo is looking to lure Funko fans back again with a pair of Funko POP! Vinyls exclusives that will (allegedly) only be available at the Comikaze Expo.

[I say “allegedly” because last year’s Comikaze “exclusive” Peter Parker Funko POP! Vinyl figure showed up at Hot Topic stores (sans Comikaze sticker) following the event, which greatly diminished the exclusivity and value of the Funko Peter Parker (although it does still sell for a healthy $30-$50 regularly.)]

The Funko Glow-in-the-Dark Storm and Unmasked Captain America POP! Vinyls figures will be available at both the Hot Topic Booth and the Official Comikaze merchandising booth at the Comikaze 2014 Expo. Both figures will retail for $15.99 each, which is obviously a premium over the cost of a normal Funko POP! Vinyl, but not a terrible price for a limited convention exclusive figure.

Quantities of both figures are being allocated for each day of the event, so even if you only attend Comikaze Expo 2014 for one day, you should theoretically still be able to get the Funko Unmasked Captain America and Glow-in-the-Dark Storm POP Vinyls without a problem.

This pair of 2014 Comikaze exclusive Funko POP Vinyl figures is supposedly not expected to be released in retail stores following the event, but if they should happen to show up at local Hot Topic stores, I’ll post an update to the Marvel Toy News Facebook Page once they appear.
