If there’s a real tragedy about this summer’s X-Men Days of Future Past movie (besides the absurd lack of merch released for the film), it’s that we never really got to see Future Wolverine in action in his stylish future costume. But thanks to the considerate folks over at Hot Toys, soon we’ll all be able to make Wolverine fight to our hearts’ content in his future attire: the Hot Toys X-Men Days of Future Past Wolverine Sixth Scale Figure is now up for order!

At this point, we all know the real reason that there was such a dearth of X-Men: Days of Future Past collectibles released, so I’m not going to harp on about how much I want Hot Toys Magneto, Xavier and Mystique figures. They’re likely not coming–ever–and we just have to live with that (painful as the prospect of never having a Fassbender Magneto Hot Toys figure may be).

Instead, I want to celebrate the fact that we are getting one X-Men Days of Future Past Hot Toys figure: Wolverine! Yes, I know–it’s another Hot Toys Wolverine. But despite the fact that we’ve had one or two (or three) Wolverine Hot Toys 1/6th figures before, this one’s got a clear advantage over all the others: the best Hugh Jackman head sculpt ever.

Sculptor Clare Yoo did a bang-up job on the Wolverine portrait for this Hot Toys Wolverine 1/6 figure, crafting the most spot-on Hugh Jackman Wolverine head sculpt I’ve ever seen.

The one thing about the Hot Toys MMS264 Days of Future Past Wolverine sixth scale figure that’s underwhelming is the sparse selection of accessories. You get your Hot Toys DOFP Wolverine figure with three pairs of interchangeable hands (fists, relaxed palms and claws out)… and that’s it. There will also be a figure stand included (since Hot Toys always includes a figure stand), but oddly enough, it’s not shown in the official photos for MMS 264 Wolverine. Weird.

While it is a bit of a downer to see X-Men Days of Future Past Wolverine not come with any extra goodies, I’m not really sure what else Hot Toys would have packed out with him. Other than smoking a cigar and laying down, we don’t really see this version of Wolverine do much of anything in the movie, and the chances of Disney approving this figure coming with a stogie were literally zero. So I guess this small smattering of accessories is acceptable, if not a mite underwhelming.

The X-Men Days of Future Past Hot Toys Wolverine sixth scale figure is now up for order, and is expected to ship out in Q2-Q3 2015. With this Future Wolverine figure having so few accessories and nothing especially complicated like the various Iron Man armors, I wouldn’t be at all surprised to see it actually get moved forward in the release schedule to early spring later on down the pike.
