Happy Spider-Man PS4 Day! Perhaps the most-anticipated video game of the year without “Smash Bros.” in the title, the long-awaited PS4 Spider-Man video game is finally hitting store shelves today. And while they’ve traditionally focused on Marvel movie figures, Hot Toys isn’t about to let this milestone go un-celebrated for sixth scale figure fans: the Spider-Man Hot Toys Spider-Punk figure is now up for order! You will believe Spidey can have a Mohawk made of spikes, wear denim and play the guitar!

Last night I posted my Spider-Man Collector’s Edition Review, which focused primarily on the Spidey PVC statue that ultimately ended up disappointing me with its quality and design.

Luckily, today we’ve got a new item solicited that I have zero concerns regarding the quality or design of, because it’s one of the most unique figures ever from the #1 most high-quality figure-maker in the world: Hot Toys is expanding their GamerVerse Spider-Man PS4 series of 1/6 figures with a wonderfully wacky and fun Spider-Punk 12″ figure!

Spider-Punk is one of the craziest re-imaginings of Spidey ever, and I’m delighted to see all of the love that he’s getting in 2018, with his first Marvel Legends figure released by Hasbro earlier this year, his first video game appearance in the Playstation 4 Spider-Man game, and even an upcoming appearance in the Into the Spider-Verse animated movie.

But of all the Spider-Punk happenings in 2018, there’s none that has me more psyched than the Hot Toys Spider-Punk Spider-Man MMS figure! Very fairly priced at $235 in the United States, this legit may be my favorite thing that we’ve seen from Hot Toys all year long!

This is a Hot Toys figure, so we know that the costume and quality of this figure are going to be off the charts. But what makes this figure unique is the incredible novelty value of having the opportunity to own a high-end action figure of Spider-Man wearing sneakers (with Spidey logos on them), a studden belt, a denim jacket with buttons it, blue jean-like spandex pants and a spiked mask–wielding a design with a web motif on it. This is just the best.
