Marvel Legends Ant-Man Series Revealed? Bulldozer! Wasp!

Earlier this week I discussed the probably-not-a-Barnes-and-Noble-exclusive Marvel Legends Avengers Dr. Strange series–but that’s not the only new Hasbro Marvel Legends 2015 series to emerge in rumors and whispers this week! A potential Marvel Legends Ant-Man series has now been leaked on Amazon, including long-lost figures like Tigershark and BULLDOZER!

Marvel Legends Bulldozer of The Wrecking Crew Figure 2013 Wave 5

The way that Hasbro was talking about the immensely-demanded Marvel Legends Bulldozer figure last year made it sound to me like he was a shoe-in for inclusion in the 6″ Marvel Legends Avengers Infinite Series figure lineup for 2015. Except that, well… Bulldozer ended up not being in the first two series at all.

I was still fairly positive that the Marvel Legends Wrecking Crew would be complete in 2015, and if the leaked list of Ant-Man Marvel Legends 2015 figures found online is true–it will be!

The six Ant-Man Legends figures discovered in the Amazon database are as follows:

  • Avengers Ant Man Marvel Legends Ant Man Action Figure
  • Avengers Ant Man Marvel Legends Wasp Action Figure
  • Avengers Ant Man Marvel Legends Giant Man Action Figure
  • Avengers Ant Man Marvel Legends Tigershark Action Figure
  • Avengers Ant Man Marvel Legends Bulldozer Action Figure
  • Avengers Ant Man Marvel Legends Grim Reaper Action Figure

Ant-Man Legends Figures Listing on Amazon WebsiteConsidering that this listing was put into the Amazon database by Amazon itself as an official listing and not by a third-party seller makes me confident that this is in fact an authentic Marvel Legends Ant-Man figures series lineup–or at the very least, a lineup that was in development at one time and thus sent over to Amazon as preliminary official information.

Hasbro was very happy with the Amazon Marvel Legends Guardians of the Galaxy figures pre-sale last year, so I wouldn’t be surprised to see them given the go-ahead to pre-sell the Marvel Legends Ant-Man series before other retailers this year as well.

Looking at this series, we have a new Marvel Legends Ant-Man figure as an anchor (presumably in his movie costume), a (likely comic-based) new Marvel Legends Wasp figure, long-delayed figures of Marvel Legends Bulldozer and Tigershark, and new figures of Grim Reaper and Giant-Man to round out the series.

Marvel legends 2013 Series 3 Tigershark San Diego Comic Con 2013I know some folks think that a 6″ Giant-Man Marvel Legends figure sounds fishy, but Hank Pym isn’t always super-sized when in costume. It’s also possible that there could be a Marvel Legends Giant Man Build-A-Figure in the same wave as a 6″ Giant-Man, although I can’t remember any percent for an occurrence like that in Marvel Legends ever.

You can see the listings for the Marvel Legends Avengers Ant-Man Series online here, although the figures are not yet available for order. And with an estimated delivery date of July 2015, they probably won’t be up for order until spring (presuming that this lineup is, in fact, true).

How would you feel about this series of Hasbro Marvel Legends Ant-Man 6″ figures, Marvel collectors? Is this a series that would get you excited, or is it too full of ‘B’-List characters to really get your blood pumping?

    • Y’know, considering I spent hours out today looking for that wave, you would think I would have thought of King Thor. Thanks, Scarecrow!

  1. God I hope it’s a comic antman and not that god awful movie version, plus movie figures are stupid, and hasbro does them shitty anyway.

  2. I hope it’s the movie version you know far and way the best ant-man design in his history.

  3. Ant-man and Yellow Jackets movie looks are cooler and superior and if I had to bet which would sell more has a manufacture I’m rolling with the movie version and it’s unlikely you’d even be getting a movie ant-man series without the movie.

  4. I’m oping this lineup is true, however I have to state it sounds sketchy. None of the villains are “Ant-Man bad guys”. Now THAT’s something ML has never done before! Don’t get me wrong! An opportunity to finally get Bully and Tig is awesome. And a Grim Reaper figure?! Oh Yes! It just isn’t consistent with how themed waves have come out.

  5. I hope this wave is accurate!! Those three Villans might not be specific to Antman but they are Avengers Villans and that’s good enough for me. Besides Hasbro has been doing a good job getting the “lost figures” out there. Cmon Blade, Moonstone and first appearance Storm!!

    • Uhm, Moonstone came out (albeit in an SDCC exclusive). It was her new body mold that’s set the stage for all of these later female figures. I’m going to assume you meant MoonSTAR, in which I wholeheartedly agree! Plus, wouldn’t those, along with Lyra (Savage She-Hulk) be all that’s left?

  7. If you want to get technical, Tiger Shark was a part of the 1980s Masters of Evil that Hank Pym defeated single-handed with science, not superheroics, as part of his redemption at that time (AV vol 1, #230) Grim Reaper in his debut (AV vol 1, # 52, Masterworks vol 7) especially wanted to kill Hank and Jan,not so much Hawkeye–those three were the only Avengers at the time! Anyway, I hope this is true because it sounds great–I agree there could be a BAF Giant-Man and “normal-sized” one as well. Which Wasp costume would she be in?

    • Well said,Mr.Smith. thank you for filling in the details,Wayne. My logic is often a response of that every adventurer in the Marvel Universes is an Avenger an ally or an enemy to the Avengers. This means as a founding member of said team,Hank’s character is enemy to many many marvel bad guys. I appreciate the encylopeida google library-like references.
I knew I read those stories. Just couldn’t figure where(no pun intended)

  8. Consider this as well–if Hasbro repeats Giant-Man as a BAF after Toybiz did that character as a BAF years ago, would that not be unprecedented to have duplicate BAFs of the same character? Certainly it would be fr Marvel figures. Would a new one bring down the cost of the old one on eBay? (I have mine.)
