Marvel Legends Punisher War Machine Figure Up for Order Online!

UPDATE 10/2/2019: As expected, the Marvel Legends Punisher War Machine is now up for order online, as it turns out that he’s a regular Fan Channel Exclusive and not a Gamestop exclusive as some fans had speculated for whatever reason. Hopefully none of you fed the scalpers, because now you can buy this War Machine Punisher figure online all day long for MSRP!

ORIGINAL 9/27/19: New York Comic Con 2019 is just a few days away now, but there’s one NYCC 2019 Marvel Legends reveal that apparently just couldn’t wait for the show to be announced! Despite the fact that Hasbro has yet to acknowledge that this figure is even in the works at all, a Marvel Legends Punisher War Machine figure has now begun appearing at some GameStop stores—and quickly making the jump to eBay, where scalpers are making an early bounty on the figure! And War Machine Punisher isn’t the only new ML starting to show up…

Marvel Legends Punisher War Machine Packaged

There have been SO many 80th Anniversary Marvel Legends exclusive variants this year then when the first couple photos started being posted earlier this week of a War Machine Punisher Legends Figure being found at GameStop, I honest to God thought it was a figure that I’d already known about that had been up for sale since summer.

But whoops! Turns out that not only has this armored Frank Castle figure not been previously put up for order—Hasbro has never even announced him yet at all! But nonetheless, GameStop stores have started receiving limited numbers of this Marvel Legends Punisher War Machine figure and aren’t date-locked out from selling the figure to customers!

Obviously this figure is a reuse of a lot of existing tooling and not something all-new, but it’s a very neat variant of a modern iteration of Frank Castle prominently featured following the end of Secret Empire. What with the ML Life-Size Replica helmet of this character being announced months ago, we really all should have seen this coming from a mile away…!

War Machine Punisher Marvel Legends UPC

For those wanting the UPC of this figure to feed to the employees of all your local Gamestop stores over the phone to most efficiently comb your area, the UPC barcode is shown above, and the number is: (82) 197989 09262019

I wouldn’t have expected this figure to be ultra-hot on the aftermarket, but surprisingly it’s already selling for $40+. Hang in there, collectors—I suspect there will be an ample supply of these once it’s officially revealed at NYCC 2019 next week!

Marvel Legends Stealth Iron Man Punisher War Machine Agent Anti-Venom Released

Meanwhile, at least six other Marvel Legends 80th Anniversary Fan Channel Exclusives are also beginning to appear: Cowboy Wolverine, Big-Time Spider-Man, Agent Anti-Venom, Facepaint Punisher, Stealth Iron Man and Civil War Giant-Man!

80th Anniversary Marvel Legends Big-Time Spider-Man Figure Released in Box

All of those figures have been previously announced and are readily available for pre-order online, so there’s much less hoopla about them finally shipping out, but for those who’ve been waiting—here they come! These are all Fan Channel Exclusives, so while they won’t be appearing at your local Target or Walmart store, you can still order them from online specialty stores or try your luck with your local Gamestop store.

Have you found this surprise release Marvel Legends 80th Anniversary War Machine Punisher in your area, Marvel collectors? What about any of these other freshly-shipping exclusives? And now that we know Hasbro had at least one ace left up their sleeve, do you think they might be hiding any more 80th Anniversary ML figures that they’ll be revealing at New York Comic Con 2019 next week?

Marvel Legends Punisher War Machine Figure Up for Order Online! — 12 Comments

  1. This looks like a trick. Hasbro made a whole wave of figure that are all repaints, with no BAF, that they are selling for more than regular retail.

I’m pretty sure that the Marvel Studios/80 Years line in the square boxes is done for. I’ve avoided buying them because they are too expensive and they always end up on clearance. I got the MCU Ultron for $7.99 and Wal-Mart even had the Tony Stark/Mark I set for five bucks.

The retro line is another one that isn’t going to last. The BAF pieces are more important than they realized because all you have to do is wait for them to come up on clearance.

    • These aren’t really selling for more than normal retail by themselves, that’s just Gamestop’s normal price for Marvel Legends. Plus, they’re not a wave, they’re individually-packed exclusives.

      • Are these Gamestop exclusives or Fan Channel exclusives? Just wondering if these will show up on amazon at some point, in which case i would expect them to be priced normally

        • There are preorders for the Stealth suit for 19.99 on Amazon already. I don’t think even Hasbro knows what “Fan-Channel Exclusive” means. I am preordering from various locations but if I see them go up for cheap on Amazon, idm waiting to save 10+ dollars between the lower starting price and free shipping. Patience is a virtue 9 out of 10 times when it comes to figures. It only backfires when the figure becomes a super hot seller right out of the gate and/or doesn’t come thru the main pipeline of distributors.

      • It’s seven figures (there’s also Deathlok) that came out at the same time, plus the former BAF. This is a stealth wave, of just repaints. It’s just that it is excessive. I can’t shell out more money every time a figure gets a new hat. If any of them make it to the big stores, they will be on clearance for sure.

        • just wondering, why do you feel obligated to shell out for these? there’s no BAF piece so it seems like it would be pretty easy to skip any of these you’re not interested in, especially since as of right now, you’d have to shell out for the Gamestop markup.

Spidey, Wolverine, Iron Man, and Punisher are debatably marvel’s most popular “regular size” characters so its not particularly surprising that they would be chosen for exclusives. Since they are fan channel seems like it may be awhile before any of them make into into big box stores, if ever.

Don’t have much interest in any of these personally, the punisher with painted face is probably most appealing to me but i’ll wait and see if there still around during a sale.

        • Dude. I don’t buy the full wave of BAFs. I broke THAT chain a long time ago. I just get what I LIKE and leave the rest on the shelf in the stores.
Again, WE do NOT have to buy/have every toy HASBRO sells. Fan channel is excellent marketing and good opportunity for hard-core fans to get extra merchandise that big commercial markets like Wal-Mart&Target can’t afford using thier retail space to sell to a few niche fan/collectors like us.
Cowboy Logan, Vintage Iceman, Cyclops, Scarlet Spider, BlackPanther, Antman, Capt America, Ironman, Spider-Man,and Punisher were ALL a pass for me. I will get camoface paint Punisher, and I’d rather have the Hot Toy of Punisher WarMachine! Imho. Happy collecting and toy joy to you.
          😎
          Shalom

  2. You know that’s not actually the UPC, right?
    Lol
Not sure what the 82 is, but the next numbers are the gamestop item number(give them that one) and the date it was tagged.
The sctual UPC is one of their new ones that starts with 501099××××××.

  3. I will probably pick these up but not at the scalpers price I’ll try to find them at gamestop at regular price.

    • Update I now have all of these repaints except for the Punisher war machine and I got them all alot cheaper than the regular price thanks to a friend at gamestop.
