At this point, Mezco Toyz has serviced most Wolverine fans. Whether you’re a fan of Wolverine in his Tiger Stripe, Brown or X-Force costumes—or even if you prefer Old Man Logan—there’s a ONE:12 Collective Wolverine for you. But for those fans who like Wolverine out of costume and not, well… old… Mezco has one more flavor left in store for you: the Mezco ONE:12 Collective Logan figure is now up for order!
And so, it only makes sense that after giving us a ONE:12 Collective Old Man Logan, Mezco goes ahead and gives us the not-old version as well! Is this Logan all he’s cracked up to be? Let’s take a look…
As far as civilian outfits for Wolverine go, I think that Mezco definitely made the right (and appropriate) choice with the clothing selection for this action figure. The cowboy hat, white tank top and brown leather-like jacket are about as iconic of clothes as you can get for Logan, and Mezco has tailored them all beautifully.
While we don’t get a ton of accessories with this particular figure, we do get the very best kind: interchangeable heads! Not only do we get closed-mouth and teeth-bared heads, but there’s even a Patch Wolverine head included! That’s a big surprise as far as inclusions go, and it makes me really want a 1:12 scale white tuxedo to stick this figure into!
Along with the heads, we also get a dog tag to stick around Logan’s neck, and six interchangeable hands (fists, open hands and hands with claws extended). These are the three types of hands you’d want for Wolverine, so no complaints here.
In fact, I really don’t have much to gripe about with this figure at all. I don’t like that snarling, teeth-bared head sculpt much, but the other two heads make up for it. And while a cigar accessory would have been cool to have, Disney/Marvel licensing would never approve that these days.
Other than being a bit plain (which you might reasonably expect from a civilian-attired superhero), there’s really nothing else wrong with this figure. Good work, Mezco.
The Mezco Logan ONE:12 Collective figure is now up for order, and is scheduled to be released in November 2018. Mezco Toyz can be more than a little slow with releasing new characters, but since they’ve been working on their series of Wolverines for close to a year and a half now, I wouldn’t be surprised if this Logan variant actually arrives on time (or somewhat close to it). EE has Logan at the mandated price of $80 even, but is also offering free shipping on him, which makes theirs the closest price to a “deal” around.
Is the fifth time the charm, ONE:12 Collective collectors? Is this a Wolverine variant that you’ve been waiting for, or are you ready for Mezco Toyz to move on to some different Marvel characters?
