I saw tons of fresh and exciting upcoming Marvel collectibles at New York Toy Fair 2015 last month, but the single biggest disappointment for me was what wasn’t at the show: the Kotobukiya X-Men ARTFX+ statues quietly announced at NYCC 2014.

Ever since toy manufacturers began revealing the lineups for their Avengers: Age of Ultron toys, collectors have been complaining about the lack of Scarlet Witch, Vision and Quicksilver figures. We’re getting LEGO and Minimates versions of all three, as well as comics-based Marvel Legends Vision and Scarlet Witch figures. Quicksilver has really gotten the bum’s rush, however. But now you can rejoice, collectors–because Hasbro has finally released the Quicksilver action figure we’ve all been waiting for: the Titan Hero Quicksilver figure has now been released!

Sideshow Collectibles must have decided that today was a slow day and it needed shaking up, because Sideshow hit up collectors today with a huge surprise: an in-stock and ready-to-ship, totally unannounced, exclusive White Black Widow Premium Format Figure stature variant–limited to just 200 pieces produced! While it’s not the most limited Marvel Premium Format statue ever released, it’s certainly among the shortest runs. Last month, Hot Toys debuted an all-new range of super-deformed bobble-head figures called the Artist Mix Collection. Seeing as how these figures utilize a very similar size and are all super-deformed bobble figures, I assumed that we’d be getting the Avengers Age of Ultron Artist Mix Series instead of an Avengers Age of Ultron Cosbaby line. I assumed wrong. Last week, Hot Toys showed off the first six Avengers Cosbabies, and now they’ve followed up by revealing Series 1.5 and Series 2–including Cosbaby Vision, Black Widow and Hulkbuster Iron Man!

It was a week ago today that Hasbro allowed online retailers to start taking pre-orders for the Marvel Legends Avengers Wave 2 Thanos Series of action figures. Because of the case-pack ratios (where four of the six figures are packed at one-per-case), the vast majority of stores are only selling full cases (or complete sets at a markup) of the Avengers Legends Wave 2 figures. As it turns out, there really are six core members of the Avengers team in Avengers: Age of Ultron. When toy companies started unveiling their Avengers Age of Ultron toys and there were few Black Widow figures to be found, there was an outcry for more Black Widow merch. Well, Hasbro announced a new Marvel Legends Black Widow and the Marvel Select Black Widow figure debuted at the 2015 New York Toy Fair, and that left only one gaping omission… which has now been filled. All good things must come to an end, and I’ll be wrapping up the Marvel toys portion of my New York Toy Fair 2015 coverage over the next day or two. Someone, somewhere, started the unsubstantiated rumor that Hot Toys would never make another 1/6 Hulk figure after the original Avengers movie version. I don’t know why, but that stigma stuck and spread, so a lot of collectors really thought that there wouldn’t be a Hot Toys Avengers Age of Ultron Hulk figure released. But surprise–! Not only is Hot Toys releasing a new AOU Hulk–they’ve got a second version in a Hot Toys Hulk Deluxe Set available for order as well!
