You just know it’s a true golden age of Marvel action figures when Hasbro feels confident enough to bring out a new version of one of Toybiz’s biggest duds of all-time. The Spider-Man The Animated Series Spider-Armor figure languished unloved on store shelves for years and years in the 90s, which is likely why it’s never been upgraded to a 6” figure. Carol Danvers’ popularity has had its ups and downs since her live-action MCU movie came out in 2019, with some fans quickly burning out on the character due to the copious amounts of merch suddenly available for her. I really, really hate zombies. I think they’re ugly and gross and all-around unpleasant to look at or think about. But something about “Paragon of Good” Captain America as a gruesome, flesh-eating, corpse-colored zombie holds a certain juxtapositional appeal, even to me. And so, I had little doubt in my mind that the Marvel Legends Zombie Captain America figure would be a top seller, regardless of how the What If? show was ultimately received.
