Everywhere I see a news article on Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD TV series posted online, I immediately see a whole armada of people spewing hatred about the show and how much they hate it. After over half a year of speculation (and quite a few doubts) about the Hot Toys Die-Cast Movie Masterpiece Series figures, the first of the three Iron Man 3 Hot Toys Die-Cast figures has been released in Hong Kong (and will ship from Sideshow next week in the United States)! If there’s one Marvel licensee out there that doesn’t get the buzz and notoriety it deserves lately, it’s Bowen Designs. While Bowen was the pioneer of the Marvel mini-busts sensation and one of the first companies to mass produce Marvel statues, its star has fallen a bit over the past few years as new companies like Sideshow and Gentle Giant have begun hogging the limelight. I want to make a concentrated effort to shift some focus back on Bowen, and I’ll begin by looking at their latest-released statue: the Bowen Designs Human Torch statue… limited to just 500 pieces produced!

Well, it seems that the months of sadness and grieving surrounding the name change of Hasbro’s “Marvel Universe” line to “Avengers Infinite Series” may have been premature… sort of. Hasbro sent out the first hi-res packaged photos today of the upcoming Avengers Infinite Series 1 figures, and as it turns out, the line isn’t called that at all! (What?)
Apparently the line is going to be called “Marvel Infinite Series”. But whatever the line is called, the packaged images make it clear that that the figures are going to be pretty outstanding!

Sometimes Diamond Select Toys is very successful at keeping a secret, and sometimes they’re foiled by their own packaging materials! Though the Disney Store exclusive Marvel Select Superior Spider-Man figure was meant to be kept top-secret until Disney was ready to announce it, a photo of the figure was in the pamphlet that came with the most recent Marvel Select action figures. But even though the surprise was ruined, I’m still enthusiastic about this figure. The Marvel Select Superior Spider-Man figure is now officially announced and available for order!

We’ve known since long before Thor: The Dark World came out in theaters last fall that Thor and Loki were the toy characters from the film that Hot Toys had in the works, so it’s tough to feign surprise now that the 1/6 Thor The Dark World Hot Toys Loki Figure has finally been officially announced. Diamond Select Toys confirmed last week that an Amazing Spider-Man 2 Marvel Select Figure was on the way, and this week they’ve released their first photos of the upcoming Marvel Select Amazing Spider-Man 2 action figure!

Earlier this month we saw leaked photos of an unconfirmed Marvel Legends All-New X-Men set turn up on the internet. At the time, it was speculated that those figures would be the SDCC 2014 Marvel Legends exclusive set. I started off my Captain America Marvel Legends 2014 reviews last week with Baron Zemo, Captain America’s greatest enemy (that’s my story and I’m sticking to it).
