One of my favorite booths to visit that I can count on to be at virtually every event that I attend is Diamond Select Toys. This year’s New York Toy Fair 2020 was no exception! Even though there were no new Marvel Select figures shown (aside from the PS4 Spider-Man packaging), DST brought the big game with so many Marvel Gallery figures that will be up for pre-order this year, I can’t fit them all in one article! So I’ll split it in two, and start by looking at the new Marvel Gallery VS statue PVCs, including Wasp, Vision, Wolverine, classic Iron Man and more…

While leaked retailer listings and images took some of the luster out of Hasbro’s big Toy Fair 2020 reveals, Hasbro has now officially unveiled this year’s Marvel Legends Avengers series—and it’s also up for order online now! Individual pre-order links for each of the figures below:

But one of those neglected figures won’t be Beta Ray Bill! By special request from MTN followers on social media, I dug out Thor’s hammer-brother and gave him a second look! Marvel Legends Beta Ray Bill is available discounted online now–should you be giving him another look as well?

They debuted at NYCC 2019 last month, and the Marvel Premier Collection Vision statue and Skottie Young Deadpool Animated statue are now up for order!
Continue Reading →While the biggest headline news of this last week of October 2019 is unquestionably the arrival of easy pre-orders for the first pair of Hasbro Marvel Legends 2020 figures, that doesn’t mean that other companies have been quietly idling! Sideshow in particular has been active this week with their Sideshow Spooktacular event, where they launched LE 150 Shadowland Daredevil and X-Force Psylocke statues that each sold out in an hour or so, and also launched a statue many have been waiting for: the Avengers Assemble Sideshow Exclusive Black Widow statue is now up for order!
Continue Reading →We’re only one week removed from New York Comic Con 2019, but Hasbro is already back at it again with another Marvel Legends 2020 figure reveal! Given the popularity of the PS4 Spider-Man Gamerverse figure from last year, this shouldn’t have caught me off-guard—but it did! 2020 Marvel Legends Avengers Square Enix video game figures are on the way—starting with GamerVerse Iron Man!

They’ve been going strong with the line since, with no signs of slowing down. And at SDCC 2019, they debuted their next four entries: ARTFX Premier Loki, Black Panther, Black Widow and… Cosmic Ghost Rider!?

Following in the footsteps of the hot-selling Iron Man Mark III Statue from 2017, their next movie armor is (literally) flying onto the scene: the 21″ Sideshow Iron Man Mark VII Maquette is now up for order! And while the pose may not be everyone’s jam, those light-up features are out of this world…

They unveiled their new high-end line of plastic 1:10 Marvel ARTFX Premier statues at New York Toy Fair, but collector response has been lukewarm thus far. Can today’s solicitation of the 5th piece in the line buck the trend? The Kotobukiya She-Hulk ARTFX Premier Statue is now up for order!

Happy Avengers Endgame Day! Fans aren’t the only ones rejoicing that the movie has finally arrived, as we can expect merchandisers to roll out a steady stream of new toys for the movie over the next few weeks. And Hot Toys has saved two of their most-anticipated updated characters to launch today: the Hot Toys Endgame Captain America and Black Widow 1:6 figures are now up for order! Is it worth tossing your old versions in a box in favor of these new ones?
Continue Reading →With five days until the Avengers Endgame movie hits theaters, I’m continuing on with my look at the first wave of 2019 Marvel Legends Avengers series figures! Last time, I reviewed an obscure character in Citizen V who Hasbro pretty much perfectly in toy form. Going back to the obscurity well, today I’m going to review the Avengers Endgame Legends Living Laser figure collectors will need to buy in order to build Armored Thanos. ML Living Laser certainly looks unique—but is he actually a good toy?
Continue Reading →Kotobukiya took the ARTFX+ collecting world by surprise at New York Toy Fair 2019, where they announced a new line of high-end ARTFX Premier statues with extensive detailing in their tried-and-true classic 1:10 scale format. Captain America, Thor and Iron Man quickly launched for POs after Toy Fair, and now it’s time for the last of the four pieces that debuted there: the Kotobukiya Immortal Hulk ARTFX Premier Statue is now up for order! But even with premium details, is a 7” PVC statue worth $200…?
Continue Reading →“Justice, Like Lightning…!” If those words don’t mean anything to you, then you’re probably in the majority of collectors who are scratching their heads at this release from the first wave of Avengers Legends 2010 figures. Whether you know him or not, you’ll need to buy the Marvel Legends Citizen V figure if you want his Armored Thanos Build-A-Figure piece—but is the original Thunderbolts leader a worthwhile figure in its own right?
Continue Reading →While the Armored Thanos Series is technically the first Avengers Endgame Marvel Legends wave of Hasbro action figures, there’s not a whole lot going on so far as characters actually from the movie go. In fact, there’s just two single-packed figures from Endgame in the wave: Captain America and the subject of today’s review. Hawkeye’s absence was keenly felt in Infinity War, but now he’s back with an all-new persona: should you add the Marvel Legends Ronin figure to your collection? Here’s my review…
