I was away at Emerald City Comic Con 2019 all last week, but luckily I didn’t miss much, as it’s been ridiculously quiet on the Marvel toy news front. In fact, you could probably see a tumbleweed blow past while the many toy companies out there wait for the okay to reveal their onslaught of Avengers Endgame collectibles. But while there’s still nothing new to report, we’ve got a real blast from the past appearing online: a half dozen-plus previously sold-out Exclusive Marvel Select figures have popped up online–at clearance prices!

One of the primary things I’ve been looking forward to seeing at the 2019 Toy Fair is the new line of ARTFX Premier Statues that Kotobukiya surprise-announced with a teaser image of Captain America and Thor earlier this week. Earlier this year, rumors began swirling regarding an all-new unannounced series of Hasbro Marvel 80th Anniversary Marvel Legends Figures. I don’t like to comment on leaked news—especially with Toy Fair coming up fast—so I haven’t talked about those rumors up until now. But today, things changed—because they’re rumors no more! As announced during the Hasbro Investor Preview Event today, the new 80th Anniversary Marvel Legends figures series will be revealed at New York Toy Fair 2019 this weekend!

New York Toy Fair 2019 begins in under a week, but before I’m in NYC to check out and report on the armada of new Marvel figures and collectibles being featured there, I want to backtrack and check out some recent solicitations I haven’t touched on yet—including the final two additions to the Kotobukiya Avengers ARTFX+ Series! While the line has lost some steam due to increased prices and competition, I think there’s still some hype left for this pair: the Kotobukiya ARTFX+ Thanos and Captain Marvel statues are now up for PO!

I am not ashamed to admit that I’ve got a bit of a thing for She-Hulk. Jennifer Walters is pretty much the perfect woman: brilliant, independent, witty, capable and powerful. Heck, “Shulkie” is one of my nicknames for my wife (who, coincidentally, is also named Jennifer). So whenever a company announces a new She-Hulk collectible? I take notice. And although it’s been years since the last time a high-end statue of the character went up for sale, she’s finally back on the case: the Sideshow Exclusive She-Hulk Adi Granov Series Statue is now up for order!

While the end has come for major conventions in 2018 in the United States, it’s not quite over yet in Japan! Tokyo Comic Con 2018 is in full force this weekend, and although this isn’t a show that Hasbro attends, there are ample goodies to check out from other companies such as Hot Toys, Medicom and Kotobukiya. But the company who’s brought the most new Marvel figures to the show is Bandai Japan, who unveiled a plethora of new 6” figures, including SH Figuarts Captain Marvel, Agent Coulson, Nebula, Scarlet Witch, Loki and more!

This week was a mixed bag of good news and bad news for Marvel Figuarts Collectors. Good news: Bandai is releasing SH Figuarts Infinity War Thor and Wasp Figures. Bad news: Both are Tamashii Web Exclusives and not available via the usual import stores. More bad news: Infinity War Thor won’t be getting a domestic release at all. But at least some good news: the SH Figuarts Wasp figure is, and is now up for order in the United States!
