I had a little bit of an ulterior motive for talking about the 2019 Marvel Legends Hercules & Genis Captain Marvel Figures this morning. And that motive was: I didn’t want to be too far behind when Hasbro revealed more new Marvel Legends 2019 Figures tonight! Because for the first time ever, Hasbro unveiled upcoming Marvel Legends figures at the Unboxing Toy Convention in Mexico: 6” Living Laser, Nighthawk and the Kree Sentry Build-A-Figure!

Before closing the book on SDCC 2018 Marvel Legends coverage, there’s two more new figures that I need to talk about that didn’t logically fit with any of the other waves that have been discussed. Neither is a character that hasn’t been covered before by ML in some form, but I think fans will be in agreement that these are better renditions of these characters. Coming our way in the Avengers & Captain Marvel Marvel Legends waves next year: Hercules & Genis-Vell!

At this point, I couldn’t even begin to tell you how many dozens have been released, or even how many of them I own (it’s a lot). But even so, there’s at least one Iron Man armor that collectors have been asking for an upgrade to nonstop for over half a decade. And now, they’re gonna get it: the Hot Toys Iron Man Mark VII Diecast figure is now up for order!

If you’re a Marvel statue collector fan (or just read the headline), you’ve probably guessed it! The inevitable we’ve all known was coming since the green Avengers Assemble Hulk Statue was first announced is finally here: the Sideshow EXCLUSIVE Grey Hulk Statue is now up for order! With a limited edition size of 500, will anyone choose this Hulk of a different color over the red or green varieties?

But not only is the Cull Obsidian Series an unusually eclectic mix—it’s also been unusually hard to find in stores. And among the harder figures to come by is the one new comic book-based figures in the wave: Marvel Legends Black Knight…
Continue Reading →The Kotobukiya ARTFX+ X-Men ‘92 statues line has been one of the best surprises of 2018 so far, with figures of Wolverine, Jubilee, Cyclops, Beast and Professor X in hoverchair already solicited. And this week, the team grew some more with two more 90s mainstays: the Kotobukiya ARTFX+ Storm and Bishop two-pack is now up for order! Oh, and for those wanting the most famous Avengers mutant? ARTFX+ Scarlet Witch is on the way as well!

Sometimes we’re lucky enough to know that a repaint is in the works when an original statue is shown, and sometimes we’re not. Today’s item is unfortunately of the latter type, as it was recently announced… a year and a half after the original version. The Sideshow Avengers Assemble Stealth Iron Man Statue is now up for order, and is limited to just 500 pieces produced!

But now, a new player is entering the Avengers 3 game domestically: the Bandai SH Figuarts Infinity War figures are now available for order in the U.S.! As usual, most are priced a bit expensive because of license restrictions, but the price on Thanos isn’t half bad…

That first image of Black Widow’s head left many fans (including me) praying for an EX. Turns out we’ve been double-blessed! Not only does the regular head look somewhat better than expected, but a gorgeous long-haired head will also be included when the Sideshow Exclusive Black Widow Premium Format Figure is now up for order!

With Black Knight no longer having much of a presence in Marvel comic books, it wasn’t clear whether or not we’d see Dane Whitman ever get another day in the sun. But for their one new Marvel reveal at MCM London Comic-Con 2017 over the weekend, the Marvel Legends 2018 Black Knight figure joined the battlefield!
Continue Reading →Ordinarily I’m super-depressed when it’s a slow Marvel toy news week and there’s nothing to talk about, but since I’m dealing with major flood damage at home this week, I’m mostly okay with it. Sideshow Collectibles has their eye on all our dollars during their Spooktacular event this week, however, and following up their lightning-fast sell-out Phoenix from Monday, the Sideshow Exclusive Wasp Statue is now up for order!

But every family has a black sheep, and the Revoltech Marvel series just may have found theirs. The Kaiyodo Revoltech Captain America figure is now up for order, although this Cap figure is drawing some criticism from collectors for being more beefcake than any Cap figure before him…
Continue Reading →I was pretty psyched last year when Sideshow Collectibles announced their new line of 1/5 Avengers Assemble statues. Classic-styled comic statues with a smaller footprint for way less than Premium Format Figures? Count me in! Captain America and Iron Man were both home runs, and I even liked Thor despite his higher price-point. But I hadn’t seen anything yet: the Sideshow Avengers Assemble Hulk statue goes up for order this afternoon–and he’s not small, and he definitely ain’t cheap…
Continue Reading →With the bombardment of Marvel toy news going both into and out of last month’s San Diego Comic Con 2017, time has really flown by, as demonstrated by the fact that the latest Funko Marvel Collector Corps box has now arrived! The October 2017 Marvel Collector Corps Thor Ragnarok box is now up for order and is (obviously) entirely movie-based, so in the August 2017 box, Funko is balacing it out and giving us something totally comic-based–read on for full spoilers, unboxing photos and my Marvel Collector Corps First Appearance Avengers Box Review!
