In a few hours we’ll have proverbial longboxes filled with new Marvel toy news and photos to share from the Hasbro Marvel SDCC 2016 panel. But in the meantime, there’s some other companies whose reveals from San Diego Comic-Con 2016 deserve attention, and one of those companies is Kotobukiya! Along with the expected debuts of Bishoujo Loki and Lady Thor and the Spider-Man ARTFX+ Series, Koto also unveiled two totally unexpected surprises: the Kotobukiya Vision Fine Arts Statue and Squirrel Girl Bishoujo!

With C2E2 2016 in Chicago this weekend occurring just slightly over a month after the New York Toy Fair 2016, I didn’t expect to see any new collectibles revealed at the show.

Seeing as how the calendar claims today is the first day of December 2015, it’s probably time that we heard about the Winter 2016 LEGO Marvel sets, right…? Well, yes and no. While most of LEGO themes’ sets for the new year roll out January 1st, the LEGO Marvel 2016 sets are not among them. We’ll have to wait a while longer for those. Even so, at least we now know a few sets we can look forward to this winter–including the first-ever LEGO Thanos and Captain Marvel minifigures!

I’ve been playing the ultra-popular Disney Tsum Tsum mobile game on-and-off for about a year now, and picking-and-choosing random Tsum Tsum plush along the way. I have a big problem with Marvel vinyl figures. And the problem is that I can’t stop buying them. It used to be that relatively few vinyl Marvel figures got released each year–but with Funko’s explosion in popularity, the number of Marvel vinyls being released is at an all-time high. At some point I’m going to have to draw the line somewhat (for space purposes if not monetary ones)–but it doesn’t look like I’ll be able to kick the addiction anytime soon!
