We’re fast approaching the Venom 2 movie hitting theaters in October, and that means merch season is about to be in full swing. We got the “related” Marvel Legends Venom series and Kotobukiya Carnage last year due to the movie’s delay, but Sideshow debuted all-new 1/4 versions of the symbiotes during Sideshow Con 2021 last month. And up first to launch is the new Sideshow Carnage Premium Format Figure! And Cletus Kassidy isn’t coming alone—Sideshow’s newest 1/4 Captain America statue is up for order now as well!

San Diego Comic Con is generally the singular biggest event of the year for Sideshow Collectibles to unveil new statues at, and while SDCC 2021 isn’t *really* happening this year as a physical show, Sideshow has been holding their own Sideshow Con 2021 this week instead! I’m somewhat disappointed in the lack of new X-Men statues from them, but Sideshow otherwise hit us up with a grand slam of other new headliner 1/4 statue Marvel Premium Format Figures: Venom, Carnage, Captain America and Black Widow!

But those days are 2+ decades behind us now, and Red Skull is a bonafide movie star in the MCU with quite a few figures to his name. But somehow, one figure we’ve never gotten is a definitive version of the character in his most iconic classic look—at least, maybe not until now! The Xemnu Series Super Villains Marvel Legends Red Skull figure has arrived—has Hasbro created the perfect classic Red Skull action figure?

And sure enough, the biggest announcement today was what fans have been waiting for: Marvel Legends WandaVision, Loki and Falcon and Winter Soldier series figures are now up for order!

Given that who would ultimately end up with Captain America’s shield in the series was a foregone conclusion in the minds of most fans the moment that “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier” was announced, Disney did a pretty admirable job of keeping the conclusion of the show under wraps. But now that everyone has had three days to watch the final episode, it’s time to let the merch flow—and surprisingly, it’s Diamond Select Toys with first blood: the exclusive Marvel Select Falcon Captain America Sam Wilson figure is now up for order!

After all, rather than producing one unique character that most collectors will purchase a singular time, an army-builder will often be purchased multiple times with no more development expenses than a unique character. That’s why companies have seized on a special opportunity brought about by Avengers Endgame. And now, Bandai is getting in on that action—the Bandai SH Figuarts Avengers Endgame “Cap vs Cap” Captain America is now up for order in the US!
Continue Reading →I got sidetracked over the course of the past week, so this latest figure preview is arriving a bit late. But hey, in this case, that seems pretty appropriate—because it’s a preview of a figure that feels like it’s being solicited fashionably late! While basically every other company took orders for their Avengers Infinity War figures way back in 2018, Medicom Toy is just now adding a new addition to their own lineup from the movie: the MAFEX Infinity War Captain America figure is now up for order! Is this fashionably late version of Cap still worth a look two years after the movie?
Continue Reading →2020 may have arrived, but news is slow this holiday week and the Marvel Legends 2020 figures are still just beginning to trickle into stores at a slow pace. But while most collectibles companies making Marvel merch have been quiet this week, Hot Toys managed to slip in one more Avengers Endgame movie 12” figure pre-order to coincide with the new decade’s arrival: the MMS 563 Hot Toys 2012 Captain America Endgame figure is now up for order! Is this a worthwhile pickup for those who missed the original (or those who didn’t but want an upgrade)?

And if your preference is still other online retailers, stay tuned… I suspect those will be coming soon as well…)

When we made it all the way to the week of SDCC 2019 with every single Marvel Legends figure shown at Toy Fair up for PO except for the non-Fan Channel 80th Anniversary Series, it didn’t take a psychic to prophesy that they were being held onto for a grand Comic Con launch. And so it has come to pass: the Marvel Legends 80 Years series is now up for order online—including the Colossus vs. Juggeraut pack, the Amazon Exclusive Peggy Carter and Captain America set, and more!

Hasbro has been blindsiding Marvel Legends collectors with surprises all summer long, and that continues this week with one of a different sort! The movie-inspired Captain America shield role-play prop replicas have been hot sellers for years now, and now Hasbro is ready to give us a Cap shield of a (slightly) different color: the Marvel Legends 80th Anniversary Captain America Life-Size Shield Comic-based variant is now up for order! But… what’s the difference? Let’s take a look…
Continue Reading →Hasbro brought the goods at New York Toy Fair 2019 in February, where they debuted dozens of new Marvel Legends figures. But believe it or not, in just the last under five months since then, almost every single one of those toys has gone up for order except the 80th Anniversary Series and a lone Riders set. But we can now cross the latter off the list—the Marvel Legends Ultimate Captain America & WWII Motorcycle set is now up for order!
Continue Reading →If there’s one thing that Marvel Legends collectors could have confidently bet their life on coming out of Avengers Endgame, it’s that Hasbro would cash in on the sure-thing best-seller that is a “Worthy” Captain America figure. And now that all spoiler embargos have been listed, the announcement has transpired—but in an unexpected way: the Walmart Exclusive Marvel Legends Endgame Captain America with Mjolnir figure has now been revealed!
