When it rains Legends, it pours Legends! We’ve known for a few weeks now that the newest series of Hasbro X-Men Marvel Legends and Spider-Man Marvel Legends 6″ figures would be going up for order on June 1st 2016. Two series of $20 each figures at once can be a lot to handle–but out of nowhere, a third wave has been added to the mix tonight! Though we weren’t expecting it until fall, the Marvel Legends Captain America Civil War Wave 3 cases are now up for order–with movie Scarlet Witch figure!

Tuesday night, Funko made a megaton announcement of four new exclusive Marvel POP Vinyls (and one Dorbz exclusive): Unmasked and Unhooded Spider-Gwen POP, POP and Dorbz Deadpool in a suit, and an exclusive 75th Anniversary Captain America. Funko said that Cap should have been up for order Tuesday night, but instead we had to stalk Amazon for a day and half. But the wait is over–the Amazon Exclusive 75th Anniversary Sepia Captain America POP Vinyl is now up for order!
Continue Reading →I had to look it up to make sure, but it’s been over half a week since new exclusive Funko Marvel POP Vinyls were revealed. And as far as the King of Exclusives is concerned, that’s far too long! And so, tonight Funko announced five new Marvel exclusives: two Unmasked Spider-Gwen POP Vinyls, a POP and a Dorbz Deadpool in Suits, and an Amazon exclusive 75th Anniversary Sepia Captain America POP Vinyl that goes up for order later tonight!
Continue Reading →I promise I’m not planning to change the name of this site to “Funko Toy News”, but I gotta talk about what’s new in Marvel toy news… and the last few days, it’s all Funko!
The latest newly-revealed figure will help reinforce Funko’s reputation as “The King of Exclusives”, because it’s yet another exclusive Marvel POP. Coming exclusively to Kohl’s (yes, Kohl’s) this spring, it’s the Funko 75th Anniversary Captain America POP Vinyls figure!
Continue Reading →It’s become a bit of a tradition for Hasbro to blow me away with amazing action figures of characters that I frankly do not care about. And it looks like that tradition is about to carry over to another year, as Hasbro has granted us an action figure of a Captain America and Wolverine villain I never expected to see in toy form. The Captain America Marvel Legends Nuke figure is now available online for just above MSRP, and surprisingly, he’s worth buying for way more than the Giant-Man Build-A-Figure piece…
Continue Reading →Back when Funko announced the Marvel Collector Corps subscription box service in February 2015, they promised Founder’s Program members are special gift on the one-year anniversary of their subscriptions. Time has flown, and the much-discussed Marvel Collector Corps Founder’s Gift has arrived: a gold chrome Captain America statue! If you’re not a Founder, you can nab one of these exclusive statues for under $35 right now… but should you?
Continue Reading →I thought the timing of Mezco Toyz teasing their upcoming 1/12 Deadpool and Spider-Man figures this morning was a bit peculiar, what with none of the Marvel ONE:12 Collective figures for this year that we’ve preciously seen even being available for order yet. Of course, what I should have suspected is what turns out to be the case–those sneak peeks were to get us all hyped up to order this first figure in the line! And it worked on me–the ONE:12 Collective Captain America figure is now available for order!
Continue Reading →I heard rumblings a couple weeks ago during Toy Fair that the 2016 Marvel Legends Comic Packs two-packs had landed in the United States, and I’ve been in hot pursuit ever since.
Today, I finally tracked them down at retail–including the hotly-awaited Lady Thor and Sam Wilson Captain America action figures. But while there’s lots to love here, I know some collectors will be disappointed…
Continue Reading →When the lineup for the first 2016 Marvel Legends Captain America series was revealed, I was dead certain that Mockingbird, Bobbi Morse, was destined to be the hottest figure in the wave. As things ended up, Taskmaster stole that honor and became the most sought-after figure in the assortment… but not by much! The Marvel Legends Mockingbird figure is selling for a couple bucks above MSRP right now on the aftermarket–and it’s because she’s worth it!
Continue Reading →I’m committed to completing my review of the entire Captain America Marvel Legends Red Onslaught series before I leave for Toy Fair International 2016 in two days, and I’ve got two figures to talk about in that time. One is an almost 100% new tool that came close to totally blowing me away and is super hot on the aftermarket, and the other… isn’t.
Today I’ll be reviewing the latter: Marvel Legends Whirlwind is now available–should you order one?
Continue Reading →I’m a firm believer in the idea that every character is somebody’s favorite and needs to be treated with respect–but if there’s one character Hasbro has ever produced a 6″ figure of that isn’t anyone’s favorite, it’s likely Cottonmouth. Even so, produce him Hasbro has, and the Marvel Legends Cottonmouth figure is now available! Is it worth expanding your Marvel villains roster with this obscure baddie? Read on for my review…
Continue Reading →Let there be absolutely no doubt about it: we are living in a golden age for Marvel figures and collectibles. And while the market has been starting to get a wee bit crowded over the past year or two, another company is about to enter the fray. At their pre-New York Toy Fair 2016 press event today, Mezco Toyz revealed the first seven figures that they’ll be releasing in their all-new mixed media Marvel One:12 Collective figures line: Captain America, Daredevil and the Punisher!
Continue Reading →Ordinarily I’m not a Monday person, but when Diamond Select Toys announced that two new comics-based Marvel Select figures would be revealed on Monday, February 1st 2016, I knew that this Monday was gonna be a good one–and so it is! After DST announced there was no Black Panther in the Civil War movie line, I knew it was a matter of time until a comics Black Panther was announced. And now he has been–the exclusive Marvel Select Black Panther figure is now up for order… and he’s brought a new Avenging Captain America with him!
Continue Reading →“My” golden age of comic books (AKA my teenage years) was the 1990’s, so I’ve got a special place in my heart for Onslaught, the villain so powerful he was able to kill Captain America, Iron Man, the Fantastic Four and the Avengers. The Red Skull became the new Onslaught in 2014’s (awful) “Axis” crossover, and now Hasbro is bringing us 2014’s most important villain! You’ll have to buy all seven Captain America Marvel Legends 2016 figures to build the Red Onslaught Build-A-Figure… but is he worth it?
Continue Reading →“Scourge” is a name that tends to evoke two distinct reactions from various Marvel fans: terror or “Huh?”. A mercenary who primarily kills super-villains, Scourge is a fan-favorite character of longtime Captain America readers and one of the most efficient villain-killers in Marvel Universe history. Those who aren’t big Cap fans, on the other hand… may have never heard of this guy. Even so, the Marvel Legends Scourge figure is now up for order, and if you’re gonna build a Red Onslaught Build-A-Figure, then you’re gonna buy him! And luckily, he’s probably the best figure in the whole wave…
