I apologize for the lack of updates yesterday, as a combination of a ton of appointments at the New York Toy Fair 2017, massive server downtime because of the heavy traffic generated by the event and traveling back to New England from New York City with a massive migraine limited my posting capabilities temporarily. I’m expecting to see tons of surprise announcements of new Marvel toys and collectibles at New York Toy Fair 2017 this weekend (and I’ll be in New York City all weekend long reporting in), but there’s a quasi-surprise this week already! I wasn’t entirely sure that the Sideshow Collectibles Marvel Sixth Scale figure line was legit going to continue (there hasn’t been a new figure order since 2015), but the Sideshow Exclusive Daredevil figure is now up for order!

There may be a crazy snowstorm raging in New York City this morning, but the weather is no match for the power of a Mezco Toys Pre-Toy Fair event! And this year, for the first time ever, Mezco Toyz had a special treat for collectors (and bums like me who weren’t willing to fight the snow to go into New York City this morning): they live-streamed coverage of the event online! September 2016 just may be some sort of unofficial Netflix Daredevil merch month, as after getting close to no collectibles released for the show this year, we’ve gotten a healthy dose of new toys announced in the past week! DST announced the Season 2 Minimates box set last week, with Hot Toys opening pre-orders for their fantastic Daredevil sixth scale figure to open this week. It’s been a surprisingly quiet last few months for Marvel Hot Toys collectors, with a couple of Iron Man figures and Doctor Strange being the only new items solicited. But the respite is ending this week with what could be the start of a whole new Marvel lineup within the Hot Toys family: Netflix Marvel TV Series Figures! Earlier this week, Mezco Toyz posted the teaser image of their first-ever New York Comic Con exclusive Marvel ONE:12 Collective figure, and today they’ve dropped the whole motherlode of official photos and details regarding the action figure. I wasn’t totally convinced which version of Matt Murdock this was before, but there’s no question now–the ONE:12 Collective NYCC 2016 Shadowland Daredevil figure has now been fully revealed!

Among the best news of the year for Marvel collectors was that Mezco Toyz had obtained the Marvel license to make mixed-media Marvel six inch figures! Mezco debuted nine figures in their pre-Toy Fair buildup, and eight of those figures have been up for order for a while. So it comes as no surprise that they were saving the final figure in the initial lineup as a NYCC 2016 Exclusive–ONE:12 Collective Black Daredevil!
