One of the most poorly-kept 6″ Marvel Legends “secrets” of the year was that a classic Excalibur team set of some kind was on the way. Many fans assumed we’d be seeing a 5-Pack (or larger) to knock out the whole core team in one fell swoop, but it ends up that those guesses slightly missed the mark. Today, Hasbro officially revealed the upcoming Exclusive Marvel Legends Excalibur figures box set—including Captain Britain, Meggan and Shadowcat Kitty Pryde!

With under two months until show time, it certainly seems as though New York Comic Con 2021 is going to be a go! Given that we haven’t had a “nerd convention” of this scale in the United States since before the pandemic, I think everyone is still a little wary the event won’t happen at all. But along with news of ReedPop requiring proof of full vaccinations for all attendees 12 and up, we also got news of the first exclusive this week: the NYCC 2021 Exclusive Marvel Zombies Zombie Doctor Doom Bust is now up for order!
Continue Reading →The clock is ticking down on the Marvel Legends Galactus HasLab project, and since last week’s reveal of an exclusive Frankie Raye Nova unlockable didn’t do much to move the needle (at all), no time like the present to announce more releases to support backing the World Devourer! And so, that made yesterday the perfect time for Hasbro to officially reveal some figures we basically all knew were on the way anyway: the Marvel Legends Fantastic Four Retro series is now up for order! And while we’ve had the FF a few times in the last couple years, this wave brings us some stuff we’ve never seen before—like Psycho Man and the High Evolutionary!

Fantastic Four may have been the primary plot-line of this week’s Hasbro Pulse Marvel Fan First Monday stream, but there were still a few nuggets of non-FF news to be found! And X-fans have got some things they knew about—and some they did not—to get excited about! For the first time ever, ShopDisney (AKA the online Disney Store) is sharing an exclusive with Hasbro Pulse Premium: the exclusive Marvel Legends X-Force 3-Pack Cannonball, Domino and Rictor figures are now up for order! If you ever wanted Cannonball with legs, asymmetrical Domino or wild 90s Rictor with luscious long hair, this is the set for you!
Continue Reading →We’re just over a week out from the Disney+ debut episode of “What If…?”, the first canonical MCU animated series—but whether anyone has seen the show or not, reveals of the merch for the show is rolling out at a pretty steady pace! Amazon has opened pre-orders for their Exclusive Funko POP Year of the Shield Peggy Carter Riding Hydra Stomper figure, and Hot Toys is getting in on the action as well by debuting their one-sixth scale Captain Carter and humongous Hydra Stomper figures!
Continue Reading →With less than 28 days to go in the HasLab Marvel Legends Galactus campaign, the project is currently sitting at 10,404 backers–about 74.3% of the 14,000 minimum–met. In isolation, that’s a fantastically (pardon the pun) encouraging number for the World Devourer. But when you take into consideration that the vast majority of those sales are from the first day and most days since have had less than 100 backers, those numbers are a little worrisome. And that may be why, even though Galactus himself hasn’t been backed yet, Hasbro decided to drop the curtain and reveal the first stretch goal yesterday: the first-ever Marvel Legends Frankie Raye Nova figure!
Continue Reading →Last week wasn’t just a good week for new Marvel Legends figures going up for pre-order—Hasbro also announced and revealed a trio of new exclusives that would be coming our way later this year! It’s a pretty eclectic bunch, including a long-demanded Carol Danvers as Binary Marvel Legends figure for Walgreens, a repainted Hand Ninja army-builder for Hasbro Pulse, and even a new-ish and improved Spider-Man Homecoming Vulture movie figure for Target! Let’s take a closer look at this threesome of upcoming store exclusives…
Continue Reading →While the big Hasbro launch today is unquestionably the anticipated second wave of Marvel Legends Disney+ figures with Sylvie and the What If? Watcher Build-A-Figure, that’s not all Hasbro has ready to fly! For those looking to scratch a classic Marvel Comics-based itch, there’s an all-new Marvel Legends Tigra Retro figure up for order today! And for those who are especially hyped about the What If? series, you can take your Captain Peggy Carter to the next level by picking up the Deluxe Marvel Legends Hydra Stomper to complement it!
Continue Reading →It’s hard to believe since the perception of time went all screwy when a pandemic threw off the rhythm of the entire world, but it’s been over a year-plus now that we’ve known Iron Studios had an exclusive 1/10 scale Juggernaut statue on the way as a stand-alone (separate from the Sentinel) part of their X-Men statues series. Cain arrived internationally months ago, but the time has arrived for US folk: the limited Iron Studios Juggernaut exclusive statue is now up for order only on Sideshow’s website!
Continue Reading →Last summer, Hasbro lit the Marvel collecting world ablaze with the runaway success of the Marvel Legends Sentinel HasLab figure, a project which obliterated all its stretch goals and netted an amazing 21,000+ backers. So it’s no surprise that Hasbro is back at it again this year with what’s beyond a doubt the most popular other hugely oversized character they could make: the 32” tall Marvel Legends HasLab Galactus figure has now been fully revealed, and the campaign is on to get 14,000+ backers and make this project a reality!
Continue Reading →Last fall, Hasbro threw diehard 90s Spider-Man fans a real treat with the reveal and subsequent release of their exclusive 6” Marvel Legends Cyborg Spider-Man, upgrading the fan-favorite 90s Toybiz figure. This summer, Hot Toys has upped the ante further, by announcing their own 1/6th scale Cyborg Spidey exclusive! And that’s not all: an Infinity War Neon Tech 4.0 Iron Man will be the other Hot Toys 2021 Toy Fair Exclusive! Are either of these limited release figures must-haves for sixth scale collectors? Let’s have a look…
Continue Reading →Hasbro took the collecting world off-guard earlier this week, when they announced Hasbro PulseCon 2021 out of nowhere and followed it up with the exclusive Marvel Legends Retro Venom figure. But the surprise level of that reveal was NOTHING compared to the one dropped today! The other relevant 2021 Hasbro PulseCon Exclusive is one that I can’t imagine anyone in the universe could have predicted: Marvel Legends MODOK World Domination Tour set with Nextwave’s… ELVIS MODOK and The Captain figures!?
Continue Reading →Earlier today, Hasbro officially announced the return of Hasbro PulseCon for 2021! As Hasbro PulseCon is a virtual convention focused on bringing fans online exclusive figures and web-based panels, it seemed like a no-brainer that we’d be seeing an exclusive Marvel Legends figure (or figures) announced sooner than later. But Hasbro really wasted no time, as just a couple hours after announcing the con itself, the Hasbro PulseCon 2021 Exclusive Marvel Legends Venom Retro Series figure has now been revealed!
Continue Reading →Repaints are a fact of life in the action figure world–especially easy-to-make translucent repaints that don’t require much paint. And so, it wasn’t a completely stunning development today when a GameStop Exclusive Marvel Legends Miles Morales Camouflage figure went up for order. But what did turn out to be pretty unexpected was that this isn’t a repaint at all–it’s an all-new, never-before-seen GamerVerse Miles Morales figure mold! Presumably we’ll get a regular painted iteration of this Miles Morales Spider-Man down the road, but for now, let’s have a look at the pretty clear blue version!
Continue Reading →Hasbro has been revealing a different X-Men related figure through members of the collecting community each weekday for the past week, and now we know why. The cat (or rather, the Wolverine) is out of the bag: a new Amazon Exclusive Marvel Legends Wolverine box set is now up for order! Cyber and a repainted Omega Red join the previously announced Callisto, Mastermind and Shirtless Wolverine–but is this quintet a must-have…?
