Just when it seemed as though the Toy Fair Exclusive Scarlet Spider sixth scale figure was a lock for “Fastest Hot Toys Sell-Out of 2019” after going to Wait List in under 12 hours, Hot Toys dropped a bombshell this week when they revealed an MMS that’s likely to blow poor Scarlet Spider’s sales out of the water! It’s so “out there” that many collectors never even considered it could happen, but the EXCLUSIVE Hot Toys Stan Lee in Spacesuit 1/6 figure is now up for order!

I generally try to practice what I preach with regards to placing pre-orders for limited edition items early before they sell out and explode price-wise on the aftermarket, but sometimes I get careless (or is it lazy?). Such was the case with the first character released in the Iron Studios Avengers Endgame 1:10 Statue line, who quickly sold out worldwide and is sharply escalating in value. I ended up paying 150 bucks shipped for my Iron Studios Nebula Statue on eBay… was she worth the inflated price I had to pay to secure one at all?

And sure enough, we get to start off this week’s Marvel toy news with a second item for next month’s major event: the SDCC 2019 Exclusive Marvel Legends Collector & Grandmaster 6” figure two-pack has now been revealed!
Continue Reading →Of all the new toys that I thought I might be talking about in the middle of June, I can truthfully say that a new batch of Christmas-themed figures was nowhere on the list. But they came anyway, so now let’s talk about them: the Holiday 2019 Funko Marvel POP Vinyls are now up for order, including Ugly Sweater Thanos, Snowman Captain America, and the cutest dang Baby Groot we might ever see! Will you be celebrating Christmas in July (or even sooner) with any of these holiday POPs?

But for their next launch, they’re throwing us a curveball in the form of a long-demanded supporting character getting her first (and almost certainly only) 1/6 MMS ever: the Hot Toys Nebula figure is now up for order! Should you make space for Thanos’ other daughter to join your collection…?
Continue Reading →There was a time about four years ago when I still had delusions that it was possible to be a completist with Guardians of the Galaxy merch. With the sheer mass of GOTG collectibles that have been released over the past several years, I’ve realized that goal is pretty unrealistic. But with Chris Pratt’s Star-Lord being my favorite character in the whole MCU, I’m all-in when it comes to Star-Lord toys. So when the Marvel Gallery Star-Lord Unmasked PVC statue started shipping last month, it was on its way to my home shortly thereafter. At 11″ tall and just 40 bucks, it’s a steal value-wish… but is this Chris Pratt figure actually any good…?
Continue Reading →I always try desperately to curb my spending around the holidays, but when a good deal comes up, a good deal comes up. So when Amazon temporarily mispriced the Iron Studios Rocket Raccoon & Groot BDS Statue down to 45 bucks last week, what was a GOTG fan to do besides one-click purchase them for himself, right? They caught the mistake reasonably quick and spiked the price back up now, which begs the question: is this 1:10 Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 Statue worth the full MSRP?

Even though there’s no major convention or event going on in the United States this weekend, there is a rather notable show going on in Asia: the Singapore Toy Games & Comic Convention (STGCC) 2018! And at this year’s show, XM Studios debuted some spectacular new 1/4 scale Marvel statues, including Star-Lord, the Scarlet Witch, Brown Costume Wolverine, Red Hulk, Rocket Raccoon and Groot and more!

While we’ve only gotten a couple holiday Marvel Funko items in the past, The Big F is going all-out this year with whole series of both Holiday Marvel POP Vinyls and Pint-Size Heroes now up for PO! Behold the majesty of Ugly Sweater Thanos and Snowman Captain America!
Continue Reading →Toys R Us’s quick and catastrophic collapse earlier this year through the entire toy industry for a loop, and also left a slew of Toys R Us exclusives stuck in distribution limbo. One such exclusive is the subject of today’s review: a three-pack that managed to hit TRU stores in some regions, but left others (like mine) barren. But online retailers have come to the rescue, bringing us once-lost exclusives such as this Marvel Legends Infinity War Groot, Thor and Rocket Raccoon set I got from Entertainment Earth…
Continue Reading →Just when you think Funko has done everything they can possibly do with POP Vinyls, they go and break the mold with something totally unexpected. And last winter, they did just that by announcing a match made in heaven: the marriage of super-deformed POP Vinyls heads and… Pez dispensers?! That’s right–believe it or not, as revealed this summer, Funko POP Pez Marvel Wave 1 is coming our way: POP Pez Stan Lee, Yondu and Gladiator Hulk are now up for order!
Continue Reading →All of the 2018 Marvel Cinematic Universe movies may have come and gone, but don’t worry—with over half a year to go until the Captain Marvel movie, the merchandise for Black Panther, Avengers Infinity War and even Ant-Man and the Wasp will keep rolling out for many months to come. And Funko announced their next batch of Infinity War POP Vinyls this month—including Winter Soldier, Young Gamora, and even an Amazon-Exclusive POP Eitri (Peter Dinklage) figure!
Continue Reading →San Diego Comic Con 2018 is just a day away, but Kotobukiya must have figured “Hey, why not get a head start on the competition?”, because they decided to reveal two never-before-seen ARTFX+ statues today! And hey, it’s not just “another Iron Man” and “another Captain America” either. Instead, it’s two characters Koto has never captured in this scale before: the Kotobukiya ARTFX+ Gamora and Phoenix statues are now up for order!
Continue Reading →UPDATE (6/18/2018): For those who missed out on the life-size Marvel Legends Star-Lord Helmet last year and have been kicking themselves ever since because of the crazy $150-$200+ aftermarket prices it’s been selling for lately, you’re in luck–Amazon has put some leftovers of the electronic Star-Lord helmet back up for sale at the original $99 MSRP! I haven’t heard anything about this helmet getting a full reissue from Hasbro, so this may well be the last chance to grab this for a decent price if you need it!
Continue Reading →Diamond Select Toys’ Marvel Gallery line of PVC statues is the gift that keeps on giving, bringing us multiple new low-priced statues from Marvel comics and movies virtually every single month. This month is no exception, and the newest offerings are among some of the best that we’ve seen from the line to-date: the Marvel Gallery Iron Spider, Unmasked Star-Lord and Cloak & Dagger statues are now up for order!
