Dipping back into my bag of hi-res photos that I took at New York Toy Fair 2018 last month, today I’m taking a look at the first-ever Hasbro Marvel Legends Venom series of 6” figures! While Hasbro didn’t show the entire series at Toy Fair, they did unveil three new figures to complement the previously-revealed Venom and Carnage: Spider-Ham, Scream and a Poison! And hey—what’s this about a Monster Venom Build-A-Figure…?

It’s been a quiet week for Marvel toy news, so time to dip into my huge cache of 2018 Marvel Legends figures that still need reviews! Having reviewed the most in-demand figure of the series first (the Thanos Build-A-Figure), it seemed appropriate to go for the guaranteed shelf-warmer of the series with my second review. The Marvel Legends King Cobra figure is readily available online for MSRP—but what he lacks in star power, he makes up for in being sheerly awesome!

A couple weeks back, we got our first packaged look at the latest addition to the series of Walmart Exclusive Marvel Legends: Thanos with Infinity Gauntlet! With the big launch date for the Avengers Infinity War toys coming up on March 3, many surmised we’d be seeing this comics-based Thanos figure in stores on or around that date. And those collectors were right! The Walmart Thanos Legends figure is being found in stores (and is also readily available being scalped on eBay) right now!

I’m back home from New York Toy Fair 2018, and after 14 hours of sleep, I’m ready to begin my coverage here on the site! I’ve already uploaded hundreds of photos to the Marvel Toy News Facebook Page (and plenty more on our Facebook and Twitter), and those images will be making their way here to the main site throughout the week in comprehensive articles. But to begin, how about a little fun? Here’s my completely opinionated Top 10 Marvel Legends figures revealed at the 2018 Toy Fair!

UPDATE (2/16/2018): Looks like Hasbro had a little pre-Toy Fair surprise for us tonight, because without warning or fanfare, both the Marvel Legends Captain America & Crossbones two-pack and the Marvel Legends Iron Man Mark VII figure are now up for order online!

If you’ve been hanging out on various toy sites and social media groups this week, you may have seen a “little” (BIG) something that snuck out to retailers a bit early. Out of respect to Hasbro and this insane item they’ve created, I wanted to wait for the official announcement before talking about it. And that foretold day has come—in advance of New York Toy Fair 2018, the Marvel Legends Infinity Gauntlet Life-Size Replica has now been revealed!

When Hasbro released their first Marvel Legends Thanos Build-A-Figure back in Age of Ultron Wave 2 in 2015, fans noticed that there was a little something missing. Specifically, a certain really big glove. But have no fear, Infinity Gauntlet fans! As promised at SDCC 2017, a single-packed Marvel Legends Thanos with Infinity Gauntlet is on the way as a Walmart exclusive—and the first packaged photos of it have now appeared!

While there’s absolutely going to be no shortage of Marvel movies coming out in 2018, one film that’s still just a wee bit too far off for fans to be really hyped about right now is the Venom movie. But if there’s one thing that can get collectors pumped about a movie that’s 8 months away, it’s toys! And Hasbro announced an unexpected series of Venom Marvel Legends 6” Figures today that ought to do the trick…

UPDATE 2/2/2018: If you’re one of the many collectors who didn’t want the whole set of Deadpool Legends figures and just wanted to pick and choose your favorites, now you’ve got that option: individual figures of Marvel Legends Cable, Domino, X-23, X-Force Deadpool and the rest are now up for order!

Good news: Hasbro officially unveiled their first toys tying in to this summer’s Ant-Man and the Wasp movie this week. Bad news (from a certain point of view): None of those toys are 6″ Marvel Legends figures. We’re going to be waiting a bit longer (likely until New York Toy Fair 2018 in two weeks) to see what Hasbro has in store for adult collectors as far as Ant-Man & Wasp movie toys go, but in the meantime, let’s take a look at the Titan Hero figures, role-play items and 12″ action figures that are on the way…

It’s been rather quiet lately on the Marvel Legends news front as we approach the 2018 Toy Fair in New York City, but Hasbro decided to kick off this week with some totally out-of-the-blue announcements that confirm the rumors: a Deadpool Legends Wave 2 series is coming our way in Fall 2018, including new 6” Marvel Legends Omega Red and Lady Deadpool figures and more!

Black Panther doesn’t exactly have the most mainstream cast of supporting characters, so when it came time to fill out the Black Panther Marvel Legends figures series with comic-based figures, Hasbro had to stretch a bit and slot in other “kings”. It was sort of a reach, but few fans were complaining about getting new, classic versions of the Kings of the Inhumans and of Atlantis! Supply has caught up to demand and Marvel Legends Namor is available now online for MSRP, but is this the best toy ever of the character?

Although 2018 kicked off with the surprisingly outstanding Marvel Legends Black Panther series, it’s otherwise been a bit of a slow start for Marvel Legends 2018. We won’t see most of this year’s new figures revealed until New York Toy Fair 2018 next month, and we’re still waiting for the Lizard and Sasquatch series to go up for order domestically. But internationally, the Marvel Legends Deadpool series was just released this week—including a mass-release X-Force Deadpool Hasbro hasn’t officially announced yet!

When the first-ever Guardians of the Galaxy Marvel Legends series came out in 2014, many fans were surprised to see a comics-based Iron Man in the series. As a proven seller, a new Iron Man seemed like a surefire seller for the series. Well, another Marvel franchise is getting its first movie, and Tony Stark is back again! The Black Panther Marvel Legends Invincible Iron Man figure has been selling for inflated prices and is the surprise hot figure in the wave—is this figure as good as its sales have been?
