I’m a self-admitted X-Men fanboy, so I was anticipating this year’s X-Men Marvel Legends 2014 figures even more than the superb Captain America Marvel Legends and Spider-Man Marvel Legends series (not to mention the so-so Guardians of the Galaxy Marvel Legends figures). As a shared Toys R Us/Diamond Previews exclusive, this wave was also more expensive and harder to get than the others. Are they worth your effort and money? But every man has his limits, and I gave in to temptation this week and ordered the Marvel Mashers Deadpool figure online. While their collector-oriented releases for 2014 are just about at an end, Hasbro still has a plethora of kid-focused Marvel action figures lined up for the second half of 2014! The Hasbro Marvel Super Hero Mashers figures are a line that I legit thought were some sort of prank when they debuted, but their stylized look has really started to grow on me. And now I’ve ordered a pair of Marvel Mashers figures online for the first time ever. Why? Because it’s two characters I can never seem to pass on–the Marvel Mashers Deadpool and Red Hulk figures have now been released!

With the release of the Marvel Legends Agent Venom Walgreens exclusive action figure, all of Hasbro’s Marvel Legends 2014 action figures have now hit stores (with the exception of the Target Marvel Legends Radioactive Man three-pack). But if you’re a diehard Hasbro Marvel figure collector, Hasbro still has quite a bit in store for you this year! They’re not everyone’s cup of tea, but a new four-figure box set containing three all-new Marvel Titan Hero figures has now been released, including the first-ever 12″ Titan Hero Venom, Green Goblin and Electro figures!

Another of the portents of the apocalypse has come to fruition, as I’m talking about the Hasbro Marvel Titan Hero 12″ figures for the second day in a row. Marvel Titan Heroes aren’t my favorite line (not am I the target demographic), but a lot of people love them, so I want to feature them when I can. And a pretty star-studded series of Avengers Titan Hero figures have begun hitting stores this week, including Dr. Doom, Hawkeye and the Falcon!

Hulk is a unique character in that he doesn’t just change his costume–he changes his entire person when he changes into different forms of himself. But not content with the one-man-army of iterations of himself, Hulk has joined a super-team composed entirely of Hulk-related characters for a currently-airing animated series–“Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H.”! The “Hulk and the Agents of SMASH” cartoon series has been running for almost a full year now and has had a successful run, and that means that Hasbro has finally deigned to give fans what they really want: toys! The first Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H. figures and toys have now been released!

One Marvel toy line that doesn’t get a lot of headlines here on Marvel Toy News is the Marvel Titan Hero figures. That’s for a couple of reasons, but primarily because the Hasbro Titan Heroes are aimed purely at children and I tend to dabble more in the collector-oriented, middle-to-high-end collectibles. That said, Hasbro has gotten my attention with their latest Ultimate Spider-Man Titan Hero figures released, because they made some very interesting character choices for a change–including the Miles Morales Ultimate Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2099!

Hasbro unquestionably brought their ‘A’-Game to San Diego Comic Con 2014, where they silenced critics by announcing a veritable blockbuster assortment of characters for their 2015 Marvel Legends Avengers Infinite Series 6″ figures line. And at the SDCC 2014 Hasbro Marvel Panel, they took their impressiveness even further. While Avengers Marvel Legends Wave 1 will be entirely comic-based, Marvel Legends 2015 Avengers Wave 2 will be a mix of comic and movie characters, and bring us super-articulated Marvel Legends Maria Hill, Agent Coulson, Nick Fury… and the the first-ever Marvel Legends Thanos Build-A-Figure!

Hasbro tried to pull a fast one on fans at San Diego Comic Con 2014 on Thursday, when they pulled the Classic Hawkeye Marvel Legends Avengers Series 1 figure out of the display case after photos leaked with Hawkeye as part of the wave. But on Friday, Hasbro went ahead and laid a few more cards on the table (or figures in the display, as the case may be). Not only will Marvel Legends 2015 bring us the Marvel Legends Hawkeye variant we’ve been waiting for, but we’ll also be getting the long-lost Marvel Legends Iron Fist figure and the parts to make a King Thor Build-A-Figure!
