Marvel Legends Black Widow Figure 2 Per Case Revision Confirmed

Marvel Legends Captain America The Winter Soldier Black Widow Figures 2014

This will sound totally wild, but I actually don’t own any of the Marvel Legends Captain America: The Winter Soldier movie figures, as I was determined not to buy any of the trio until I found a retail-priced Black Widow. While that goal has been a major frustration for thousands of other collectors, Hasbro has just made things a whole lot easier by confirming a new case revision that will allow online retailers to sell Winter Soldier Marvel Legends figures sets for a fair price and hopefully make Black Widow and company a cinch to find in stores…

Marvel Infinite Series 3 Ares Figure Hasbro 2014

Even though many collectors have yet to see a single Marvel Infinite Series 1 figure on shelves (not one of my local stores have even stocked them yet), but Hasbro is going full steam ahead with the Marvel Universe 2014 successor line of figures! Hasbro gave us a glimpse at Marvel Infinite Series 3 figures at the 2014 Toy Fair in February, but today Hasbro allowed pre-orders for Marvel Infinite Series Wave 3 to open, revealing fantastic case ratios and some unreleased figures we thought might be lost forever…

Amazing Spider-Man 2 Spider Strike Super Charged Electro 4" Figure

If you’re like me and try to collect at least one of every Marvel movie character in the Hasbro Marvel Universe 4″ figure scale, Hasbro has made deciding which Amazing Spider-Man 2 Electro figure to buy very, very simple: they only made one. Amidst a sea of wacky, crazy Spider-Man variations (Web Wing Spider-Man?!), there’s the Hasbro Amazing Spider-Man 2 Power Charged Electro figure. If you want every movie character released, you’ll need this 4″ Electro figure. But once you have him, well… you might wish you didn’t…

Guardians of the Galaxy Marvel Legends Case Ratios

Yesterday the much talked-about Guardians of the Galaxy Marvel Legends 6″ action figures went up for pre-order, and today the case assortment for the series has been revealed! To my chagrin, the Marvel Legends Guardians of the Galaxy figures case ratios are not quite what I was expecting. Though he won’t even be appearing in the Guardians of the Galaxy movie, it appears that there will be plenty of Marvel Legends Iron Man figures to keep shelves warm this summer…

Marvel Legends Nova Figure Packaged Guardians of the Galaxy

Considering what a complete and utter pain it’s been in 2014 to track down any Marvel Legends figures that aren’t characters named “Captain America” or “Spider-Man”, I’ve been half-dreading the eventual release of the Marvel Legends Guardians of the Galaxy figures. But no longer!

Not only has the “official” street date for them been revealed, but all six Guardians of the Galaxy Marvel Legends figures (including Nova and Gamora) are now available individually for pre-order!

Marvel Legends All-New X-Men Set Toys R Us Exclusive

One of the advantages of living north of Boston is that it’s a short jaunt up to sales tax-free New Hampshire. This pays off for me pretty frequently (shocker: I buy a lot of stuff), and it had the potential to pay off once again today, as I made a quick trip up to a NH Toys R Us with this week’s 20% Off coupon. I had designs on picking up a Marvel Legends All-New X-Men Box Set for a reasonable price, and I had the opportunity to pick from three sets at the store. In the end, though, I decided to pass and save my $71.99. Here’s why…

X-Men Marvel Legends Phoenix Five Cyclops Figure For Sale!

Phoenix Five Cyclops Marvel Legends Prototype Figure

Hasbro has really dropped the ball over the past few years as far as getting Marvel Legends variant figures that they’ve shown off publicly into stores. While there’s still hope for some of these figures (like Bulldozer and Classic Hawkeye) to make it to retail, some of them are lost to us forever. One such figure is the Marvel Legends Phoenix Five Cyclops figure. But although Hasbro has confirmed they’ll never mass-produce this action figure, you still have a chance to own one, as a Wolverine Legends Phoenix Five Cyclops figure prototype has now surfaced for auction this week!

Avengers Infinite Series Wasp Figure Packaged Marvel Universe 2014 Hasbro

Even though the first wave of the Hasbro Marvel Infinite Series 4″ figures is just starting to hit stores in the last week, the long-wanted Wasp figure is already burning up the aftermarket and selling for $30+.

But fear not, Marvel Universe-scale fans! Help is on the way in the form of a case assortment that at least I think is pretty decent, which brings us two Janet Van Dyne Wasp figures–as well as two of everybody else–per case…

At last month’s New York Toy Fair 2014, Hasbro made a ton of upcoming products official that many collectors already knew to be in the pipeline from leaked retailer lists, including the Marvel Infinite Series 2 lineup of action figures! While we already knew they were coming before the 2014 Toy Fair, we got to see them for the first time last month.

And now Hasbro has sent out hi-res images of the series, giving our best look yet at Marvel Avengers Infinite Series Wave 2 Death’s Head, Whirlwind, Red She-Hulk and more!

Marvel Legends Carnage Infinite Series Figure Review

Now that the 2014 Toy Fair is officially in the history books, I want to jump back and discuss some of the collectibles that I put on the back-burner over the course of the past month. One such action figure is quite possible the single most popular Hasbro Marvel Legends action figure released thus far in 2014: the Spider-Man Marvel Legends Carnage Infinite Series figure! Carnage has had his fair share of figures released in the past, but this one? This one is going to be the bar that all future Carnage figures will have to strive to surpass…

Rocket Raccoon 2.5 Inch Figure Hasbro Guardians of the Galaxy

When Hasbro announced the lineup for the Marvel Legends Guardians of the Galaxy figures assortment earlier this month, many collectors (including me) were bummed that the movie Guardians of the Galaxy Marvel Legends were limited to the five members of the team with zero villains or secondary characters. Well, Hasbro revealed a whole range of Guardians of the Galaxy 2.5″ figure two-packs at Toy Fair 2014 last week, and if you want villains and ancillary characters, you’re in luck! But if you want high-quality, well-articulated figures of those characters–then you may be out of luck…

Marvel Super Hero Mashers Series 3: Ghost Rider! Deadpool! Iceman!

2014 Toy Fair Marvel Mashers Ghost Rider

Marvel Super Hero Mashers definitely are not my favorite action figure line of 2014. In general, they’re a bit too “kiddie” for me, and I wasn’t totally in love with the character selection for the first series. That said, Hasbro may have won me over–just a little bit–with their Toy Fair 2014 Marvel Super Hero Mashers Series 3 reveals. As if Hasbro went into my brain and pulled out four characters that would be ideal lures for me, at last week’s New York Toy Fair 2014 Hasbro debuted the Marvel Mashers Deadpool, Iceman, Red Hulk and Ghost Rider figures!

Marvel Infinite Series 2 Whirlwind Figure Toy Fair 2014

Seeing as how the first wave of Hasbro Marvel Infinite Series 3 3/4″ action figures are almost ready to ship out and up till now we’d heard zippo from Hasbro about Wave 2, it didn’t take a zen master of collecting to know that the 2014 Marvel Universe Infinite Series 2 figures would be debuting at New York Toy Fair 2014 this weekend.

And as expected, they did–highlighted by the Marvel Infinite Series 2 Whirlwind, Death’s Head and Red She-Hulk action figures!
