While I was at Target this morning hysterically tossing the new X-Men Marvel Legends figures into my basket, I caught a glimpse of something out of the corner of my eye that it took my brain a moment to comprehend. Though I hadn’t heard any reports about them hitting stores yet, the Marvel Universe scale 3.75″ Marvel Legends 2017 Wave 1 figures were all in-stock and in front of my face, including X-23 Wolverine, Moon Knight, Maestro and more!

Over the weekend, I decided to take some time to discuss the revival of Hasbro Marvel Comic Packs coming up in 2016. But of course, those two-packs won’t be the only 4″ Marvel Infinite Series figures coming our way this winter!
The successor to the Marvel Universe line rolls on next year, with six figures each in Marvel Infinite Series 2016 Wave 1 and Wave 2… and, oh yeah: Lockjaw is coming!
Continue Reading →There’s been a definite lack of Marvel toy news over the last several days, which I imagine has something to do with this “Star Wars” thing that every toy company seems to be all excited about right now. And so, while there’s nothing new to talk about, per se, I think I will take this opportunity to go back and talk about something I skipped discussing in my San Diego Comic-Con 2015 coverage: the first twelve Marvel Infinite Series 2016 figures comprising Comic Packs Series 1 and Series 2… including Lady Thor and Falcon Captain America!
Continue Reading →At San Diego Comic-Con 2015 last week, Hot Toys finally dropped the curtain and revealed their much-anticipated Ant-Man Movie Masterpiece Series figure. Reaction to the overall look of the figure has been positive, leaving most collectors with just one question: “When can we buy it?”
Well, Hot Toys must have figured that what day could be better than the one when Ant-Man hits theaters–the Hot Toys Ant-Man figure is now up for order!
Continue Reading →Up until this week, it had been a month or so since there were new Hasbro Marvel figures released. But recess is over, and Hasbro has declared open season on collectors’ wallets once again! While 20+ Marvel Legends figures went up for sale this week, Hasbro didn’t want to leave their 4″ collectors out in the dust entirely: the Ant-Man & Flying Ant Marvel Infinite Series set is now up for order!

Seeking to avert this catastrophe, I decided to do an early-morning Target run, even though I wasn’t on the hunt for anything of the non-caffeinated variety. Luckily, I don’t think I’ve ever been in a Target in my entire life without checking the toy department, so I had to do a quick check–and discovered some figures I didn’t even know were out! The sorta-awaited 4″ Hasbro Avengers Age of Ultron Scarlet Witch, Iron Legion, War Machine and more have now been released!
Continue Reading →While the Hasbro Marvel Legends Infinite Series 3 3/4″ figures are back in 2015 for another year, the style and articulation level of new molds have undergone a drastic change going forward. This switch hasn’t exactly been met with open arms by collectors, but I decided to pick up the new Black Cat figure for review anyway.
Is she good? Sort of. Is the Marvel Infinite Series Black Cat worth buying for $13-$15…? Well…
Continue Reading →The year is off to a controversial start for the long-running Hasbro Marvel Infinite Series (AKA Marvel Universe) toy line, as prices for the line are at an all-time high and articulation has been reduced to an all-time low. That said, the first wave of 2015 Marvel Infinite Series had some strong figures in it, and based off the case ratios and prototypes, the next wave will have some hot characters in it as well. Marvel Infinite Series Wave 7–including Shanna the She-Devil and the Vulture–is now up for order!
Continue Reading →Of all the various Avengers Age of Ultron toy lines out there, the sole one that I immediately wrote off as being junk was the Hasbro 4″ Avengers Age of Ultron figures. With the line’s wonky paint deco and five points of articulation, I genuinely thought that Hasbro had zero plans for this line that would get collectors excited. I was wrong. Coming soon to Avengers Age of Ultron 4″: Scarlet Witch, Ultron 2.0 and Iron Legion figures!
Continue Reading →Although some stores started accidentally putting product out on the shelves weeks ago, this week is the official launch window for the majority of the Avengers: Age of Ultron toys! And, as with most Marvel Studios films, Hasbro has now released a series of Marvel Universe-scale 4″ Avengers of Ultron toys. But while the Hasbro 4″ Marvel figures are traditionally some of their most beloved offerings, I have a feeling that the Avengers Age of Ultron All-Stars Figures are not going to be welcomed with warms, loving arms by many collectors…
Continue Reading →When the hi-res images of the long-awaited Hasbro Marvel Infinite Series 2015 Wave 1 4″ figures finally appeared last night, I knew that the time was nearly upon us. And less than 24 hours later, it has arrived–the 2015 Marvel Infinite Series Wave 1 figures are now up for order! Are the case ratios all they’re cracked up to be? And did someone say “price increase”?
Continue Reading →Hasbro is obviously very high on their new 2.5″ scale of Marvel action figures, as evidenced by the fact that it was the main scale for their Guardians of the Galaxy and Avengers: Age of Ultron movie toys. But even though Hasbro is enamored with this new, smaller scale, that doesn’t mean that they’ve totally abandoned Marvel Universe/Marvel Infinite Series collectors to the cold, hard world! Hasbro has a full series of eight 3 3/4″ Marvel Infinite Series 2015 figures scheduled to come out early this year! Although, the style is a little bit “different” than what we’ve come to expect…
Continue Reading →A couple weeks back I reviewed the 2014 X-Men Marvel Legends Cyclops figure. That 6″ Cyclops figure had its share of flaws and failed to impress me, but Hasbro had one other Cyclops figure lined up for this year: the previously-canceled Marvel Universe Astonishing Cyclops figure.
I had high enough hopes for this long-delayed 4″ figure that I didn’t mind ordering Cyclops online, but ultimately the Marvel Infinite Series Cyclops figure ended up disappointing me as well…
Continue Reading →Ah, Ares. Fans were skeptical when the Greek God of War joined the Avengers, but Ares’ smash-and-kill go-get-’em attitude quickly won over many readers. And then Ares died the most gruesome death in the history of Marvel Comics, as he was bilaterally ripped in half by the Sentry. To commemorate that memorable event, Hasbro is finally bringing Ares to the Marvel Universe scale, as the Marvel Infinite Series Ares figure was released this summer! Is this 3 3/4″ Ares figure worth adding to your collection? Read on…
Continue Reading →Hasbro waltzed into San Diego Comic Con 2014 this week and really knocked the socks off of Marvel Legends collectors with their previews of the 6″ Marvel Legends 2015 figures lineup. But for fans of the 4″ Marvel Infinite Series figures, things weren’t quite as peachy-keen.
While character selection for the 2015 Marvel Infinite Series is definitely top-notch, the figures themselves that Hasbro has developed are likely to disappoint plenty of collectors…
