While I was drawing out my 2014 budget today (yes, I waited until January 1st, 2014 to do so), I realized there were quite a few more Hot Toys Marvel MMS figures already announced for 2014 than I thought, so I had to adjust my outlook accordingly. News hit the street on Thanksgiving Day last week that Hot Toys was bringing back the highly-desirable Hot Toys Hulk figure in a special set with the all-new Hot Toys Bruce Banner sixth scale figure. We had to wait a week to get confirmation that this duo would be making their way to the United States, but the long-awaited Bruce Banner Hot Toys figure (and The Other Guy!) are now up for pre-order! Just when many collectors thought that the Hot Toys Avengers 1/6 Movie Masterpiece Series figures line was at an end, Hot Toys has revealed to the world the official photos and specifications for two more Avengers Hot Toys Sixth Scale figures! Though we first saw a Chitauri Footsoldier prototype over a year ago, fans were skeptical it would ever be released. Hot Toys might have taken that notion as a challenge, because they’ve now created not one but two Chitauri figures! Hot Toys saw fit to grace us with a pair of different Thor The Dark World Hot Toys Thor figures this morning. One of them is the super-limited Hot Toys Thor Light Asgardian Armor Version that’s going sleeveless, while the other figure is this standard MMS 224 Thor sixth scale figure (with sleeves!). In general I always end up wanting the hard-to-get exclusive Hot Toys figures, but in a weird twist of fate, for a change it’s the non-limited version of this Hot Toys figure that I prefer… and this Hot Toys Thor the Dark World 1/6 scale figure is now up for order!

If you’ve been waiting with bated breath for Hot Toys to churn out an unspeakably lame exclusive, you’re in luck! I’m one of those people whose eyes Hot Toys can ordinarily do no wrong in, but even I have to admit this particular limited Hot Toys figure is pretty weak. The bad news is that I have now lost a bet and owe a friend five bucks. The good news is that the bet that I lost was my guess that the Hot Toys Amazing Spider-Man Movie Masterpiece Series figure would be delayed into 2014! After countless delays and the figure not even being shown at San Diego Comic Con 2013, I thought it was very possible the Amazing Spider-Man Hot Toys figure would fail to make it out before the end of 2013. But I was wrong–it’s taken quite a while, but the Hot Toys Amazing Spider-Man MMS 179 figure has now been released overseas!

I woke up last week to what every man dreams of–unexpected new glamor shots of a new Hot Toys Iron Man figure. Though it had made its debut at SDCC 2013 less than a week before, the Hot Toys Iron Man Silver Centurion Mark 33 Enhanced Energy Suit was already ready for its official photography session! As soon as I saw that Hot Toys had posted photos, I knew it was only a matter of time until the red and silver centurion made his presence known on Sideshow Collectibles website. The central theme of Iron Man 3 is that it is the strength, bravery and intelligence of an individual that makes them a hero–not their weapons or technology. We see this with both Tony Stark (who spends the vast majority of the movie without armor) and James Rhodes (who is far more effective outside the Iron Patriot armor than he is in it in the film). So it’s only fitting that amongst an armada of Iron Man suits, Hot Toys capture both of Robert Downey Jr.’s iconic appearances from Iron Man 3. The first Workshop Tony Stark has been up for order for months, and the new (and far cooler) Hot Toys Tony Stark the Mechanic figure is now up for pre-order!
