Sometimes Diamond Select Toys is very successful at keeping a secret, and sometimes they’re foiled by their own packaging materials! Though the Disney Store exclusive Marvel Select Superior Spider-Man figure was meant to be kept top-secret until Disney was ready to announce it, a photo of the figure was in the pamphlet that came with the most recent Marvel Select action figures. But even though the surprise was ruined, I’m still enthusiastic about this figure. The Marvel Select Superior Spider-Man figure is now officially announced and available for order!

Diamond Select Toys confirmed last week that an Amazing Spider-Man 2 Marvel Select Figure was on the way, and this week they’ve released their first photos of the upcoming Marvel Select Amazing Spider-Man 2 action figure!

While it seems very unlikely based on what we’ve heard that there will be any super-villains released for Amazing Spider-Man 2 in the Marvel Select line, at least we’ll have Spider-Man wearing a fireman hat! The Marvel Select Amazing Spider-Man 2 figure is now up for pre-order!

Well, not only has Funko done that today–they’ve also shown off the packaging for the Marvel Funko Mystery Minis, shared the rarity scale for the figures and put Marvel Mystery Minis Series 1 up for order! And if you want a complete set of Marvel Mystery Minis, be prepared to spend a lot of money buying blind boxes and hunting for the rarest figures…

Medicom MAFEX Amazing Spider-Man 2 Photos & Impressions

If you have no clue what the heck “MAFEX” is, I’ll forgive you. See, Medicom just launched the Japananese MAFEX (Miracle Action Figure EX) line of action figures in Spring 2013, and there have only been two releases in the line thus far (MAFEX #1 Amazing Spider-Man and MAFEX #2 Batman). MAFEX #3 is set to arrive a full year after its predecessors, and, well… it’s Spider-Man again. But as far as Amazing Spider-Man 2 action figures go, this MAFEX Amazing Spider-Man 2 figure is looking pretty decent… but maybe not decent enough for its price-tag…

The Funko juggernaut can’t be stopped, and today Funko officially opened pre-orders and sent out the first images of the fully-painted Spider-Man and Electro Amazing Spider-Man 2 POP Vinyls figures!

While I don’t think this duo of POP! Vinyls figures can compete with the coolness of the Guardians of the Galaxy and Winter Soldier vinyl figures we’ve seen prototypes of the past few days, I figure at least one of these two figures is a “must buy” (and I imagine you all can guess which one)…

Doctor Octopus has appeared more times in LEGO minifigure form than any other LEGO Marvel villain. So you would probably think that with there being five previous LEGO Doc Ock minifigure releases, at least one of those would have been a classic comic-inspired Doctor Octopus figure. Nope! Every single one of those LEGO Doctor Octopus (Octopi?) figures has been based on the Spider-Man 2 movie or Ultimate Spider-Man. Though full details and photos have leaked out of virtually every single LEGO 2014 winter set, LEGO has been extra-stingy with information and images of their 2014 LEGO Marvel offerings. I’ve got some confidential-stamped images (that I can’t post, for obvious reasons), but otherwise LEGO has managed to keep their LEGO Marvel 2014 intel very close to their vest.
