When Avengers Infinity War hit theaters two years ago, it introduced millions of fans to villains they were likely not very familiar with: the Black Order. The four “Children of Thanos” turned out to be a prominent and powerful force in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but the figures of the quarter were spread out over a year and very difficult for many fans to acquire. But Hasbro has come to the rescue of those collectors in need: an Amazon EXCLUSIVE Marvel Legends Children of Thanos box set containing the whole Black Order–and an updated Endgame Thanos!–is now up for order!

Earlier this weekend, I discussed the two brand new items in the latest round of Marvel Diamond Select Toys solicitations—but that pairing isn’t all that DST has up their sleeves! While we haven’t seen an actual new Marvel Select figure announced since movie Taskmaster at the start of the year (a new one is expected to be revealed next week, though), Diamond has two mass re-releases of previously hard-to-get exclusive figures: Marvel Select Planet Hulk & Modern Thanos figures are now up for order!
Continue Reading →Another “inevitable” event has transpired, as Mezco Toyz finally put their long-awaited ONE:12 Collective Thanos Figure up for order to kick off the weekend! The head sculpts on this 8″ Mezco Thanos Figure are absolutely phenomenal, and the light-up Infinity Gauntlet is a coup for a 1/12th scale figure. But the price-tag on this Mad Titan is unprecedented for a Marvel ONE:12 Collective action figure. Does this Thanos look worth its lofty price-tag?
Continue Reading →He was… inevitable! Ever since Avengers Endgame hit theaters last spring, hardcore sixth scale collectors just knew that Hot Toys wouldn’t be able to resist double-dipping with a second version of armored Thanos from the climactic movie. And after many months of teasing and speculation, the inevitable has become reality: the Hot Toys Battle Damaged Thanos with Nano Gauntlet is now up for order! The Mad Titan has a sad face and a new glove—is this the definitive version to have?

Continue Reading →Diamond Select Toys has carved out a nice little niche for themselves as purveyors of low-priced half-scale busts over the last year, with an ever-increasing variety of limited 1:2 Legends in 3D busts arriving in the market. The headlining sub-series … Continue Reading →
Bowen Designs is a company that’s been on my tongue a lot lately since we’ve seen a small resurgence of mini-busts this year and even a Sideshow Wolverine bust last week that’s basically an updated version of the original Bowen version. And this week, the ante is being raised even higher, as we’ve got what’s essentially an update of a whole Bowen Designs 1/6 Statue: the Kotobukiya Thanos on Throne Fine Arts Statue is now up for order! Is it a worthy upgrade to the one released almost a decade ago?

But they came anyway, so now let’s talk about them: the Holiday 2019 Funko Marvel POP Vinyls are now up for order, including Ugly Sweater Thanos, Snowman Captain America, and the cutest dang Baby Groot we might ever see! Will you be celebrating Christmas in July (or even sooner) with any of these holiday POPs?
Continue Reading →2018 is the year that Thanos became a household name in the mainstream, and 2019 is the year that a multitude of high-end Thanos merch has begun arriving in stores and on doorstep. But Sideshow actually beat the rush with their insanely popular Thanos on Throne Statue, which went up for sale in March 2017. And now, they’re ready to try their hand at the Mad Titan once again: the Sideshow Thanos Bust is now up for order! It’s cheap-ish and beautiful—is it worth your 300 bucks?
Continue Reading →Competition is fast and furious in the world of Marvel statues, but there’s one company who stood above all the rest when it came to resin statues for Infinity War: Iron Studios, who produced well over a dozen pieces for the movie in their value-priced 1:10 scale Battle Diorama Series! And it looks like they’re at it again for Avengers Endgame, as their first 3 statues for the movie are now up for order: Armored Thanos (in two flavors!) and the first-ever Nebula and Ronin statues!
Continue Reading →Just when it looked like Kingpin was going to slaughter the competition for most-demanded Marvel Legends Build-A-Figure of 2019, Hasbro went and announced—and released!—a figure this week that fans have been asking for ever since Infinity War! You’ll have to pick up six figures from the Avengers Legends 2019 Wave 1 series to build him, so he won’t be cheap (in fact, he’s selling for about 100 bucks alone on the aftermarket!)—is the Marvel Legends Endgame Thanos figure worth all of the hype and expense it’ll take to acquire him?
Continue Reading →Many collectors of the Bandai Tamashii S.H. Figuarts like awoke today to some rather disappointing news: the Bandai SH Figuarts Avengers Endgame figures had launched overnight on all of the usual import sites–and promptly sold out from most of them! While certain figures like Ronin and Black Widow have remained available here and there on various sites, one figure predictably sold out instantaneously across all of them. Luckily, he’s getting a U.S. release for a reasonable price: the SH Figuarts Endgame Thanos figure is now up for order online in the US!
Continue Reading →Now that the embargo on Avengers Endgame toys has lifted, the dam has burst and info on the merch for the movie is flooding in! While there’s ample news on offerings from smaller-scale lines like Marvel Legends, LEGO, Marvel Gallery and SH Figuarts, high-end collectors haven’t been forgotten! The first of what’s sure to be many MMS figures from the movie were revealed over the weekend, and the Hot Toys Endgame Thanos and Iron Man Mark 85 figures are now up for order!
Continue Reading →New York Toy Fair 2019 begins in under a week, but before I’m in NYC to check out and report on the armada of new Marvel figures and collectibles being featured there, I want to backtrack and check out some recent solicitations I haven’t touched on yet—including the final two additions to the Kotobukiya Avengers ARTFX+ Series! While the line has lost some steam due to increased prices and competition, I think there’s still some hype left for this pair: the Kotobukiya ARTFX+ Thanos and Captain Marvel statues are now up for PO!
Continue Reading →It’s become a bit of a tradition each year that an international “Best of Marvel Legends” wave gets released merging many of the difficult-to-acquire movie figures from the prior year into one big MCU wave. Hasbro has produced an intermixed wave like this every year for the past three years, and now it’s confirmed that international collectors will be getting a new Marvel Legends “Best Of” wave for 2019, featuring figures from “Avengers Infinity War” and “Ant-Man and the Wasp”! US collectors need not apply…
