While Sideshow Collectibles’ Marvel sixth scale figures line got off to a rocky start with a 1/6 Deadpool that’s still available over half a decade after going up for sale (seriously), the figures that came after him sold much better—including the Brown Costume Wolverine that swiftly sold out and escalated in value on the aftermarket. Turns out demand for Logan wasn’t met, many collectors cried out for more, and here he is: the 1/6 Sideshow Wolverine Tiger Stripe figure is now up for order!

Last month, Iron Studios debuted their mind-blowingly X-Men vs. Sentinel statue that, while amazing, 99%+ of collectors could (or would) never, ever pay ~$1800 for. But all is not lost for X-Men fans with smaller display areas (or smaller credit limits)! As prices continue to rise on large resin statues, we’re seeing a mini-resurgence of Marvel mini-busts this year with new offerings coming from Sideshow, DST and Gentle Giant. Sideshow kicked off their new line of smaller busts earlier this year with a cool Thanos, but now they’ve upped the ante with a cheaper—and more impressive—second piece: the Sideshow Wolverine Bust is now available for order! Hasbro hit collectors up with a trio of unannounced and unexpected exclusive Marvel Legends 80th Anniversary Figures this spring/summer, when they put the Marvel Legends Anti-Venom, Cowboy Logan and Big-Time Spider-Man Figures up for order! When POs opened, we had a single glam shot of each figure to make our pre-ordering decision based on. Wolverine is miles away from being one of my favorite Mutants, but he’s such a central figure on so many X-Men rosters across eras that I own dozens of figures of him. But one iteration I’ve managed to avoid owning (even in Funko Pop form!) is his original “origin” look. …At least, until now! Just when it looked like the most exciting thing to happen to me Marvel collecting-wise this week was going to be finding the new Mysterio Berry Dr. Pepper, a photo leaked online Friday afternoon of a previously unannounced Marvel Legends 80 Years figure of what appeared to be a brand new Wolverine variant.
