Way, way back in January 2017 (when Devil Dinosaurs roamed the Earth), a mysterious auction listing popped up online for a trio of unannounced, unreleased Loot Crate Exclusive Jada Metals Logan Wolverine figures. If there’s one character I never expected to see make a comeback in the modern universe, it’s the alternate future version of Wolverine: Old Man Logan. But come back Logan has, and his place in the pantheon of beloved Marvel characters is now complete as far as Hasbro is concerned, because Old Man Logan has earned himself his first-ever 6″ Marvel Legends figure! This whole wave isn’t expected to hit most retailers for another month, but Target got an early shipment and you can also snag Marvel Legends Old Man Logan for about 25 bucks on ebay. Last year, The LEGO Group (TLG) burst onto the scene with the inaugural series of bizarre LEGO Marvel Mighty Micros sets featuring superheroes and villains battling it out… in race cars. Most of us crusty old folks agreed that the ludicrous line was destined to be a spectacular failure, crashing and burning as quickly as it came. So of course the line turned out to be a huge success, containing some of the best-selling LEGO Marvel sets ever. As soon as I saw the Diamond Select Toys Marvel Gallery statues line debut at New York Toy Fair 2016, I knew DST had a future hit on their hands. 9″ Marvel PVC statues with excellent paint applications and sculpting detail at a $45 MSRP seemed like a can’t-lose investment–and thus far, the line does look to be really taking off.
