With the release of the Marvel Legends Agent Venom Walgreens exclusive action figure, all of Hasbro’s Marvel Legends 2014 action figures have now hit stores (with the exception of the Target Marvel Legends Radioactive Man three-pack). But if you’re a diehard Hasbro Marvel figure collector, Hasbro still has quite a bit in store for you this year! They’re not everyone’s cup of tea, but a new four-figure box set containing three all-new Marvel Titan Hero figures has now been released, including the first-ever 12″ Titan Hero Venom, Green Goblin and Electro figures!
Over the weekend, I discussed the first Titan Hero villain released, the Avengers Titan Hero Dr. Doom figure. Well, now Dr. Doom has some pretty famous company, as he’s joined by the Target-exclusive Spider-Man villains Venom, (Marvel’s) Electro and the Green Goblin!
Titan Hero Green Goblin and Venom are based on their classic Marvel comic book appearances, while Electro is based off of his Ultimate Electro/Amazing Spider-Man 2 Electro appearance. It’s really too bad that Hasbro opted for the “modern” Electro look in this pack, as a classic green-and-yellow spikey mask Electro figure may have actually gotten me to buy this Titan Hero set. As it is, the under-detailed Titan Hero Electro just looks like a member of the Blue Man Group to me.
Even so, I have a hunch that this may turn out to be the most popular Marvel Titan Hero set released to date, as both kids and adults love Venom and there’s no single-pack release for the Titan Heroes Venom figure announced at this time.
The Marvel Titan Hero Spider-Man vs. Villains figures box set is now available at Target stores for $34.99. At under $9 per figure, that’s not an awful price at all for four 12″ action figures (even if they’re not exactly cutting-edge). If your Target store hasn’t completed their toy aisle reset yet and doesn’t have the set out, keep checking–there’s a significantly big spot on the planogram for this Target exclusive Titan Heroes figure set.
What do you think of the new figures included in this set, Marvel collectors? Anyone out there planning on picking up this Spider-Man Villains Titan Hero exclusive box set of figures?
I noticed Target doing resets and these figures. Maybe Falcon since he rarely gets a descent figure, but as I picked up my StarWars 6inch Biker Scout it was an obvious pass on these Titan heroes.
Seen these the other day at Target. They did their mod reset and for the 1st time I actually seen Marvel Avengers Infinite figures on the shelf. Unfortunately there was only 2 left on the shelf…….guess which ones? IM and CA. Big surprise!
