Ever since I posted leaked photos from the new Funko book that was out on display at San Diego Comic-Con 2013, I’ve been wondering when and where the elusive Peter Parker Funko POP! Vinyl figure would make itself known. Well, it’s taken several months, but now we know for certain–the Funko Peter Parker POP! Vinyls Bobble-Head figure will be available exclusively at Stan Lee’s Comikazee Expo in Los Angeles, from November 1-3, 2013!

There are certain things I never thought I’d live to see, and a super-deformed vinyl figure of former Marvel Comics president Stan Lee is certainly somewhere on that list.
Or at least it was.
Thanks to ConventionExclusive.com and the Funko POP! Vinyls that they’re sponsoring, I can now cross that particular item off my list…
Continue Reading →Back in July during SDCC 2013, photos leaked out of a pair of hitherto-unannounced Marvel Funko POP! Vinyl figures: a Peter Parker POP Vinyl and a Compound Hulk POP Vinyl. We’ve gone a while with nary a word about either figure, but since both are mere repaints, it was always pretty certain that they would turn up eventually–and now, the first one has! Coming in October 2013 as a limited retailer exclusive, it’s the Funko Compound Hulk POP! Vinyl figure!
Continue Reading →We’ve known that Funko was planning a series of Thor The Dark World POP! Vinyls figures for a while now, but Funko has shrouded images of the figures in secrecy. They weren’t shown at San Diego Comic 2013, and we didn’t even know the full character assortment–until now!
Coming to stores this fall in time for the theatrical release of the Thor 2 movie, it’s the Funko Thor The Dark World POP! Vinyls Loki, Dark Elf and Thor figures!
Continue Reading →If there’s a toy company out there that I desperately want to love more than Funko, I don’t know what it is. I’ve had my share of quality control issues with the Funko POP! Vinyls figure line over the years, which has left me mostly admiring their goods from afar. But with the massive amount of cool 2013 San Diego Comic Con exclusives Funko released, I could resist no more, and picked up a trio of their con exclusive Marvel POP! Vinyls. By luck (or bad luck) of the draw, I opened the Metallic Red Hulk POP! Vinyl first…
Continue Reading →Even if you were daring enough to brave the treacherous, hours-long line to get up to the Funko booth at San Diego Comic Con 2013 today, there was a little extra treat there that most visitors missed: an all-new Funko book that debuted a lot of previously unannounced upcoming Funko POP! Vinyls.
Two of these newly-revealed figures will be of special interest to Marvel fans–it’s the Funko Marvel POP! Vinyls Peter Parker and Compound Hulk!
Continue Reading →I might have an obsession. See, once Marvel officially announced the SDCC 2013 Exclusive Funko Metallic Red Hulk POP! Vinyl figure, I became pretty fixated and seeing what they’d do to the most huggable of the Hulks. But the image Disney/Marvel sent out with the press release was just a photo of the plain Red Hulk. Thus, for the last week-plus I have been a man on a mission, with my quest being to find photographic evident of the actual Metallic Red Hulk SDCC Exclusive figure. And finally, today, my investigation turned up the first photo of the elusive POP! Vinyl Metallic Red Hulk!
Continue Reading →Earlier this week, Marvel confirmed a few more Funko 2013 San Diego Comic Con exclusives. Most we’ve known about for quite a while, but two were a big surprise: the SDCC 2013 Exclusive Marvel Funko Metallic Ghost Rider and Metallic Red Hulk POP! Vinyls. While we’re still waiting for images of Metallic Red Hulk, the first photos of Metallic Ghost Rider and James Rhodes leaked out today…
Continue Reading →When the new Marvel Funko Logan POP! Vinyl started hitting stores a few weeks ago, it quickly became apparent that Logan was a little bit different from all of his Funko Marvel POP! Vinyl brethren released the last few years.
No, the big controversy isn’t that Funko made Logan’s hair way too brown (even though they did)–it’s the fact that this Logan Funko POP! Vinyl Bobble Head isn’t a Bobble Head at all…
Continue Reading →If you read my blogs regularly, you know I’m majorly obsessive compulsive–especially when it comes to toys. It’s for that reason that I don’t buy a lot of Marvel Funko POP! Vinyls, even though I love vinyl figures and the designs that Funko comes up with. The paint apps quality control on Funko POP! Vinyls can be very hit or miss, so rather than make myself nuts, I’ll often stay away from characters I can pass on. This Inverse Deadpool Exclusive, however, was not a figure I could easily skip. Does the Funko Deadpool Inverse Variant POP! vinyl pass the QC test?
Continue Reading →Earlier this month, I posted an article about the surprise reveal of a Marvel Funko POP! Tony Stark vinyl figure being released as an exclusive at the Philippine Toy Con 2013, as well as at SDCC 2013. At that time, I speculated that Tony’s longtime comrade James Rhodes would probably be joining Tony as a San Diego Comic Con 2013 exclusive. Well, Toy Con has come and gone, and now that in-hand photos of the Marvel POP! Vinyl Tony Stark’s box exist, I can confirm that a Funko Iron Patriot Unmasked James Rhodes Vinyl will in fact be flying in for SDCC 2013 next month…
Continue Reading →At the rate we’re going, we just may know every Marvel San Diego Comic Con exclusive toy from every company within a few more days. Hot on the heels of last week’s Hasbro and Diamond Select Toys reveals, we learned about three of the Funko Marvel POP! Vinyl exclusives yesterday. And today, we can add another three 2013 SDCC Exclusive POP! Vinyls to the list: Black-And-White Variants of the Dr. Doom, Wolverine, and Spider-Man Vinyl Bobble-Head figures!
Continue Reading →If there’s one Marvel character (not named Iron Man) that’s getting plenty of merchandising love in 2013, it’s Deadpool. Funko has been particularly infatuated with Deadpool this year, as so far they have released seven variants of the Funko Deadpool POP! Vinyl figure already. And hey, once there’s that many variants, might as well throw in another and make it an even eight, right?
So coming our way next month, it’s the Funko SDCC 2013 Metallic Deadpool POP Vinyl!
Continue Reading →Another day, another San Diego Comic-Con 2013 exclusive announced! Marvel Funko POP! Vinyl collectors have really dodged a bullet this time, as it briefly appeared that one of the most wanted Marvel Movie POP! Vinyl figures ever was going to be an overseas exclusive not available in America at all.
Luckily, word has now come out that the hotly anticipated Funko POP Iron Man 3 Mark 42 Unmasked Tony Stark figure will also be available next month as a SDCC 2013 exclusive!
Continue Reading →You might think that there’s no room in my collection for anything else with all the statues, sixth-scale figures, building sets, action figures, plush toys, mini-busts, and staction figures that I buy. But actually, there’s one other brand of collecting that I’m big into: vinyl figures. I own hundreds of Disney vinyl figurines (in fact, I have a whole Vinylmation website), but I also have a couple Marvel vinyl figures. I only have a few Funko Marvel POP! Vinyls because they’ve been pretty hit-or-miss, but sometimes Funko puts out a gamma-charged blockbuster. Case in point: the just-announced Funko! Marvel Red Hulk POP! Vinyl figure…
