Having already covered my favorite character (the anthropomorphic amphibian one) in the 2021 Marvel Legends Into the Spider-Verse Stilt-Man Series, let’s move on now to the character in the wave that I was least excited about. After getting a classic comics-based Prowler Legends figure in Lizard Build-A-Figure Series in 2018, I wasn’t really sure I needed an Uncle Aaron Prowler Version from the Spider-Man Into the Spider-Verse animated film. Now that he’s arrived from Amazon, have I changed my mind?

Rumors have been a-swirlin’ all winter that Hasbro had a new Marvel Legends Maestro figure in development. Initially fans thought this evil, future Hulk might be coming in the “Bring on the Bad Guys” wave, but leaks indicated that might not be the case. And to kick off the second month of 2021, Hasbro has confirmed that (and this year’s second new ML figure)—the new deluxe Marvel Legends Maestro figure is now up for order! But while fans have been awaiting a new Maestro Hulk figure, this may not be quite the version some had in mind…

I‘ve been a big Miles fan since the character’s creation, and after a deluge of Spider-Verse styled merch for that version of Miles Morales Spider-Man, I was excited to see a fresh symbiote version. Now that I have the final product in-hand, is Maximum Venom Venomized Miles Morales a winner?
Continue Reading →If anyone needed any evidence that absolutely nobody from the Marvel Comics universe is off-the-table anymore for getting an action figure, I point to the subject of today’s review: Spider-Man Marvel Legends Frog-Man! I had hope in my heart that I could review the Fabulous Frog-Man as my first Spider-Man Marvel Legends 2021 review, and finding him by surprise before my online pre-order could arrive has made that dream a reality! Is Hasbro off to a good start with my first most-anticipated action figure of 2021?
Continue Reading →Thought we were done with Hasbro Marvel Legends reveals for the year after last week’s blockbuster Marvel Fan First Friday…? We thought wrong! After being teased in the fall, the 2021 Marvel Legends Firestar Exclusive figure has been revealed and is now up for order! And yes–she comes with Ms. Lion the dog and an animated alternate head! Is this the Firestar you always wanted, Marvel collectors?
Continue Reading →While the big hype coming out of today’s final Marvel Fan First Friday of 2020 is unquestionably pre-orders opening up for the 2021 Marvel Legends X-Men House of X Series, that doesn’t mean Hasbro didn’t have plenty of other goodness to show off during the stream! In addition to the the full reveal and pre-orders opening up for the amazing new Marvel Legends MODOK figure and an Exclusive Dusty Deadpool movie figure, we also got news on a new classic Ultron, Cannonball (with legs!!), Fallen One Silver Surfer with Mjolnir and more!
Continue Reading →Hasbro has delivered time and time again with their Marvel Fan First Friday livestreams throughout 2020, and for their final one of the year, they’ve done so once again! And now, not only has the full lineup been revealed with the just-announced Tri-Sentinel Build-A-Figure, but the Marvel Legends X-Men House of X Series of figures is now up for order!

We are living in an unprecedented era of Hasbro giving us a deeper cut of Marvel characters as action figures than has ever been seen before. As such, not every character will be to every fan’s liking. That’s how I felt about today’s review subject. While you have to buy the whole 2020 Marvel Legends Venom series to build the Venompool Build-A-Figure, I was hellbent on hating this BAF. But once I got him assembled, well… I felt a little different…
Continue Reading →I really, really miss events and conventions. Not heading to New York City for NYCC last month, not doing SDCC coverage, and knowing there won’t be a NY Toy Fair in February is a real bummer. But I have to admit—Hasbro has upped their social media game substantially, bringing us a record number of digital reveals this year! And today, we Hasbro revealed and opened pre-orders for the full Spider-Man Marvel Legends 2021 Stilt-Man series! And believe it or not, the Stilt-Man BAF isn’t the craziest thing in this wave: the Fabulous Frog-Man is legit on the way!

DAILY BUGLE NEWSFLASH! For Hasbro’s first time ever, a 6″ Marvel Legends J. Jonah Jameson figure is now up for order in the Marvel Legends Spider-Man Retro series! Spider-Man Retro J. Jonah Jameson Legends: Threat or Menace? Is this the best JJJ figure ever, and are you planning on snagging one, readers? 📰

But as fate would have it, this exclusive Marvel Legends Target pack has ended up being plentiful in many stores, leaving collectors with whether or not they want the set, rather than whether or not they can find it. And so, let’s start with a peek at the Marvel Legends Thunderbird figure…

And while I never managed to track one down at retail, the X-Men Legends Apocalypse Age of Apocalypse deluxe boxed figure I ordered from Amazon arrived this week. This may be the last AOA figure that we get from Hasbro for a while (but hopefully not forever)–does this world-conquering En Sabah Nur action figure disappoint?
Continue Reading →When Avengers Infinity War hit theaters two years ago, it introduced millions of fans to villains they were likely not very familiar with: the Black Order. The four “Children of Thanos” turned out to be a prominent and powerful force in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but the figures of the quarter were spread out over a year and very difficult for many fans to acquire. But Hasbro has come to the rescue of those collectors in need: an Amazon EXCLUSIVE Marvel Legends Children of Thanos box set containing the whole Black Order–and an updated Endgame Thanos!–is now up for order!
Continue Reading →Peter David’s X-Factor 90s run might be the first X-Men spin-off comic book series that I ever truly loved, so to say Hasbro got my attention when they started building this roster in super-articulated form would be an understatement. I was skeptical the team would come to fruition, but with Guido’s arrival this summer, 90s X-Factor is (more ore less) complete! You’ll have to buy every figure in this year’s Marvel Legends X-Force/Deadpool wave to build the Strong Guy Build-A-Figure: is he worth it?
Continue Reading →This is the first year in ages that I haven’t been travelling to New York City this fall to see Hasbro’s newest products in conjunction with New York Comic Con, but NYCC or no NYCC, Hasbro still has plenty of new Marvel goodness to reveal to us! During Hasbro PulseCon 2020 today, a variety of new collectibles were revealed–including the never-before-seen Marvel Legends Avengers GamerVerse Wave 2 Mister Fixit series that went up for order today, including Falcon, Jocasta, Kang and more!
