The last couple of years, Hasbro has laid all their NYCC cards on the table at their wild and crazy Night Before New York Comic Con parties. But this year, Hasbro is doing things a bit differently—they decided to kick off NYCC 2017 proper with a special Thursday morning media event! And what did we get to see at said event? Well, how do Marvel Legends Multiple Man and Gladiator sound to you…?

Continue Reading →In the week leading up to last wee: inaugural HasCon convention, a rumor list for the X-Men Marvel Legends 2018 series began making the rounds–a list that looked a whole lot more plausible when new Storm, Psylocke and Wolverine figures were revealed at HasCon. nd now, it looks like the rest of this series has been all but confirmed as well, as Amazon listings for a new Marvel Legends Magneto and more have now been posed online!
Continue Reading →Although I wasn’t quite sure what to expect from HasCon when it was first announced, the inaugural event turned out to be one of the more unique and focused conventions that I’ve attended. A con where the unifying element is programming and displays of most of my favorite toy brands ever? Sign me up. But even more than the reveals at the show, I was excited to come home with the HasCon Exclusive Marvel Legends X-Force Deadpool. He’s selling for $50+ on the aftermarket and goes up for order on HTS a week from today–should you get one?
Continue Reading →I was not at all sure that we’d be seeing any of the Marvel Legends 2018 X-Men series at HasCon this weekend, but at their inaugural convention, Hasbro was aiming to blow us away! And so, while we only got to see less than half of the wave, we did get to see three jaw-dropping headliners for the series: Tiger Stripe Wolverine, Mohawk Storm, and the first single-packed Hasbro Psylocke 6″ figure ever!
Continue Reading →While there weren’t any previously-unrevealed Spider-Man Marvel Legends 2018 figures on display at HasCon this morning, the five figures previously-revealed for the next wave were all present and spotlighted at the Marvel booth on the floor, including the Lizard Build-A-Figure, Gwenpool, Lasher, Spider-Punk, and my favorite: Mysterio. And at the Marvel Legends panel this evening, one more hero joined the fight: a modern Marvel Legends Spider-Woman figure!
Continue Reading →As expected, all of the Marvel Legends figures that were revealed at San Diego Comic Con 2017 are also on display at HasCon 2017 this morning. There aren’t any new figures on display yet, but we do have confirmation of alternate heads coming with two of the figures first shown at SDCC 2017: Black Panther Marvel Legends Black Bolt and Namor!
Continue Reading →We’re just one week out from the inaugural HasCon, but before Hasbro makes their HasCon reveals, they had one more figure that they wanted to show off first at FanExpo Canada in Toronto this week. Hasbro said they didn’t want to show the 2018 Marvel Legends Deadpool Series Build-A-Figure at SDCC 2017, and now we know why: it’s because he’s Canadian and wanted to make his grand debut in Toronto! The Marvel Legends Sasquatch Build-A-Figure has now been revealed!
Continue Reading →No one ever said building a new Marvel Legends Fantastic Four would be easy (or fast)! It’s been a lengthy wait since the new Marvel Legends Invisible Woman first appeared in January, but Sue Storm’s little brother has finally flamed onto store shelves in North America… in Canada (and on ebay), at least! We’ll be waiting just a wee bit longer for Johnny to reach the United States, but in the meantime, here’s some in-hand photos and impressions of the Exclusive Marvel Legends Human Torch!
Continue Reading →Had Marvel Studios not selected Hela to be the primary antagonist of Thor Ragnarok, it’s very likely we’d have never seen her gracing local retail shelves in toy from any company. Ever. But they did, and now Hela is about to become among the most recognizable Marvel female characters in the world! As such, Hasbro is releasing a non-exclusive Marvel Legends Hela figure for the very first time in the Thor Ragnarok series! Is this MCU Hela all we could have hoped for?
Continue Reading →While the upcoming MCU movie this fall may be called “Thor Ragnarok”, the characters everyone is interested in talking about are Hela, Hulk, Loki and Valkyrie, with the titular character nowhere to be found. So it’s not a big surprise that, even in his own 6″ figure series, the Marvel Legends Gladiator Thor figure is readily available for MSRP and easy as pie to find online. But while he’s not exactly a hot commodity, it turns out that this 6″ Gladiator Thor Ragnarok figure is one of best figures in the wave…
Continue Reading →I was planning on posting my review of the Hasbro Marvel Legends Gladiator Hulk Build-A-Figure over the weekend, but I was foiled by my hosting company’s incompetence causing the site to be offline for half a week. Alas. But hey, better late than never, right? The Marvel Legends Gladiator Hulk BAF is selling for $60+ all by his lonesome on the aftermarket, and was one of the most-anticipated Build-A-Figures in quite some time (and perhaps ever)–but is this Hulk worth buying six other figures to build? Let’s find out…
Continue Reading →…And we’re back! I do apologize for the downtime over the course of the past few days, as what was supposed to be a quick upgrade to a faster server turned into 100+ hours of downtime. I was so bored while this site was down, I even cranked out a review of DC Multiverse Justice League Aquaman! But luckily, now that we’re back up and running, there’s some actual new Marvel toy news to report: the Marvel Unlimited Plus 2018 Exclusive Marvel Legends Tony Stark figure has now been revealed!
Continue Reading →Sometimes figure re-releases end up being a disappointment, as the demand for a reissued figure ends up being less than the manufacturer thought and the toy ends up rotting off the pegs. This is not one of those times. Collectors have been calling out for a re-release of Marvel Legends Ares Build-A-Figure for years and paying $100+ for him in the meantime. Hasbro has heard fans’ cries and responded–with the new and improved Thor Ragnarok Marvel Legends Ares figure!
