Last week, Hasbro celebrated Wolverine’s 50th Anniversary with new 6” figures of Lady Mandarin Psylocke and Ninja Wolverine, and this week they’re opening up pre-orders for a two-pack based on another Chris Claremont Wolverine classic: Marvel Legends Patch and Joe Fixit! We’ve had figures of both these characters before, but never together—and never in their matching white tuxes from Wolverine #8! Is this another must-have two-pack?

After being reborn, mind wiped, ethnically changed and soul swapped, Betsy briefly became the Mandarin’s assassin, Lady Mandarin. (I swear it reads better than it summarizes.) Given that The Vision has now appeared in three of the highest grossing movies of all-time, a lot of collectors might expect we’d be swimming in easily obtainable classic green and yellow Vision comic book styled figures by now. But nope! That version of Vision has only appeared a couple times in his most iconic look over the past 21 years, and those 6” figures are quite expensive to track down. As one of the five original X-Men, you might think we’d see Warren Worthington III in toy form relatively close in frequency to Cyclops, Jean Grey or even Iceman. But nope! Other than Archangel versions, the last classic Angel 6” Marvel Legends figure was released way back in 2005 (by Toybiz). A whole generation has grown up without a chance to buy a 6” Angel figure! When Hasbro released their first 6” Marvel Legends Rogue figure in her 90s Jim Lee costume back in 2017, it was a pretty big deal and a hole-filler for many X-Men collectors. Flash-forward 6+ years, and we’ve had multiple X-Men Legends Rogue figures since.
