Hasbro is taking the slow approach to building the classic Guardians of the Galaxy team in Marvel Legends 6” figure form. Six years after Vance Astro made the scene in the 2017 Titus Series, he’s finally getting some backup this year in the form of a Target Exclusive Yondu figure! Is the long-awaited classic archer worth adding to your ranks? Here’s my review of the newly released Yondu…

2023 is a big year for the Avengers, who are celebrating their 60th Anniversary—and Hasbro is going big themselves with a slew of Avengers Marvel Legends 60th Anniversary figures to commemorate the occasion! There’s a bevy more 60th Anniversary Avengers … Continue Reading →
Spiral is one of those characters I could have happily gone my whole life without buying an action figure of… if she hadn’t been a playable character in the Marvel vs. Capcom video game series. Playing a few minutes of her as a mediocre character there did what decades of comic book appearances as Mojo’s lackey did not, and I knew I’d eventually indulge in a toy of her. I missed the first Target exclusive version 16 years ago, but the six-armed sorceress is back again as part of this year’s X-Men Marvel Legends Retro series! The 2023 Marvel Legends Spiral figure is shipping now—should you scoop her up in all her many-limbed glory?
Continue Reading →revealed an all-new Marvel Legends Spider-Man wave last week, but played coy by not showing the packaging or mentioning the series Build-A-Figure at all. And now it’s clear why: the 2023 Marvel Legends Spider-Man “Retro” wave is now up for pre-order, including no Build-A-Figure and a mix of vintage-styled and all-new cardback packaging for the figures!

ot is one of those classic X-Men characters that you can count on showing up every few years in a supporting role (most often in some rehashed Mojo plotline), hanging around for a short tenure and then slinking back into his off-page status quo. I don’t mind Longshot’s guest appearances, but I’ve long since given up on any lasting character development or changes to him. But even so, it’s been 17 years since Toybiz made their version of ML Longshot, so I was happy to smash the pre-order button when the Hasbro Marvel Legends 2023 Longshot went up for order. Was it a lucky purchase? Here’s my review…
Continue Reading →It’s been a long, long time coming, but Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will finally be hitting movie theaters the first week of May 2023. And that means that for the first time in 6 years, we’ll have a new Hasbro Marvel Legends Guardians of the Galaxy figures series on store shelves as well! But if you were hoping for a cheap and easy to get Cosmo the Space Dog figure, you’re barking up the wrong tree—the Guardians of the Galaxy 3 Marvel Legends series with Adam Warlock, Cosmo Build-A-Figure (!!) and more is now up for order!

And as almost always, a new Marvel movie means a new themed wave of Hasbro action figures! The Ant-Man Marvel Legends 2023 Cassie Lang series is now up for order, featuring movie Ant-Man and Wasp figures, movie Kang, some Z-List comic villains and more!
Continue Reading →When Hasbro revealed the Black Panther Wakanda Forever Marvel Legends Attuma Series figures, there was clearly something glaringly absent: the titular character of the movie—the new Black Panther. Likely for secrecy reasons, a Shuri Black Panther was not available at launch. But though she was lagging weeks behind, the MCU female Black Panther ML figure still managed to arrive while the MCU movie was in theaters. Marvel Legends The Black Panther Shuri figure is available for purchase now—should you snag one? Here’s my review…

But that doesn’t mean Hasbro wasn’t busy, as they instead announced a bunch of one-off releases (and put a few up for order), including Franklin & Valeria Richards, a new Advanced Suit PS5 Spider-Man, classic comics Yondu and more!
Continue Reading →Sometimes you’re lucky and every figure that comes with a piece of a Marvel Legends Build-A-Figure you want is a character you’d be buying a $25 toy of anyway. And sometimes… sometimes you’re forced to buy Agent Jimmy Woo. Such is the fate of collectors wanting to complete their Marvel Legends Khonshu BAF! Is it worth ordering the newly-released Disney+ Marvel Legends Jimmy Woo figure to do so…?
Continue Reading →2023 has gotten off to a slow start for Marvel Legends collectors, but Hasbro is ready to get the ball rolling today with the first pre-order of the year—which happens to be one that X-Men fans have been waiting for! Featuring some long-requested fan-favorites who have never had mass release action figures before (like Monet and Quentin Quire) and characters who are perennially in-demand (like Cyclops and Emma Frost), the 2023 Marvel Legends X-Men Series with Ch’od Build-A-Figure is now up for order!

Continue Reading →Marvel Legends Zombie Captain America was a 2021 figure that was one of my surprise favorite Hasbro releases of that year. The level of uncharacteristic goriness in a Marvel Legends 6” toy felt fresh and new, and immediately left me wanting more Marvel Zombies figures. It took a bit over a year, but Cap finally has reanimated reinforcements to munch on brains with: is the recently-released Marvel Legends Zombie Scarlet Witch a worthy undead addition to your collection?
Continue Reading →Phase 4 of the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) hasn’t exactly been every fan’s cup of tea. But one facet of the “Phase” that I found absolutely captivating was the final episode of Loki Season 1. And now, the ultimate antagonist of that Disney+ (and sort of the next several years of Marvel movies) makes his chilling presence known in toy form: Marvel Legends He-Who-Remains is now beginning to ship out! Is this timeless villain worthy of joining your action figure collection?
Continue Reading →Hasbro promised a strong showing of Heralds to coincide with the release of the mega-sized Haslab Galactus figure this year, and (as long as your favorite herald of Galactus isn’t named Air Walker or Golden Oldie) Hasbro has come through in spades with a new Terrax, the awesome Herald Thor and more—including the subject of today’s review! Retro Marvel Legends Firelord is a long, long overdue addition to the Marvel Legends pantheon—but after 20 years of waiting, is this figure all it could be?
Continue Reading →At this point, Hasbro has updated many more Toybiz Marvel Legends figures with their own versions than there are Toybiz ML that haven’t been re-done. But with the subject of today’s review, Hasbro is going for broke by updating a Toybiz figure, doing a new version of a character we’ve seen many times, and also covering a never-before-done character! The Marvel Legends Howard the Duck figure (with Scott Lang head and Khonshu BAF torso) is now beginning to ship out early! Is this unorthodox sorta-three-pack a worthwhile pickup?
