Having owned a copious number of Toybiz Marvel figures as a kid in the 90s makes me exactly the demographic that MONDO is targeting with their popular Marvel 1/6 figure lines. They’ve successfully sold me a half-dozen-plus X-Men 92 figures, and now they’ve moved on to the Spider-Verse: the 1/6 MONDO Spider-Man Animated Series Spidey and Venom figures are currently up for order!

With McFarlane Toys being the primary producer of DC Comics figures these days, it definitely came as a bit of a shock when it was announced a few months back that McFarlane Toys Marvel figures were on the way as well! Fully revealed this week, McFarlane Marvel pre-posed 1/6 and 1/10 figures are now up for order! Let’s have a peek and see what this new line is all about…

There’s no Marvel Select or Marvel Gallery figure this month (a rarity), but we do get an all-new trio of resin sculptures: the Marvel Animated Deadpool Jumping statue and Moon Knight/Iron Spider mini busts are now up for order!
Continue Reading →Being a total fanboy for the Skottie Young Marvel Animated statues series by Diamond Select Toys isn’t exactly one of my best-kept secrets, so I was delighted this winter to finish off a team in the line for the very first time. While the Fantastic Four is coming in fast, the FF were beaten to the team-completion punch by one of the zaniest teams in the Marvel Universe, the Guardians of the Galaxy. The Marvel Animated Drax statue is shipping now and completes the movie roster. Here’s my review…

Their successful Marvel Gallery statues lineup has been expanding rapidly over time, including more and more X-Men joining the series over the last year. Continue Reading →LEGO Marvel sets have certainly fallen a tad in popularity and sales at mass retail over the last few years, with fewer major widely-distributed sets arriving in the biannual drops and more expensive sets (like last year’s $500 Avengers Tower) being released solely as more limited exclusives. But that doesn’t mean The LEGO Group (TLG) is throwing in the towel! In fact, the January 2024 LEGO Marvel sets that have just been released include 3 major sets including a brick-built Rocket Raccoon, X-Men Blackbird Jet and Spider-Man No Way Home Sandman Final Battle!
Continue Reading →Sentinels being giant freaking killer robots is a bit of a double-edged sword when it comes to merch, as every X-Men fan wants one or more—but, well, they’re -giant- freaking robots. And “giant” in the collectibles world is often synonymous with “expensive”. But Hasbro has a clever solution to that accessibility roadblock in their bag of tricks: the low-priced, low-detailed and low-articulated Marvel Titan Hero Series of oversized figures! And so, for the first time in decades, you can order a foot-tall-plus Sentinel for under 30 bucks! Is the X-Men 97 Sentinel Titan Hero figure the value-priced mutant-hunting robot army-builders have been dreaming of?
Continue Reading →LEGO Marvel has gone through a bit of a cold spell for me, with none of the theme’s recent sets lighting my heart ablaze. But The LEGO Group (TLG) knows how to win back lapsed fans—with new blind box Minifigures! And so, two years after the first set 71039 LEGO Marvel Minifigures Series 2 is on the way—and this time, there are X-Men (plus Moon Knight, She-Hulk and more)!

There was still no firm premiere date announced at SDCC 2023, but at least we know the series will arrive in the near-ish future. And new show means new toys! In fact, the first X-Men 97 toys have already started shipping, including this 4” X-Men 97 Epic Hero Series Rogue figure I ordered to review…
