Though the number of figures being released per year is a fraction of what there once was and the selection at the Disney Parks is down to almost nothing, Disney Vinylmation is still alive and puttering along!
And following up the successful release of the Vinylmation Spider-Man series last winter, the all-new Disney Vinylmation Marvel Series 3 figures will be arriving this week! Mickey-shaped Daredevil and Moon Knight, anyone…?

I collect a few lines of anime figures, so I’ve been watching the Tamashii Nation 2015 event with a lot of interest for those lines. What I don’t imagine anyone was expecting to see at the show, however, was the bombshell dropped by Bandai Japan: the continuation of the SH Figuarts Avengers figures line!

Ordinarily there’s just about nothing on Earth that could make me happy to rebuy Blu Ray movies that I already own. The Hasbro Marvel Titan Hero series of value-priced figures got off to a roaring start in 2015, releasing loads of electronic figures, new characters and even characters from the Avengers: Age of Ultron movie. The second half of the year has been a mite slow for the Titan Heroes range, however, with very few new toys hitting shelves (although the Titan Hero Vision is finally getting into decent circulation and Black Widow is rumored). But finally one more big release for 2015 has arrived–and I do mean big! It’s the mega-sized, 18″ Hulkbuster Armor Titan Hero!

Because Comicave had products at NYCC not only on display–but for sale at the show–that I thought would never see the light of day: the 1/4 and 1/12 Super Alloy Iron Man figures live again!

I have a pretty wide range of collecting interests, and as such, I’m always pretty pumped when two things that I collect interesect in an unexpected way. I’ve been playing the ultra-popular Disney Tsum Tsum mobile game on-and-off for about a year now, and picking-and-choosing random Tsum Tsum plush along the way. But next month’s new set will be an instant buy all-around: because it’s the first-ever Marvel Tsum Tsum plush series!

Although most of the core movie Avengers became immortalized as Figma figures in 2014, one of the four characters originally shown off for the line a few years ago simply did not materialize.
But following up on Bandai releasing their SH Figuarts Hulk and NECA finally debuting their 1/4 Hulk, Max Factory is finally ready to get in on the Jade Giant action as well: the imported Figma Hulk figure is now up for order!

Earlier this month, Bandai opened up pre-orders for their web-exclusive S.H. Figuarts Ultron action figure. But Bandai Tamashii isn’t the only overseas company looking to make bank on an action figure of the lead villain of the Avengers: Age of Ultron movie. Up until now, the extent of Kaiyodo’s Marvel offerings has been a multitude of Revoltech Iron Man figures–but that’s going to change this winter when the Revoltech Ultron figure is unleashed!

Way back at San Diego Comic-Con 2015 (you know–two months ago), Diamond Select Toys announced that they were reentering the Marvel statue business with their revived line of Clayburn Moore Marvel Premier Collection statues! The line kicked off with a Wolverine statue that didn’t receive the warmest reception from some collectors, but the second release in the line is a statue fans have been demanding for a decade: the long-lost Silver Age Thor statue by Clayburn Moore is now up for order!

At this point, Iron Man has literally appeared in virtually every single toy line by every Marvel licensee. Believe it or not, there are still a few holdouts out there, though! Amidst hundreds of new collectibles on display at San Diego Comic-Con 2015 last month, I know one absence that really bummed out a lot of Marvel collectors was that of any never-before-seen Marvel Select figures (as we’d already seen all of the figures coming from that line for 2015). One month ago at San Diego Comic-Con 2015, Square-Enix gave fans their first glimpse at two new Marvel Play Arts Kai variant figures: the Black Widow we saw painted photos a few weeks ago, and an armored Captain America that painted images of were just revealed this week. I’d been wondering which of the two Avengers was going to be the next to go up for order, and today I got the answer I’d been waiting for: BOTH!
