Marvel Legends x Magic Wave 2 Up for Order! Doom 2099! Malice!

Marvel Legends Magic the Gathering series 1 was a bit of an odd duck last year, with collectors decrying the high price point, but pre-orders selling out instantly for the most part. Marvel Legends MtG seems to be a real hit, so it’s no surprise Hasbro is going back to the well—and this time, with a less Spidey-centric lineup! Including highly requested figures such as Doom 2099 and Malice, the 2026 Marvel Legends Magic the Gathering wave is now up for order!

Marvel Legends Doom 2099 Magic the Gathering Figure with Card Packaged in Box

Marvel Legends Doom 2099 is a highlight of this wave for most fans, as it’s a really cool design coming at exactly the right moment to capitalize on Doomsday and capture sales.
I don’t play card games and I don’t like the inflated price for the ML x MtG series, but this is a release I’m going to need regardless. Nice choice, Hasbro. I’m glad this figure isn’t going to be an exclusive.

Marvel Legends Doom 2099 Magic the Gathering Figure and AccessoriesWith Doom 2099 following on the heels of Hulk 2099 and many Spider-Man 2099 releases, I think we now have the core trio of viable 2099 characters in 6” figure form. Bloodstream from X-Men 2099 might be neat, but I’m not sure the market demand is really there for him or any other remaining character from the 2099 imprint.

Marvel Legends Magic the Gathering Wave 2 Malice Sue Storm Figure Exclusive in BoxThe other figure from this wave I’m itching for is a character I never thought we’d see in toy form, evil Sue Storm as Malice. I’ve been keen on possessed Invisible Woman since the classic episode with her in the mid 90s Fantastic Four cartoon, and it’s a bit surreal to finally get a Malice action figure after all these years.

Malice Marvel Legends Magic MtG Exclusive Figure and AccessoriesMarvel Legends Malice is a Fan Channel exclusive, so she won’t be available via Target/Walmart. That’s likely the correct decision, as dark Sue in her dominatrix-looking attire is probably too niche for mass retail.

Marvel Legends Magic MtG Captain America Twilight Figure Packaged in BoxTwilight Captain America is easily the figure I have the least interest in in this set, which is a shame since he’s one of the two mass release non-exclusives in it. I am a Chip Zdarsky fan, but I wasn’t inspired by the issues of his 2024 Avengers Twilight that I read and I admittedly have not finished it.

Twilight Captain America Marvel Legends Magic Wave 2 Figure and AccessoriesThe story-specific Twilight Captain America here isn’t something I need, and I think that’s okay at the lofty price point. This is a Steve Rogers Captain America figure coming out in a period where Chris Evans is returning to screens and Cap hype will be high, so I think this will fare A-OK at retail.

Amazon Exclusive Black Panther Marvel Legends Magic the Gathering Figure in Box with CardFinally, we’ve got a comic book-styled Black Panther figure. I believe this one is based off the mid-2010s Hickman era Avengers, although I haven’t heard that said or labeled specifically.

Black Panther Marvel Legends Magic the Gathering Figure and AccessoriesWe get less comic-based T’Challa action figures than many would expect, and I really appreciate the half-masked alternate head for this one. The grey gloves look great and I adore the comic-faithful Infinity Gauntlet. This release is an Amazon exclusive in the US, which seems outlandish for such a significant character.

2026 Marvel Legends Magic the Gathering Wave 2 FiguresMarvel Legends Magic the Gathering Wave 2 is now up for order and arriving this fall. Just as Wave 1 was a hot commodity besides Star-God Man-Wolf, I think this set will be hard to come by beyond Captain America (Twilight). Absolutely reserve Black Panther and Malice early if you want them is my advice on this crossover series. Doom 2099 might even prove to be a fast seller.

Are you happy to see the Magic Marvel Legends line continue, Marvel collectors? Are you using your exclusive MtG cards from these releases, selling them to get back some bucks or leaving them mint in the package permanently?
