Gentle Giant Ltd. has been showing Wolverine fans some real love in the first half of 2018, with two new Collectors Gallery statues already solicited for pre-order and last year’s PGM Exclusive Old Man Logan bust shipping soon. But if that’s not enough Logan for you, you’re in luck—a Gentle Giant Marvel Animated Wolverine Statue and a 1/8 Old Man Logan are now up for order!

Believe it or not, not only has Gentle Giant already previously had seventeen Skottie Young Marvel Babies-inspired Marvel Animated statues solicited—but only one of those characters was X-Men related (and that was a villain: Magneto)!

But have no fear, X-fans: your day in the Marvel Animated sun has finally arrived! Almost certainly the most-requested character to not already have their own Marvel Animated Statue is finally coming: Marvel Animated Wolverine.

This is an especially well-timed announcement right now, as Marvel Babies Wolverine is actually appearing in the new ongoing Exiles comic book. I don’t imagine that’s what Gentle Giant has been holding onto Lil’ Wolvey for, but it’s serendipitous nonetheless!

The stylization on this Wolverine Animated Statue is totally wacky and fun. His hunched-over pose, open mouth and black-blue paint deco are all cool and unique-looking. I think this is going to be one of the better-selling pieces in this line that we’ve seen to-date!

Little Wolvey isn’t coming alone at the end of this year, though: he’s got company from his realistically-styled grizzled future self! For the third consecutive time, the newest Marvel Collector’s Gallery pre-order is a Wolverine—and this time it’s his most recent iconic look: Old Man Logan.

As usual for this lineup, this 1/8 Statue will be made of resin, features real metal claws (that look incredible), and stands around 8” tall.

While I know some collectors are a wee bit disgruntled and feeling grumpy about Gentle Giant releasing four Wolverine statues in the same pose, I saw the quartet when it debuted at Toy Fair and was highly impressed with how classy the full lineup looks.

With his grey hair and trench coat, Old Man Logan is obviously the most distinctive of the four Wolverines in the series. While OML’s time in the Marvel Universe comics is likely coming to a close soon, at least he’ll have a pretty terrific new resin statue as a sendoff.

The Gentle Giant Old Man Logan and Animated Wolverine statues are now up for order, and are scheduled to ship out in Q4 2018. Gentle Giant has been pretty punctual getting out their pieces in these lines on-time, so I think it’s likely we’ll have these ready in time to pop under our Christmas trees this winter.
