If some hoodlum ever stopped me on the street and demanded at gunpoint to know what my favorite line was that I saw among the hundreds of new toys at the 2015 Toy Fair in February, I’d be able to answer without much thought all all: Funko Hikari. And while most of the Hikari at the show that caught my eye were Star Wars-themed, a whole assortment of Hulks debuted there as well. I’m very fond of Marvel Toy News’ track record of only having reported news that’s ended up being 100% true since the site’s inception, so I tend to err on the side of caution with what gets reported here. As such, when a totally unannounced Marvel Legends 5-Pack consisting entirely of old molds turned up in an auction listing–on April Fools’ Day–I hesitated to report it. But as it turns out, looks like I’m the fool–Hasbro has now confirmed that this European Disney Store Exclusive Marvel Legends 5-Pack is the real deal!

The Cavalry has arrived!! Heading into New York Toy Fair 2015 this weekend, I didn’t have a lot of hope for seeing many new Marvel POP! Vinyls, as Funko just revealed eight Funko Avengers Age of Ultron POP Vinyls last month. And on my first visit to the Funko booth at NY Toy Fair 2015, the only new item I saw was the Deadpool Chimichanga Truck. But once I flipped through the catalog at my hotel, I realized one more new Marvel POP! was at the show: the Funko Melinda May from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.!

The year is off to a controversial start for the long-running Hasbro Marvel Infinite Series (AKA Marvel Universe) toy line, as prices for the line are at an all-time high and articulation has been reduced to an all-time low. That said, the first wave of 2015 Marvel Infinite Series had some strong figures in it, and based off the case ratios and prototypes, the next wave will have some hot characters in it as well. Well, there’s no doubt about it. In 2015, more than ever before, Hot Toys has decided to wage all-out war this year on collectors’ wallets! Eight Hot Toys Avengers Age of Ultron figures are already up for order without the movie even being in theaters yet, and it doesn’t look like Hot Toys is planning to slow down any time soon! The king of exclusive figures is at it once again! This week, photos leaked out of the Phillipines of a variety of announced–and unannounced–exclusive Funko POP Vinyls figures scheduled to be released this spring. Some of these are figures that we had heard rumors of, and some of them are totally unexpected. While Funko has traditionally kept their comic book movie lines of POP Vinyl figures reasonably small, after the runaway success of last year’s Guardians of the Galaxy POP! Vinyls, Funko has started to think big! As such, even though the movie isn’t even out yet, Funko already has twelve Avengers Age of Ultron POP Vinyls figures either already in stores or on the way! Now that we’re less than one month out from the theatrical release of “Avengers: Age of Ultron”, we’ve seen pretty clear looks at every character design from the movie that isn’t top-secret. Well, every character design except one–until now!
