The K-Mart website is one of my favorite sources for obtaining early images of new LEGO sets for my LEGO blog, so them posting new toy photos early (and often before they’re allowed to do so) is nothing new. Wow, the hits keep right on coming from Diamond Select Toys today! Earlier today I heard about the refresh of their sold-out and popular Marvel Select Arachne figure coming back to stores next year, but further news indicates that she won’t be coming alone! I griped an awful lot last month when Diamond Select Toys announced that they were reissued the Marvel Select Spider-Woman figure. I complained that it didn’t make sense to re-release the Jessica Drew Spider-Woman Marvel Select action figure (as that figure typically sells below its original cost on the aftermarket), when they should have reissued the more valuable Julia Carpenter Spider-Woman II Marvel Select figure. Well, it seems I was just a bit hasty, as the Marvel Select Arachne variant action figure is heading back to stores in 2014!

Doctor Octopus has appeared more times in LEGO minifigure form than any other LEGO Marvel villain. So you would probably think that with there being five previous LEGO Doc Ock minifigure releases, at least one of those would have been a classic comic-inspired Doctor Octopus figure. Nope! When I first heard about the Hot Toys Rose Hill Tony Stark figure a week or so ago–no lie–I thought it was a joke. No, seriously–I thought it was a joke. Though full details and photos have leaked out of virtually every single LEGO 2014 winter set, LEGO has been extra-stingy with information and images of their 2014 LEGO Marvel offerings. I’ve got some confidential-stamped images (that I can’t post, for obvious reasons), but otherwise LEGO has managed to keep their LEGO Marvel 2014 intel very close to their vest.
