Heroclix Shuma-Gorath with Moveable Eye Figure

I don’t just like Shuma Gorath. I love Shuma Gorath. No, seriously. How much do I love Shuma Gorath? I mained Shuma Gorath in every Capcom video game he’s appeared in, including Marvel vs. Capcom 3. In fact, I am wearing a Shuma Gorath T-Shirt right now, even though I had no conception whatsoever that I’d be writing about Shuma Gorath today (as the opportunity to do so has literally never come up before). Anyway, my point is that I love Shuma-Gorath, and the relevance of that fact is that I just ordered my first Shuma Gorath figure ever this afternoon–the Heroclix Shuma Gorath 2013 Convention Exclusive figure!

Marvel Legends Thunderbolts Punisher Variant Figure 2013

After the unexpected announcement of the SDCC 2013 Thunderbolts Marvel Legends box set exclusives, I sort of doubted I’d be hearing anything else about Marvel’s Thunderbolts any time soon. Turns out I was mistaken, though, as the very next Hasbro 6″ Marvel Legends 2013 figure to be revealed appears to be another Thunderbolts figure–but from a different iteration of the Thunderbolts entirely. To the surprise of absolutely everyone, it’s… a Marvel Legends Thunderbolts Punisher Variant…?!

X-Force Psylocke Bishoujo Statue Announced for December 2013!

Posted on by June 17, 2013
X-Force Psylocke Bishoujo Statue Kotobukiya Marvel Figure

Kotobukiya has a real treat lined up to close out the 2013 lineup of Marvel Bishoujo statues: an all-new X-Force Psylocke Bishoujo statue! While Kotobukiya has released Psylocke before, the original Psylocke statue is 1:8 scale and out of scale with the current Bishoujo figures being released (not to mention mega-expensive). But Kotobukiya has heard the demand for a new and properly scaled Marvel Bishoujo Psylocke loud and clear–and she’s coming our way in December 2013!

Marvel Select Silver Surfer Figure Diamond Select Toys

Though he’s had a very limited presence in recent years in the Marvel comics (and even less prominence in merchandise), the legendary herald of Galactus–the Silver Surfer–remains one of the more iconic and recognizable characters in Marvel history.

So it’s not exactly a shocker that for their last Marvel Select action figure of 2013, Diamond Select Toys has decided to immortalize the Silver Surfer with a 7″ Marvel Select Silver Surfer figure!

Disney Vinylmation Marvel Series 1 Blind Box Figure Assortment

It’s been talked-about literally since the day that Disney purchased Marvel in 2009, but I genuinely never thought it was going to happen. After years of rumors and speculation that didn’t pan out, something Disney collectors have long pined for is going to come to fruition. Coming later in 2013–the first-ever series of Marvel Vinylmation vinyl figures–the Disney Vinylmation Marvel Series #1 featuring The Avengers!

Wolverine Legends Marvel Legends Rogue and Emma Frost Action Figures

Some startling news for Hasbro 6″ Marvel Legends collectors was discovered in the Toys section of the new July 2013 Previews Magazine (Issue 298). In what I believe is a first for Hasbro’s Marvel brand, the Wolverine Legends Marvel Legends series is apparently going to be a Previews exclusive.

That might sound scary at first. But don’t panic. That’s not necessarily a bad thing…

Gentle Giant Spider-Man Red & Blue Mini Bust Announced!

Gentle Giant Marvel Busts Spider-Man Red and Blue Bust 2013

If you’re going to have a Marvel collection of pretty much any sort, you’re going to need a Spider-Man in that collection. That’s a fact. And so it seems very odd that among the most integral characters missing from the Gentle Giant Marvel Mini Bust line has been a Spider-Man bust in his classic red and blue costume. Luckily, Gentle Giant Ltd. is about to rectify that, as their all-new red & blue Spider-Man mini-bust has just been fully revealed and put up for order!

Funko SDCC 2013 POP Vinyl Deadpool Metallic Exclusive Figure

If there’s one Marvel character (not named Iron Man) that’s getting plenty of merchandising love in 2013, it’s Deadpool. Funko has been particularly infatuated with Deadpool this year, as so far they have released seven variants of the Funko Deadpool POP! Vinyl figure already. And hey, once there’s that many variants, might as well throw in another and make it an even eight, right?

So coming our way next month, it’s the Funko SDCC 2013 Metallic Deadpool POP Vinyl!

Another day, another San Diego Comic-Con 2013 exclusive announced! Marvel Funko POP! SDCC 2013 Exclusive Marvel Minimates The Wolverine Saga Set

I thought that we were done with Marvel SDCC 2013 exclusive announcements for the week, but clearly Diamond Select Toys had other ideas! There’s not usually a San Diego Comic-Con exclusive Marvel Select action figure, so I wasn’t expecting to see a SDCC Marvel Select Exclusive–and there’s not one. What we do always get like clockwork for Comic-Con season is exclusive Marvel Minimates, though–and the first such set for this year has been revealed: the SDCC 2013 Exclusive Wolverine Saga Minimates box set!
