Hasbro’s Marvel Universe (now Marvel Infinite Series) 4″ action figure line is famous for giving us hundreds of action figures from across the Marvel Universe, including numerous versions of iconic characters, beloved fan-favorites… and characters that 99.9% of the free world has never heard of. The subject of today’s review is of the latter group. He’s easily the most obscure character Hasbro has released this year, and you can buy him now for MSRP or below online–it’s the Marvel Infinite Series Korg figure!

While it hasn’t exactly been getting the ludicrous amount of hype that other movies coming out in the near future (*cough* Star Wars *cough*) are, there’s a superhero movie hitting theaters in just over three months called “Deadpool”. And while there won’t be a plethora of Deadpool toys at mass retail when the movie does drop, Hasbro has lined up at least one new(-ish) figure for fans to chase after: the Marvel Infinite Series Deadpool figure mold is an oldie, but is it still a goodie…?
Continue Reading →Over the weekend I posted my review of one of the three “make-good” figures included in the final wave of Hasbro Marvel Infinite Series 3 3/4″ figures: Emma Frost. I was mostly satisfied with that figure of the White Queen, but even so, one of the other Marvel Universe leftovers has stolen Emma’s thunder, in my opinion! I almost didn’t order the Marvel Infinite Series Juggernaut Colossus figure, as I wasn’t sure I needed a toy of this character. I was so, so wrong… this just may be my favorite 4″ Marvel figure of 2015!
Continue Reading →As soon as Hasbro confirmed the lineup for the final wave of Marvel Infinite Series 3 3/4″ figures, I instantly knew which character fans were going to be salivating for most.
Though she was scrapped at the tail end of the Marvel Universe line, she made it in just in time for the end of this one! She’s already selling around $20 online, but is this Marvel Infinite Series Emma Frost 4″ figure a diamond like its namesake can turn into…?
Continue Reading →One of the surprise “hot” Hasbro figures of 2015 has been the 6″ Marvel Legends Chameleon figure from the second Spider-Man wave of the year. Given how well-received by collectors and difficult to find in stores that figure is, I had high expectations for the Marvel Infinite Series Chameleon 4″ figure and immediately bust it open when I received my 2015 Marvel Infinite Series Wave 3 set from EE. Unfortunately, despite how “right” the Marvel Legends version was, this Chameleon figure is a bit of a dud in comparison…
Continue Reading →Over the weekend, I decided to take some time to discuss the revival of Hasbro Marvel Comic Packs coming up in 2016. But of course, those two-packs won’t be the only 4″ Marvel Infinite Series figures coming our way this winter!
The successor to the Marvel Universe line rolls on next year, with six figures each in Marvel Infinite Series 2016 Wave 1 and Wave 2… and, oh yeah: Lockjaw is coming!
Continue Reading →There’s been a definite lack of Marvel toy news over the last several days, which I imagine has something to do with this “Star Wars” thing that every toy company seems to be all excited about right now. And so, while there’s nothing new to talk about, per se, I think I will take this opportunity to go back and talk about something I skipped discussing in my San Diego Comic-Con 2015 coverage: the first twelve Marvel Infinite Series 2016 figures comprising Comic Packs Series 1 and Series 2… including Lady Thor and Falcon Captain America!
Continue Reading →Hasbro has been pretty stingy regarding specific release details for the upcoming 3.75″ Marvel Infinite Series waves this year, leading a lot of collectors to wonder if something is up with the line. But it appears that things are back on track following the summer deluge of Marvel Legends and Avengers: Age of Ultron series figures, as the 2015 Marvel Infinite Series Wave 3 figures are finally up for order! And not only are there six new figures up for order, but three of them are ones collectors have been waiting for literally for years: Northstar, Juggernaut Colossus and Emma Frost!
Continue Reading →I’m very fond of Marvel Toy News’ track record of only having reported news that’s ended up being 100% true since the site’s inception, so I tend to err on the side of caution with what gets reported here. As such, when a totally unannounced Marvel Legends 5-Pack consisting entirely of old molds turned up in an auction listing–on April Fools’ Day–I hesitated to report it. But as it turns out, looks like I’m the fool–Hasbro has now confirmed that this European Disney Store Exclusive Marvel Legends 5-Pack is the real deal!
Continue Reading →The year is off to a controversial start for the long-running Hasbro Marvel Infinite Series (AKA Marvel Universe) toy line, as prices for the line are at an all-time high and articulation has been reduced to an all-time low. That said, the first wave of 2015 Marvel Infinite Series had some strong figures in it, and based off the case ratios and prototypes, the next wave will have some hot characters in it as well. Marvel Infinite Series Wave 7–including Shanna the She-Devil and the Vulture–is now up for order!
Continue Reading →Yesterday I kicked off my series of reviews of the Marvel Legends Avengers Wave 1 figures with my Marvel Legends Machine Man review, but I thought I’d shake things up a bit today by jumping straight to the Build-A-Figure… or rather, Build-A-Figures!
The identity of the Allfather varies depending upon the time period in the Marvel Universe you’re reading about, but now you can pick from two for your display: it’s the Marvel Legends Odin Review (and King Thor Review)!
Continue Reading →During the entire time that I’ve been running Marvel Toy News, I’ve never seen Marvel collectors quite so hyped up and excited for a new wave of action figures as they are for the 2015 Marvel Legends Avengers Wave 1 figures. Because of the fact that all of the figures in this series are one-per-case except Hawkeye, fans not wanting to order a whole case have had to wait and rely on finding the figures in stores. But no longer–most of the Marvel Legends 2015 Avengers Wave 1 figures are now available individually on Amazon!
Continue Reading →What’s that? The 2015 Marvel Legends Avengers Wave 1 and Wave 2 sets with Odin and Thanos Build-A-Figures haven’t even hit stores in the U.S. yet, but you’re already pining away for news regarding more upcoming Hasbro Marvel Legends 6″ figures? Well, ask and you shall receive. As a Funko collector, I’m pretty used to seeing Barnes and Noble leak upcoming figures months before Funko can announce them. And this time, B&N has turned its sights to Hasbro, leaking a list of potential Marvel Legends 2015 figures including Blizzard, Dr. Strange, Valkyrie and more!
Continue Reading →When the hi-res images of the long-awaited Hasbro Marvel Infinite Series 2015 Wave 1 4″ figures finally appeared last night, I knew that the time was nearly upon us. And less than 24 hours later, it has arrived–the 2015 Marvel Infinite Series Wave 1 figures are now up for order! Are the case ratios all they’re cracked up to be? And did someone say “price increase”?
Continue Reading →Hasbro is obviously very high on their new 2.5″ scale of Marvel action figures, as evidenced by the fact that it was the main scale for their Guardians of the Galaxy and Avengers: Age of Ultron movie toys. But even though Hasbro is enamored with this new, smaller scale, that doesn’t mean that they’ve totally abandoned Marvel Universe/Marvel Infinite Series collectors to the cold, hard world! Hasbro has a full series of eight 3 3/4″ Marvel Infinite Series 2015 figures scheduled to come out early this year! Although, the style is a little bit “different” than what we’ve come to expect…
