When it comes to action figures, army-builders are pretty much the gift that keeps on giving to toy companies. After all, rather than producing one unique character that most collectors will purchase a singular time, an army-builder will often be purchased multiple times with no more development expenses than a unique character. That’s why companies have seized on a special opportunity brought about by Avengers Endgame. And now, Bandai is getting in on that action—the Bandai SH Figuarts Avengers Endgame “Cap vs Cap” Captain America is now up for order in the US!

The last month and a half have been some of the slowest for Marvel toy news and releases that I can remember in the last decade—but while the pandemic is still going strong, companies have finally started rolling out some new items for pre-order over the course of the last week! I’ll be catching up on discussing those this weekend, and I wanted to start with a figure I wasn’t sure would ever get released at all! While it’s a limited and expensive exclusive overseas, the SH Figuarts Loki figure is now up for order in the US for a decent price as well!
Continue Reading →SH Figuarts collectors who have been waiting patiently (or impatiently!) to order the hotly-demanded Avengers Endgame Final Battle SH Figuarts figures need not wait anymore–all three figures are now up for order in the United States with free shipping!
Continue Reading →After starting out in the US with just a few Iron Man armors, the Bandai SH Figuarts Marvel line distributed by Bluefin has exploded into of the most popular collector-focused Marvel toy lines available in the United States. But oddly enough, one character that’s never been released before in the US happens to be an armor permutation himself. But no longer: the SH Figuarts War Machine Infinity War figure is now up order in the US—and you won’t even have to buy an expensive Hall of Armor pod to get him!
Continue Reading →Believe it or not, despite the fact that Bandai Tamashii has released well over a dozen S.H. Figuarts Iron Man figures, they’ve never released the iconic Mark 7 armor from the first Avengers movie—at least, not until now! The SH Figuarts Iron Man Mark VII figure with Hall of Armor diorama is now up for order in the United States! And Bandai also has another beloved variant costume coming our way in a bit more wacky fashion—Black Ninja Spider-Man is on the way!
Continue Reading →Ever since he made his debut as the Winter Soldier in 2014, collectors have been dreaming of an SH Figuarts Bucky figure to pose alongside their Figuarts Captain America. We didn’t get one for The Winter Soldier, nor did we get the one Bandai teased for Civil War. But third time may be the charm: as part of the Avengers Infinity War series, an SH Figuarts Winter Soldier Bucky Barnes 6” figure is now up for order! However, is this the perfect Marvel Legends scale Bucky fans have been hoping for…?
Continue Reading →Avengers Infinity War merch is off to a hot start following the official launch over the weekend, with initial shipments of the Infinity War Marvel Legends selling out in many areas. But now, a new player is entering the Avengers 3 game domestically: the Bandai SH Figuarts Infinity War figures are now available for order in the U.S.! As usual, most are priced a bit expensive because of license restrictions, but the price on Thanos isn’t half bad…

Among them were the Bandai Samurai Deadpool figure that I suspected we’d be seeing soon after spotting the concept art at NYCC 2017, as well as something totally out of left field—MAFEX Gwenpool!
Continue Reading →As anticipated, Bandai Tamashii Nations brought along their four previously-solicited Marvel Manga Realization Samurai figures to New York Comic Con 2017 (even the poor Samurai Spider-Man that’s 40% off online). What was not anticipated—at all—however, was that Bandai would be bringing “Approval Pending” designs of five more characters for the Manga Realization line: including Hulk, Wolverine, Deadpool and more!
Continue Reading →Traditionally, Bandai S.H. Figuarts Marvel figures haven’t had a presence at New York Comic Con (since prior to last year, Bandai didn’t have a license to sell Marvel figures in the United States at all). But things are different now from how they’ve been historically, and Bluefin Distibution brought along all of the upcoming U.S. Marvel Figuarts that are on the way—including the world premiere of Thor Ragnarok Figuarts Gladiator Hulk and Thor!
Continue Reading →From the company who brought you Iron Man Mark II, Mark III, Mark V, Mark VI, Mark VII… and many many more Marks… here comes the numbering sequence gap-filling Iron Man Mark IV! To the shock of no one anywhere, Bandai Tamashii is releasing an S.H. Figuarts Iron Man Mark IV, which is now up for order in the US! But he won’t be arriving alone next year—Samurai War Machine (you read that right) is on the way as well!
Continue Reading →Oftentimes when Bandai Japan shows off a figure and then goes silent on that figure for many months, it means that figure has been silently cancelled. I genuinely expected that to be the case with the bizarre Manga Realization Captain America that they first showed off last October, which debuted and then disappeared. But surprises abound–almost a year after first being shown, the Bandai Samurai Captain America figure is now up for order!
Continue Reading →Time flies, huh? It seems like just yesterday that the SH Figuarts Iron Man Mark VI figure was the first Marvel Figuarts figure to ever be announced for an official North America release by Bluefin Tamashii Nations, but that figure is already scheduled to arrive next month! And with the MK VI on the way, I think it’s high time us poor, neglected (I’m being sarcastic) Iron Man fans had something new to look forward to: the SH Figuarts Iron Man Mark II figure is now up for order!
Continue Reading →Earlier today, I took notice of the fact that despite it having just hit the United States a couple weeks ago, the Bandai Tamashii Nations Samurai Spider-Man figure has already been heavily discounted online. But while early sales may be an indication that the line is destined to flop in North America, it doesn’t look to be slowing down anytime soon overseas! The third entry in the Marvel Manga Realization figure series, Samurai Captain America, has now been revealed–and this is Cap like we’ve never seen him before!
Continue Reading →UPDATE 10/28/2016: 2016 has already been a pretty epic year for Marvel collectors, with more Hasbro Marvel Legends figures hitting stores than ever before. But it just got a bit more historic!
For the first time ever, an S.H. Figuarts Marvel figure will be available directly in the U.S., and it’s even a figure set that’s only available as a limited web exclusive overseas: the Bandai SH Figuarts Iron Man Mark VI & Hall of Armor Set is now up for order!
