Diamond Select Toys brought a smaller than usual assemblage of new Marvel collectibles to New York Comic Con 2024, so I was a mite worried we wouldn’t get a good round of DST solicitations this month. Luckily, that’s not the case, as we’re getting a highly-demanded movie Select figure, two new shots at animated busts of top villains and a reissue of a store exclusive: Marvel Select Deadpool vs Wolverine Wolverine, Carnage X and busts of Green Goblin and unhelmeted Magneto are now up for order!

Diamond Select Toys doesn’t always hit a home run with their value-priced line of Marvel Gallery PVC statues (my mind is still boggled by that white-eyed Gambit from the start of 2024), but when they do good, they do great. Such is the case with today’s review of my newest entry in that line: the Marvel Gallery Silver Surfer statue is cosmically cruising into homes now, and is one of my favorite additions to the lineup in quite some time…
Continue Reading →It’s that time of the month once again: as per usual, Diamond Select Toys has several all-new Marvel collectibles they’re debuting and immediately opening for pre-orders. There’s no Marvel Select or Marvel Gallery figure this month (a rarity), but we do get an all-new trio of resin sculptures: the Marvel Animated Deadpool Jumping statue and Moon Knight/Iron Spider mini busts are now up for order!
Continue Reading →March 2024 had rushed past, which means that another wave of new solicitations for Marvel collectibles is upon us from Diamond Select Toys. And with no New York Toy Fair last month, this time all of the newly revealed DST Marvel items are ones we had no idea were coming! Arriving later this year, the Marvel Select War Machine, Animated Daredevil Bust, MCU Black Widow bust and the first-ever Weapon H Hulk statue are all up for order now!
Continue Reading →Being a total fanboy for the Skottie Young Marvel Animated statues series by Diamond Select Toys isn’t exactly one of my best-kept secrets, so I was delighted this winter to finish off a team in the line for the very first time. While the Fantastic Four is coming in fast, the FF were beaten to the team-completion punch by one of the zaniest teams in the Marvel Universe, the Guardians of the Galaxy. The Marvel Animated Drax statue is shipping now and completes the movie roster. Here’s my review…
Continue Reading →Earlier this week I talked about the triad of new offerings from Diamond Select Toys’ latest solicitations, but I need to backtrack and discuss a trio of very popular collectibles being reissued as well: Marvel Select Advanced Suit Spider-Man, Marvel Gallery Emma Frost and the Animated Deadpool statue! Let’s take a look at these previously sold out pieces…
Continue Reading →Diamond Select Toys has held fast as the budget choice in a statue collecting market where prices have otherwise soared to unheard of heights. Their successful Marvel Gallery statues lineup has been expanding rapidly over time, including more and more X-Men joining the series over the last year. And complementing the Rogue that also arrived this winter is the other half of the 90s X-Men super couple: Marvel Gallery Gambit is now available! Should this Cajun rage into your collection?
Continue Reading →While many statue companies have decreased product offerings and edition sizes (while increasing prices) in the post-pandemic collecting landscape, Diamond Select Toys has quietly been carving out a niche for itself with the most successful and expansive series of affordable Marvel PVC statues ever: Marvel Gallery. This DST series has released a plethora of iconic comic and movie characters since it began its run in 2016, and this year the Jim Lee X-Men sub-line began to really take shape. The Marvel Gallery Rogue figure was managed to start shipping before the end of 2023–should it fly into your collection? Here’s my review…
Continue Reading →Christmas is coming a couple days early for fans and collectors of the Diamond Select Toys Marvel lines, as DST has additions to a whopping 5 Marvel lineups in their December 2023 solicitations. Coming in 2024: Marvel Select Annihilus, Gallery Joe Fixit, Animated Silver Surfer and busts of Ben Reilly Spider-Man and classic Hulk are now up for pre-order!

There’s products from a wide range of products as always (including a sweet Thrawn 1:2 scale bust!), but 4 items in particular for Marvel collectors to get excited about—Marvel Select Archangel, Marvel Gallery Silver Surfer, Marvel Animated Ghist Rider and a Legends in 3D Cyclops bust are all up for pre-orders now!
Continue Reading →New York Comic Con is no longer the collectibles powerhouse of news and reveals that it was prior to the pandemic, but at least one company is still bringing it’s ‘A-Game’ to the event: Diamond Select Toys! And for NYCC 2023, DST brought along two new Marvel Select figures never before shown at public conventions: Marvel Select Archangel and Marvel Select Annihilus!
Continue Reading →Way back in 2010, Hasbro released a classic Crimson Dynamo figure as part of their 4” Iron Man 2 line of action figures. It was a pretty great figure for that scale, and when 6@ Marvel legends returned two years later, collectors hoped a classic Crimson Dynamo would be imminent from Hasbro. 13 years and hundreds of figures later, ol’ Dynamo has still never materialized in classic form (though there was a modern version BAF). But as happens from time to time, Diamond Select Toys is picking up the slack! At SDCC 2023, Marvel Select Crimson Dynamo was revealed to complement their existing Marvel Select Titanium Man!
UPDATE 8/25/2023: Marvel Select Crimson Dynamo is now up for pre-order!
Continue Reading →Mr. Fantastic has had more than his fair share of gimmicky toys over the years. Some have been good, some have been bad. But Reed Richards’ latest release, from Diamond Select Toys, is really rather fantastic. 9 years after the Marvel Select Thing figure was released, Ben Grimm’s brainy BFF has finally arrived! Is buying the Marvel Select Mr. Fantastic figure a fantastic use of your collecting funds…?

And this time, they’re putting up for pre-order four new Marvel collectibles they just unveiled at SDCC 2023 earlier this week: Marvel Gallery Magneto, X-23 Wolverine & MCU Vision mini busts and a rare resin statue for classic Beta Ray Bill!
Continue Reading →Iceman is an original member of the X-Men, X-Factor and the Champions, but I’ve always felt a little let down by both his comic book character development and also his action figures. But now, Diamond Select Toys has released an all-new Marvel Select Iceman figure with lots of bells and whistles. Is this an essential toy of Bobby Drake, or does Hasbro still boast the best Iceman action figure in the land?
