After dropping another half dozen new Marvel Legends figures for pre-order to close out last week, let’s hope Hasbro will give collectors a little respite before hitting them up with yet another blast of solicitations. With the embargo lifted off of Avengers Endgame spoilers, we’re beginning to see the full force of movie merch solicitations finally starting to pour in. And perhaps the company most capitalizing on the rollout is a surprise—Iron Studios! After the expansive series of a dozen-plus Infinity War statues they released last year, I wasn’t sure we’d see a repeat performance of that magnitude—but the Iron Studios Endgame Rescue, Scarlet Witch, Star-Lord and Doctor Strange BDS statues are all up for order now—with many more characters to come!

If there’s one figure that I know a lot–and I mean a lot–of Hot Toys collectors have been regretting skipping lately, it’s the original Hot Toys Doctor Strange figure. With the Sorcerer Supreme’s solo movie not exactly shattering records and setting the merch world on fire, a lot of collectors skipped Benedict Cumberbatch’s first MMS figure entirely. As a result, when he was a major character with a ton of screen-time in Avengers Infinity War, the first figure exploded on the aftermarket, selling for $700-$800 this month. Every time I think that the Marvel Play Arts Kai Variant figure line is over and Square-Enix is done taking my money, they pull me back in! I really, truly thought that the Play Arts Kai Deadpool and Wolverine figures that went up for sale since last summer were the end of Marvel PAK, but it looks like the line has some life left in it! At New York Toy Fair 2017 last month, I was lucky enough to see the Marvel Play Arts Kai Magneto and Doctor Strange figures revealed in-person!
