The first two Marvel Legends Build-A-Figures of next year (Super Skrull and Demogoblin) may have only been revealed exactly zero business days ago, but Hasbro is already ready to move in for the kill and lock in collectors’ 2020 dollars! Back at San Diego Comic Con 2019, Hasbro unveiled new Marvel Legends Doctor Doom and a modern She-Hulk figures that weren’t obviously associated with any upcoming series of figures. But today at New York Comic Con 2019, the other shoe officially dropped—a full-on Marvel Legends Fantastic Four Series is coming to mass retail to kick off 2019–and it will include new versions of all four members of the Fantastic 4 team themselves!

The Fantastic Four has basically been a “nuclear” property merch-wise for quite a few years now, with very little in the way of toys and statues being released aside from a few retailer exclusive Marvel Legends. But it appears that the floodgates have now been opened, and Funko is rushing in to capitalize with a massive number of new related F4 figures: the Funko Fantastic Four POP Vinyls and Mystery Minis are now up for order, including the whole team, Doom, Galactus and more!

If there’s one Marvel licensee out there that doesn’t get the buzz and notoriety it deserves lately, it’s Bowen Designs. While Bowen was the pioneer of the Marvel mini-busts sensation and one of the first companies to mass produce Marvel statues, its star has fallen a bit over the past few years as new companies like Sideshow and Gentle Giant have begun hogging the limelight. I want to make a concentrated effort to shift some focus back on Bowen, and I’ll begin by looking at their latest-released statue: the Bowen Designs Human Torch statue… limited to just 500 pieces produced!
